*Season 2, Week 8* Analysis Thread - Page 36

I was watching some old episodes and felt this train of thought which I wanted to share. In S1 most of whatever Sonakshi knows about Dev's "goodness", she knows it from another person. Here is the list --
1) Sonakshi came to know of his kindness as employer from the driver who followed her in the car @ midnight.
2) The extent of effort he put to get the sugarless cake for her was thru the chef.
3) information regarding his past struggle regarding money by his teacher and by his stories during her accident.
4) His waiting in the hospital the whole night, getting his employees to come at that time to donate blood and everything through Elena and Saurabh.
5) His gifts to her family during Diwali by Elena.
6) His investment in her company by Saurabh.
7) How he doesn't laugh or his caring and love for his family through his sisters and Ishwari.

Please include any others if I missed any. 😊

But his mistakes she knew firsthand --

1) getting her thrown from the job, then closing all her doors so that she is left with no choice but to accept his job offer.
2) breaking her alliance proposal with Kushal.
3) scolding her without waiting to know the truth on various occasions like Nikki party fiasco, Ishwari eating oily food etc.
4) him stalking her, interfering in her affairs and intruding on her date with Ritwick when he had no right whatsoever.
5) him trying to gift Ranveer with flat, job etc which she saw as an insult.
6) His method of doing things with right intentions in the wrong way. All the events that he did including lying about her pregnancy and infertility, please include everything.

When Sonakshi talks to Ishwari regarding Dev calling Asha as Aunty, she says she knows Dev and his mistakes. Before that whenever she talked with Elena, she would say, she knows his ego and attitude.

I feel this is the reason why she easily believed that Dev could have done the things like evicting them or the signing of prenup document. This was the reason why she did not trust him. Also maybe one of the reasons why she fell in love with him in the first place. Meaning she felt that he is grey shaded who had goodness in him, but also had bad qualities. You know like good girls attracted towards bad guys and want to change them kind of thing.

In this season Sonakshi most of the time repeats that he is predictable and that she knows him. But also gets surprised when he does something she doesn't expect like telling the truth to police and putting on the handcuffs himself, admitting that he locked her in office knowingly or when he says that he snuck into Soha's bedroom and also when Dev did not say anything when she accused him of not taking care of Suhana.

Conversely Dev knows all of Sonakshi's goodness firsthand. Be it her kindness with Ishwari, Neha, Nikki or Riya or with himself when saying no to the job offer, and many such instances. Hence he trusts her implicitly.

I think in this season Sonakshi will learn about Dev's goodness firsthand, while also learning more about his past life. Dev on the other hand learns about Her real feelings in regards to him and also her vulnerabilities and fears.

Just my POV.

DQ, beautifully explained. When I read the part where you said that the front and back of a person is occupied by different characters I was immediately reminded of Voldemort and Professor Quirrel in the first HP. 😆

@Sia, I do believe in fairy tales and loves reading them. And I have never met a Dev or Sona in real life. But many Ishwaries though. 😃 I have many friends who inspired me and proved with their life that fairy tales do exist in real life if you are willing to listen to your heart. 😳

Whenever I show any special comment I receive here to my hubby gloating myself , he will say "Huh ask them to write the same after living with you for years like me..poor people are getting deceived by your angelic side" 🤣 . But in a way he is true too, nobody knows my tantrum side except him and vice versa, maybe because we take each other for granted and show our real nature of childishness and rage only between us. Thats why I can always forgive Dev and Sona for their insensitiveness towards each other because as a couple they take each other for granted😳.

Mahua: Thank you so much for posting those collages..Golu was absolute delight in friday's episode and you have captured those expressions so aptly..Special jhappi for sharing the same 🤗..btw one doubt, you mentioned " I will become his Bigcha soon" and also "waiting for my prince charming"in two separate posts that got me confused..are you boy or girl?😲... Everyone save me if Mahua chase me with broomstick after this question 😆.

Jo2345: First of all welcome to the thread (special welcome as a part of GM team😉😆). I respect your opinion and as a member of this thread from the start, I can tell you why you feel this thread looks like favoring Dev (which is untrue IMO), because this thread allows all members to express their views without demeaning others and it gave platform for other members who have genuine reasons to express about ML other than physical attractions to share here. Since Sona character is pretty much transparent compared to Dev in season 2, entire forum connects with Sona easily but not with Dev which was analyzed here mostly. There are members who do disagree with some views here too but we merely show them by counter discussions if any or by merely "likes" which might have given you that impression. The main purpose of this thread is to understand each character better and it is achieved here successfully with some wonderful writers here. Please don't be a silent ghost here , would love to read more balanced insights from you as well😊.

Devakshi1 : I loved your "I , me , myself" post very much ! Because it takes immense courage to accept one's misunderstanding and expressing it publicly! The mere fact that you can connect with Sona and changed your opinion about her here speaks itself about this thread and their views!😳

How the story is going to move forward?
Really sona - Jatin marriage is on the cards?
If it goes on those lines, not many of us will be interested to watch that.

If he is like a parallel lead ; they are going to show sona torn between Jatin & Dev - sorry, I am not in that audience.
I will stop watching it all together.
Most of us watch for devakshi-hopefully the makers understand that.
I don't want Dev to a last choice for sona.
Or because soha wants so.
If that is the case , I want sona also to become jealous-
Why Dev ki deewangi all the time??
I want a beautiful & understanding girl for Dev also.
He can also start living his life.

Sona doesn't love Jatin and they both know about it there might be a marriage track or not but Jatin plays ab important role in both Sona and Soha's life so it could be explored more.Also I think Sona's break down is near it could lead to many interesting possibilities.
