NO no..this isnt a wrong post in the wrong forum..its abt KRPKAB ...just that yestrday while watching the movie and in particular a scene, i was reminded abt our show.( dats nothing new though, i often end up thinking abt our show n devakshi whenever i watch a new movie or see a new songšŸ˜†)..
Those who havnt watched the movie and are plannin to watch, kindly do not read further as it may contain spoilers regadin a particular scene i am gonna talk abt..

Coming to the movie i loved it as much as i loved the first part..and i loved Prabhas all the more in this part mainly coz he was shown as a true hero, not just coz he fiought like one..but coz he is shown as a man who stands up for the woman he loves even if it meant moving away from his loved ones n his kingdom..Now y did i relate it to our show?? well , the kind of relation shared by him and his mother (the queen) is very similar to dev ish..its of extreme love, and devotion..But in the movie, he isnt the real son but the orphaned kid of her brother whom she breastfeeds and brings up as her own son and even announces him to be the new king over her son coz she knew he was more deserving..hence he was extremely devoted to his mother ( a scene i the first part where he tks on a scorpion bite just so that she isnt disturbed during her prayer )...

But then comes a scene, where his evil bro ... queens real son puts forth a desire to marry a princess who he knows is in love wth bahubali..and the queen without knowing abt the love affair betn her n BB agrees owing to her guilt of not giving the kings throne to her own son..but when finally she knows the truth, pressured under her promise, she forces the princess her marry her son and when she disagrees , asks her army to chain her and there stands tall in front of her..our hero...the people there question him abt how can he go against his mother who bought him up like his own son.and kinda makes him guilty...but then he remembers her teaching durin his childhood which said that if you are on the side of truth n justice , u do not need to b afraid to speak up even against God and yes his mom was his god...he openly stated that to force a girl against her will is wrong and you are wrong...and this resulted in him losing his family n kingdon but it din stop him from being a devoted son ..he loved his mother until his last breath...and the mother ,wen finally she realized the truth ,she regretted and took steps to correct her mistake...

And at the end of th movie , we come out totally in love of the strong man and also his mom..she was blinded by wrong people for a short while but she found her way back...and thus gaining our love..the hero is still considered a devoted son inspite of him standing up against his mother when she was wong..

Now my question is, when willl our CVS realise that being a hero doesnt mean showing a man not going against his mom, when she is wrong..,it wldnt show him in a negative light ,infact it wld earn him more respect..he doesnt have to hate his mother..he doesnt have to leave her..al he needs is to say this is wrong and you r wrong..why do out makers shy away from showing a mother doing wrong and learning from her mistkes..why do they end up having the hero n the heroine tke up all the blame on themselves and directing all the sympathy towards d mother inspite of her doing the most heinous of the crimes..a crime is a crime..whoever does it ! period...we don expect dev to put her in jail for it..but one dialogue saying mom you were wrong in wat u did wth sonakshi...but alas , that wld just b a dream..coz the cvs r busy making the hero tke up all the blame on himself and to help him the heroine does that too..

During the scene in the movie, where the hero stands up for the girl, against his mother and tells her that you are wrong in what you r doing now and i wll not allow anyone to touch the girl..I just felt like standin up n clapping..it might have been a normal scene for many but for me its a scene i have been waiting to see since a year in my fav show and which i guess i wld never ever see...i wish the makers watch the movie to see how beautifully they portrayed women liberation in the movie and how a "hero" actually acts like..its not all abt being an obedient son and lover boy..who blames himself for everything wrong in his life..its abt how you tke up a stand against wrong and still not failing to be a gud son .

Yes i do agree with your posting relating to our show ..All of us were waiting for Dev standing up to his mom which we never got to see in preleap but now post...i still see the same direction that is taking the route of allevating Ishus status despite how many faults or problems being created ...!

hhehe..but i jus narrated a 5 min scene from the movie..the movie is much much more than that..d fact is that inspite of it being a period fantasy , they show women equivalent to men and capable enought to tke her own decisions...and the man who respects and cherishes the women as she is...
Yeah, as far as our show is concerned, i wonder y r d makers so scared to show such a scene...its all back to how it was in pre leap...i dont know if i shld even hope for dev to tke a stand in future seeing the way he is made to be all the more guilty n grateful to his mother after the khatri track..god knows wat they r plannin to show..šŸ˜•

Totally agree with u. Just finished watching the movie and i loved how ML empowers the FL to fight her battles instead of showing her as a damsel in distress... so much so tht she can make a demand to him in front of the royalty to claim the power for the ppl. How i wish to see such a portrayal in our show.. Sona has already subtly expressed her wish to be empowered to fight her own battles which dev has completely overlooked..

In the movie females were more progressive than this show or other show on tv because Indian tv writers have never been progressive.
Comparing this show with bb2 ur topic might get closed because ppl won't like it compared with devish and devakshi.
But the movie was awesome and I respect the writer for making the character of women so strong and sensible male in the movie.
Forget it in this show we will never get dev pointing out ishwari fault instead bhakth dev will fall on her feet and sona already being a fan of ishwari.
To justify ishwari they ruined sona character so better keep ur expectations low on ishwari realizing or dev correcting ishwari and pointing out her wrong doings

i havnt compared devakshi to anyone ...and i am totally a devakshi fan which most of my friends here know..which i know you are not esp with the current story..respect your opinion ..but i don consider the show regressive at all...infact i loved the way our lead heroine is in the show unlike the typical bahus on tv...i was jus talking abt the mother son duo..and abt y it isnt wrong the show a son letting a mother know when she is wrong..without failing to be a gud son at the same time..and i am sure most of the people in the forum wld agree with me..i don thnk anyone supports the dev ish bond we see today..of blind n conditonal love ..as far as dev is concerned, he has always been in for women enpowerment..he was proud of the fact that sona is a famous n the best nutritionist..he was proud of the fact that she is a strong women...watever problem arises betn them is coz of dev wanting to be a gud son to ishwari and being guilt ridden if he went against her even once..which is done by the makers..coz dev is jus a character which they mould acccordin to their wishes..

Sappu...our show getting the 1-year extension is the real culprit for not yet showing Dev correcting his mother. And since we all are responsible for giving Devakshi the hype they are enjoying now, we are also in some way responsible for the 1-year extension. So, instead of complaining, lets' give the makers & CVs some breathing space and just sit back & watch the show...Afterall, we are getting more Devakshi scenes, right?...😊

I too loved devakshi initially but not now
The day dev ignored sona and supported ishwari that to when sona needed him to stand for her infertility chapter that's when I hated him the most it got worse the day he threw sona out of his house
He might be progressive in being proud of sona and girls empowerment but he is confused when his mom is around that's what made me dislike dev the most
Sona character was the best were they showed her so strong and inspiring.
The problem with dev is he is blind folded when it comes to his mom
Balancing is not his cup of tea he can only concentrate on one person that's ishwari
He doesn't know or understand what sona feelings were how much pain sona too faced he might express in words but as a person he only sees ishwari pain
Same thing he is doing with golu neglecting him for soha
He is messed up
After ishwari returns he won't point out on her deeds instead he might worsen it for sona he always puts sona in the loop he will hide the truth about sona tracking down katri to jail and will make her believe that sona was the one who brought up old thing to get revenge and rip the mother and son apart that's what they are going to show mark my word
Writers are not progressive as we always want
