It's easy to blame that what Saurabh did was OTT yesterday. But, samajdhaari is mein hein, jab hum sochega vo aisa kyon react karte hein. Saurabh's yesterday's reaction has nothing to do with his love for Sona. He still cares for and love his sister. Otherwise he would not have cancelled his HM trip. What Saurabh is scared for is would he be able to be an acha husband? He has asked this question to Dev & Ronita already. And if you notice his conversations with Ronita before marriage, whenever Ronita compliments him, he gets it double assured by asking Shoti. The way he was treated by Bijoy turned Saurabh into a person who lacked confidence. Sona was the only one who occasionally used to support & boost him up. But still the main problem was not confronted till Asha told Sona, on the night of the theft, that Sona has not grown up enough to take the decision...means till then Sona was the decision maker in Bose house. Saurabh had no role in the decisions made in Bose house.
Now, jab se Ronita has come into Saurabh's live, in every conversation they had, she had only words of encouragement, understanding, support etc. to give him. When he told her not to discuss about the ongoing tensions between Dev & Sona with her parents, she obeyed. This was the first time Saurabh was greatly appreciated and acknowledged for the person he is. And the level of understanding Ronita showed with his parents was also notable. The girl who was not happy when someone teased Saurabh at the restaurant was more than happy when Bijoy called him football. Again, when he himself was not happy with Bijoy taking Soha to Kolkota, she was the one who made him understand Bijoy's concern for his girls. So, Saurabh is now in an overwhelmed situation where he himself is feeling that, does a good for nothing person like him, deserve Ronita. And to top it all, deep down, he is scared by what happened in Sona's life because Dev didn't take a stand for her and how it led to their separation. For Saurabh, Ronita is an unfound treasure, which he doesn't want to loose at any cost. So, for that he will go to any extent. And this is not the first time he behaved so. First, he questioned Bijoy for interfering in Sona's life, while Ronita was standing outside the house after they came back from the reastaurant. Second time on the theft day. And it will continue, until someone assures that nothing like what happened in Dev-Sona's life will happen to him.
