I have been thinking that it was good that Sona went away (and did not insist to meet him) after being refused to meet Dev, when she came to meet him with Suhana.
The reason is that nothing had resolved between them. Yes, Suhana could have bridged that gap and helped Dev and Sona to come closer, but what do we know of Sona's financial condition then? Was she debt free by then? Was she as financially secure then as she is now?
Imagine her getting back into the Dixit household. After the initial euphoria of being a grandmother, I have a feeling that Ishwari would have been back to her old manipulative ways and create troubles for both Dev and Sona. They barely have time to iron out old issues and regain trust for each other before they are faced with new situations. And let's not forget Vicky and GKB. All these are troublemakers.
There could very well be the possibility that again Sona have to leave house alone and using the power of money, Dev and family keep Suhana with them.
At least now, both are on equal footing. Although, the saddest thing is that Suhana missed out greatly in getting the love of both set of parents at same time.
P.S. - How blind is Dev? He has now understood that Ishwari is manipulative especially when she wants things to go her way. Yet he keeps forgiving her, keeps telling her stuff, like he is outside Sona's house etc.
And he's angry with Sonakshi for not trusting him and leaving him? It took Dev 7 years to realise his mother's truth, he being a son. How could Sonakshi have realised that? Couldn't he with his shrewd mind understand that perhaps his mother had manipulated situation to such an extent that in all those emotions, Sona was not able to discern truth from lies?
P.P.S - I have nothing against Dev, but i am curious as to how his mindset works. Why is it that apna apna hi hota hain aur uske saari galtiya jaante huye bhi, uske saare 7 khoon maaf hoti hain. But aapki spouse ki ek galti jindagi bhar chubhthi hain and maafi dena bhi mushkil hota hain? I have seen men like that and why do they behave that way?
