Asha firstly she knows that Dev did love her daughter

she also understands due to pressure from family he could balance his relation with his wife and I do think she believes in giving second chances

like she told Sona she cannot judge Dev as a husband she can as a father and he is a good one at that

I believe Asha wants both Sona and Dev too realize their mistakes and learn from it so they can become one again but stronger and with understanding

Yes exactly. Why did Asha conveniently forget that she had an extremely supportive mother in law to help her see through difficult times? Sona had neither a supportive husband nor an understanding mother in law.

Asha did a good thing. She tried to enlighten Sona about perfection. Actually Asha knew Sona's perfection obsession. So she said nothing can be perfect instantly . One has to work towards achieving that stage. Irony of life is what looks perfect for us may be imperfect for others. Asha emphasised the need to co exist and work together to make a relationship work well. I am happy Sonakshi understood the essence of her mother's words.
