I can see interesting views on the episode pouring in, certainly it was a day of revelations and the silence that follows them.
Dev was playing hide-n-seek with Sonakshi until the moment he did not know about Ishwari shooing her off the door.
It was obviously a battle going on between the two, or War as Dev termed it.
Dev knowing about his daughter had not changed his bitterness for Sonakshi, the battle was still on and he thought the questions he had were perfect to make Sonakshi realise she was wrong too.
(He had all the valid questions BTW ; You cannot separate a child from her father? You thought I would never know? Did you not think about the child's happiness and my rights as a father for once?)
He was aggressive and intense.
Remember It has been 7 years they have been apart, living awfully, throwing away whatever they truly were before these years.
The bitterness and misunderstandings must definitely be deep-rooted to clear in one day.
7 years is long enough to lose faith in love, to be assured that whatever happened was a mistake, or to believe that they weren't meant to be.
Even the news of Soha or merely her presence in their lives cannot bring them back, just like that. Just like the bitterness is deep-rooted, The love they had for each other is now (If any) buried inside all the painful times both have seen.
If we crave to see the care and affection even in vulnerable times, we will surely be disappointed.
Both Dev and Sonakshi echo this again & e again that they are simply not interested in coming back to each other.
"Humari life me tumhare liye koi jagah nahi hai"
"Mujhe tumhari life me koi jagah chahiye bhi nahi"
Sonakshi had even taken Soha's promise that she would never try to mend her relationship with Dev.
Dev, in yesterday's episode, was all ready to fight or rather have a war with Sonakshi.
Waise, can you please elaborate Mr. Dixit how on earth were you going to have a 'war' with Sonakshi by putting so many conditions yourself ~
a. By not hurting Soha by any means.
b. By not separating her from her mother which she loved the most
c. By using 'all means' to get Soha?
Don't a and b automatically nullify c?😆 I bet Dev was talking senselessly just to reverberate the story which has been spoken 100 times already : That we won't be together!😕😆
We understand Dev babu, but Destiny doesn't.😃
So, in a way, Dev was using his questions to threat Sonakshi, not even threat, but to repeat that things are not going to be okay between them.
He was successful in bringing out the most insecure self of Sonakshi who is scared to lose her daughter, her sooraj, it makes her scream
"Wo sirf meri beti hai" again and again!
Thankfully, Sonakshi had come with a mellowed approach already.
If one is fire, the other has to be water not kerosene..otherwise hell breaks loose.😆
Arrey, but Sonakshi was all fiery too, You may say😲
Of course she was
But if Dev had all the right questions, Sonakshi had all the right answers to them too.
Dev's biggest issue was Sonakshi never approached him with Soha again.
He was visibly hurt when he said
"Mai sab kuch bhool sakta tha, sab kuch pehle ki tarah thik ho sakta tha.."🥺
He thought because Suhana in their lives would mean them coming back together or Atleast being in contact again, Sona intentionally kept her away.
But the truth is Sonakshi never shied away from it, otherwise she never would have come to Delhi or be working in the same office space again. She was just shocked by the suddenness by which it all happened.
The revelation hit him hard, that the only reason he had right now to hate Sonakshi, to think that she never took a step towards him wasn't even true!
And when Ishwari confirms that she was the one who was the sole cause of all of it, he just fell to the chair!
Did you see how he looked at Sonakshi? With eyes trying to understand her, to gauge her reaction, eyes speaking
'Why me everytime?'
Dev had understood it long back that his family never wanted his happiness but the intensity with which all this was happening was out of his thoughts.
Even after the separation, Ishwari was active enough to ensure that Sonakshi never entered his life again!
His eyes spoke that he felt betrayed for a hundredth time by his mother again, he felt stabbed because again, one more reason to convince himself to be away from Sonakshi was demolished.
I did not think Dev was passive infront of Ishwari after the revelation today, yes he did not scream or yell, or stared at her with blank eyes but his calm words spoke for itself,
"Meri hi badkismati hai"
"Pehle mujhse mera pyaar chin gaya, aur ab meri aulad"
"Jab ye sab mujhe hi samaj nhi aa raha to us nanhi si jaan ko kaise samaj ayega?"
He himself is appalled everytime he gets to know one more incident which catalysed his and Sonakshi's separation.
Does he not know it was all external? Does he not know there was always hope for being together again? Their MU was not that big in the first place, had they both conversed about it with cool minds, it would be all sorted. That never happened because the external forces took advantage of it.
That day they changed paths for their own selves but now slowly Dev is knowing it wasn't all abo themselves.
I am sure Sonakshi will know how Dev was not completely at fault either, how he was taken advantage of! Looking forward to that day..
I am so happy that very slowly, all the misunderstandings are clearing.
Like Sonakshi said,
"There is no lie between us now, whatever it is, is out in the open"
She was also hurt that he did not believe her & like a true businesswoman, she carried proofs👏
What intrigued me most is how when she got to know that Dev was clueless about her coming to IN, she had her eyes filled with sympathy.
She still does understand him, she felt sorry that he was taken advantage of yet again, that someone else took decision for his life yet again!
Even though she expressed her dissent of him questioning her everytime & blindly believing in his mom, she calmly told him that it was ultimately his decision to be with Soha or not. That as a father, he has all the right on his daughter, that she came 6 years back because she realised the same.
That she knows how it is to be without a parent because she has them, and that she knows Dev had a tough childhood too.
Sonakshi has always been impacting Dev like no one ever could, this time too..
While she said it was his decision, she also made him realise that his decision had the power to influence Suhana's life for good or for worse.
This calmed Dev down, even when he faced Dixit family, he stayed calm but firm enough to announce that no one would initiate any meet with Soha, even he won't try, until she herself decides.
There in Bose mansion, Soha has left it all in Dev and Suhana to decide, just trying to be there for her daughter meanwhile.
So in a way, it all depends on poor Soha.
This freedom of choice given to the child by both parents is affecting her so badly, both of them are unaware.
The very fact that Soha has to take a decision is pressurising the little heart so much!
On one hand, she doesn't want to disappoint her mother and on one hand, she wants to have the love of her father.
A conflicting situation, faced by her just like Dev would have. But thankfully, Sonakshi is no Ishwari. .
Hopefully she will know what Soha is going through and will ease her by telling how it is okay if she is with Dev. 😳
P.S extremely sorry for the long, long rant, don't even know whether I made sense or not😕😆
