But he didn't get to see khatri after leap, no. Waise with my experience in Hindi serials at one point only one brain works in a show. If its the actress's then hero ka batti goes Gul and if its the hero's then, well that situation doesn't arise in Hindi serials

Dev doesn't know that Khatri is back. If he had known it he would not have investigated at all, he would have killed Khatri.

I think he developed his investigative skill while he was after sonakshi and her personal life.. i think khatri had disappeared from scene by then..

Besides this skill he uses only to track down sonakshis potential matches/boy friends and dont really use them when needed like riyas marriage alliance etc
