It actually happens in many households in India.

Wish the show will show something to break this stereotype..or for that matter showing growth in the characters.

We were enticed by the progressive ads for this story and the romanticism portrayed in S1. It turns out the writers ran out of steam and decided to make a fresh start with S2 but that has put them in the same bracket as other shows on tele now (except Peshwa Bajirao, sorry for the plug, but if you want something progressive, watch that!)

There are lots of things in this show I am happy to turn a blind eye to but manners - like Bijoy Bose says that should come with progress, No? For example, Dev coming in to the Boses house and riling up Papa Bose is all fine but why in front of their guests? Dev riling up Sona is fine but why snatch award in public? Like tennis players, certain amount of frustration and temper is acceptable but the first time they swear or break their racket or kick a ball, its code violation. Anger is acceptable, its only a natural emotion but if that makes you break public etiquette, that is unacceptable.

Issues like personal space, I can understand being a problem for middle class families but the Boses and Dixits aren't that anymore, are they?

Perhaps, promises are to be broken :-)

Nice update Tia. And you are right Dev will be as protective Papa if not more as Bijoy. Dev understands Bijoy so won't mind Bijoy's antics but Sona-Ishwari equations is not the same!

I hv taken break from dis show...episodes and segment r spoiling my mood.i ll follow only written updates now onwards.no more patience to tolerate dev -sona foolish,stupid attitude.

Writers are confused they want to glorify dev and ish action and tag it as mother - son duo whose love is infinity and a girl like sona comes and destroy there love as she is vamp in the story .
After leap we saw dev only blaming sona of leaving him and keeping soha away not once blaming his mom because he thinks sona did wrong but mom did it out of love .
Bose family are at fault because they haven't taught sona to bow like tommy in front of dixits they have brought up sona as strong individual .
Dev angry because sona chose bose over dixit but writer twisted in such a way we're sona is shown as wrong and dev as right .
Dev wanted sona to stand by him even though he threw her taunted for not conceiving and being a gold digger etc

Basically writers wants to show sona is vamp and bijoy the villain who has given women equal right at men .

Dev keeps on taunting if keeping soha away says it all.

Old director had a good vision but new director has zero knowledge of script he is clueless about the characters no wonder Asha and dadi are normal and dev extra sweet ott and ish the goddess who went to temple and god gave her wish that's soha who she pampers with halwa .

New director is famous for mytho I suppose each track has no connection
One scene dev angry in one all cheesy and confused seriously they want dev as grey but not villain but script says it he is worst than Vicky and ish worst than rr

Director even cleared it no redemption from dixits but sona will for what ???
God knows these days writers portray women as so weak which century are cvs following
90s show were much progressive

In the speed show getting unbearable I would be so happy if devakshi died and then s3 Suhana is Erica and she falls for a guy who's exactly like her dad/dev. Sharica devakshi s3. I mean what can be more realistic than this we girls always look for our daddy😆

Dev is so immature as a parent. He is so eager to over-compensate and its his inherent nature to give in to every demand of his loved ones. He never really thinks about whether its a rational demand cos he has no idea how to say no and then in turn, the other party is spoilt and eventually screws up his life and happiness (Ishwari, Neha and now Soha 😆). I wish they atleast clear the house eviction MU cos its just plain odd to see everyone acting normal. I wonder what Dev will do in future if Soha demands the following-
