As per the story shown , Elena stayed back and took all the abuses from Dixit for Golu but what stopped Elena dear from taking care of Golu as a mom and save Golu from Dev Bhai who is interested in making him a cool dude ? I would have believed her story if she had shown some interest in the child .She stayed back for her selfish reasons .She knew what Vicky is when she is married him .

Atleast she iappreciates Dev's effort and his role in Golu's upbringing else neither she nor her husband is interested in the kid or his studies .

'as per the story shown'- i base my opinions on what is shown as you say and tend not to speculate on whats not shown or shown as of yet. if the makers explicitly show she had other 'selfish' motives, i will be sure to address that. but for now, this is it i think. and if you read my post carefully i clearly did say that she should b a more pro-active ma to golu than fuss over soha. as for dev's efforts and upbringing, i dont find golu to be a particularly structured child. dev loves him but the love lacks practicality. a wise parent does not flirt their children out of trouble at school- they reprimand them, nor do they send their children with phones to the classroom for their own agendas. there are many such instances when golu shouldve been pushed to make smarter choices by dev instead of being indulged. the child's heart is in the right place and its because of dev. but in addition to the heart, the mind also needs to be in the right place and children need structure and a role model who is realistic. dev is shown to be a genius- not everyone is a genius though. golu cant emulate dev's lifestyle and just achieve success, hes not dev dixit. as such, he should be encouraged to value trying and learning instead of idealizing the biker cool dude image of dev. dev can only afford that image cos he struggled and worked hard in his youth. so he should be instilling those values in golu. that is not the case as far as the story has shown.

It's a story so often we see characters speak only their side of story from their perspective whereas We audience see the complete picture and can understand the characters whether they are being honest or not .The track had not been opened completely..usually makers dont show everything explicitly they leave it to the audience to judge the characters .Till now we have only seen Elena's story from her mouth which doesn't sync with the way she has behaved with her son till now so it's hard to believe she stayed back for her son .

Golu might not be the overachieving kid but definitely comes across as a normal kid who is naughty,playful and at times mischievous too especially coming from a dysfunctional family where parents don't have time for him and is basically a neglected kid . To certain extent the credit goes to Dev for being there for the kid even though he is not his blood . Dev is not a perfect guardian nor he claims to be one and his parenting skills is based on his past experiences.At an young age he was burdened with the responsibilities and was expected to excel in his studies because of which he lost his childhood .So he ensures Golu has a balance of both studies and play .Regarding flirting with the teacher , his intention was to get the teacher to help If the child is lacking behind other students it becomes the responsibility of the teacher to make sure the child is given extra attention or compensate with tuitions . That's what he did but in his own way .When Golu pushed Suhana we could see a sensible guardian who did the needful .

Just to add ..i think comparing prenup and this agreement may not be the right thing as prenup was done when ishu and dev had a good relationship . Whereas agreement by sona is to protect herself from a bad relationship and past experience. Sona not trusting Dev to safeguard her interest is based on her past experience whereas ishwari had no bad experience with Dev not being trustworthy to her or her family.
