You said it all. 👏 . Golu is really sweet. Sometimes it's mind boggling how he can be Vickky's son and GKBs grandson.
But what he said today was really cute and full of hope. Also it was funny to see him give ideas to her.

Nitu. Great points you raised. You explored the situations Boses verses Dixits and Boses verses Mandals very well. Agree with you. Bijoy Bose took advantage over Iswari who literally begged for the marriage. He made way for Bengali marriage and customs happen to his satisfaction.

Now with Mandals he is on the defence and quite agitated for his son who is falsely attributed with diabetes. Yes. He waits for an opportunity to lock horns with Iswari. Anytime,anywhere.

I wonder why he still fails to recognise Dev's unconditional love for Sona that made him ignore her infertility issue. Society is filled with people like Mrs. Mandal who can believe a stranger like GKB and demand explanation from her prospective Samdhans.

Bijoy failed to see goodness and nobility in Dev. He could not acknowledge Dev's singleminded love for Sonakshi. He preferred hatred towards his son in law and became the major reason for his daughter's failed marriage.Had he been as soft and submissive ( like he is with Mandals now ) in the past,a marriage would have survived, With the passage of time Dev and Sonakshi would have learnt to solve their problems with amicable solutions.

I'm talking a few words bout Bijoy today .

Bijoy very much liked dev as a person. Wen dev broke kushal roy alliance , bijoy went to confront dev in his office. There he met an elderly man who thanked dev for arranging his daughter's marriage & giving her a job. Wen dev asked bijoy bout the reason for his coming, he answered bak that he got his answer without even asking. Bijoy considered dev as a good man . Wen dev spoiled asha's b'day cake which sona bought, he rectified his mistake by arranging another sugar free cake & delivering on time . Dev wanted to leave without even entering sona's home but bijoy's hospitality made dev to attend that function & spent some time with the bose family for the first time & he experienced a different pleasant atmosphere all together there. Then sona accident came. Bose family's luv n respect towards dev increased . But this equation went wrong wen ishwari entered into the picture .

Wen dev disclosed bout his luv interest to his maa after the chulha drama, bose family came to dixit house , then ishwari literally insulted them . Bijoy even asked sona if she want to continue with this rishta bcoz he very well knew that ishwari is a hard nut to crack. Then sleeping pills drama..devakshi break up. Then ishwari sent that bracelet to sona's house which too infuriated bijoy ( bijoy confronted ishwari & gave exact definitions of everyone's luv ..Kudos writers !! ) . Dev broke sona ritwick engagement & his breakdown made ishwari beg in front of boses.

Now even after all these incidents, if bijoy did show superiority , who need to blame ? Again wat hapnd ? Emergence of prenup. Even before marriage, one 's talking bout divorce, Considering these incidents, any sane person will behave like the same way bijoy behaved . I cudn find anything wrong with bijoy that time. But one thing i didn like was the way he treated saurav. Asha always supported saurav but bijoy showed preference for sona . But after sona's marriage wen saurav faced problems in business, bijoy stood with his son .

Bijoy's only demand for the marriage was it shud b done according to bengali rituals. Now after all these dramas & an additional GKB, i didn find anything wrong with him even if he demanded such a thing .

Dev's luv was considered unconditional jst bcoz he willingly married sona knowing her medical conditions. But to b honest, i felt dev's luv as conditonal bcoz he didn want to lose sona as she had became his necessity . Had he discussed that medical condition with @ least sona's side , the result wud've been different .Then dev's luv rise to that unconditional level.

Bijoy was very protective bout sona, like every other father. He want others to accept sona as she is. That's y he was against sona changing in to dixit 's rules, like doing the poojas , following their rituals etc. Bijoy did had a good rapport with dev.. "Mussorie ki kasam " showed their great bonding. Now did bijoy consider dev as a beta or did dev consider bijoy as a baba , i'm still in confusion bcoz if it is so then the accidental slap wudn hav hapnd. But to err is humane & forgiving n forgetting r some simple techniques which will enhance the peaceful n easy living of every one.

P.S. Post leap bijoy is hyper ventillating n much annoying @ times. But v can c that transformation of bijoy . I wudn b surpriesd if bijoy emerged as an ishwari wen dev re -enter in sona life as b4 with full haq.

No offense to anyone..solely my POV.

Thanks so much for writing this! I had a similar inkling about their walk, but wasn't able to articulate it so I am happy to read your post and emphatically agree with it. And, if I may piggyback on your observations, I think that we got a glimpse of what is happening now as well. 7 years ago, when they disagreed about the right path, they each followed their egos and chose separate ones. Their respective monologues as soon as they split were very revealing. An aggravated Dev expressed his frustration that Sona always throught only she could be right, and declares the she isn't his responsibility because she *chose to leave* (sound familiar?). Sona showed irritation that "Indian Jones" (🤣) said he knew the right path but insisted on leading them down what she thought was the wrong one. Neither one of them was willing to overcome their pride and try to communicate with the other or concede.

And then Dev thought of Soha. While he didn't feel responsible for Sonakshi herself, he felt responsible for Soha's mother. His complete acceptance of the fact that Soha doesn't come without Sona is admirable. If he were a less sensitive person, he might have reasoned that if Sona got lost took a while to get back to the camp, he would have more time with his daughter. But Dev is not totally clueless and he is beginning to understand his daughter very quickly. And it's only when Dev goes looking for Sona, in the interest of maintaining a relationship with his daughter, that he discovers Sonakshi is badly injured and uncosncious. Therefore, it is through Soha's mother that Dev is coming close enough to Sonakshi to see how badly hurt she is.

Because of the situation, Dev realised sooner that the path to Soha could only be found with Sonakshi by his side. For Sona, that is a little less obvious because she has had Soha with her all this time. But when she rushed forth to go to her daughter, she found herself incapacitated and calling out desperately for Dev's help. Dev was able to find and help her only by following the sound of her voice -- she has to ask for help before it's too late. I thought it was really telling that the first thing he did was let her rest. And then he said a line that went all echo-ey in my head for the double entendre (not a GM one, but we can come to that later 😉).

"Ho sakta hai tissue tear hai; uspe pressure dalogi to dard badjayega. Dard thoda kam ho jayega to chale jayenge vapas."

This totally applies to the "tissue tear' in their relationship. Since they have met, they have been putting more and more pressure on their old injury and the pain has only increased. Now that this injury is manifest physically, they are forced to deal with it before they return to Soha. This expedition to the forest has been instrumental in allowing Dev and Sona to express their grievances -- Dev's frustration with Soha not calling him "papa" and judging by the precap, Sona's frustration that Dev is showing so much concern for Soha -- putting her above everything else -- when, if he had done the same for her 7 years ago, they could have been happy and together now. Through this honest communication and venting, the pain that constantly puts a barrier between them will lessen enough for them to cooperate as Soha's parents. They will return to the camp, to Soha, only when the pain has lessened a little bit.

"Choosing the right over the pleasant is a sign of power"

In Dixit house unfortunately none show that power. Ishwari realized that GKB was lying but still did not say much except for a warning that Soha is presently with Bose family( so we need to be pleasant to them .. no mention of right or wrong). Mamaji has time again witnessed evil intentions of GKB but has not gone beyond mild rebuke and back to hi Kachori with Haan bhai. Mamaji is actually quite clever and keeps praising Ishwari whether she is right or wrong. Dev also has chosen his mom whether she is right or wrong. In this scenario, the persons who most benefited were the wrong ones, GKB and Vicky. They are a happy family, Mamaji, GKB, Vicky, Elena and Golu. Under the same roof, enjoying the comforts. Whereas Ishwari, Dev, Sona and Soha are battling out.

Yesterday also it was cunning GKB and Vicky who were the root cause of the problem. Just like S1.

1. GKB and Vicky creates problem.

2. Ishwari is either not aware of the problem(Yesterday) or mildly supports GKB(S1)

3. Bijoy comes and shouts his allegation.

4. Ishwari and Bijoy lock horns

5. Dev is either absent(yesterday) or mildly protests(S1)

6. Sona becomes the victim .. again!

@Shaavi i think in precap when sona saz if you had given me rights 7 years back we wud have been a happy family i guess she is talking about ishwari being always in priority for dev , whenever he had to choose he most of the times chose ishwari ...for her dev dint try enuf to give sona rights and respect of his wife in dixit household ...

Totally agree with everything you have said although there is one thing that I would like Sonakshi to do or the CVs to show. As much as Sonakshi is being honest about what Dev should have done or do, she also needs to be honest about herself too. It will be nice if Sonakshi admits she was wrong too.

In the episode when she wakes up and comes to know that they are late and cannot return to camp immediately, I don't want her to blame Dev completely for it. I want her to accept her fault too of not listening and getting lost. This is one of Sonakshi's habits that she needs to overcome before being effective as co parents to Soha.

Will wait for the episode to air but wanted to share my wish. 😃
