I couldn't resist myself from quoting your post ...glad you shared why many people bash Dev .Like you said there are some neutral memebers here but mostly there are blind haters because there are different rules for each character.This might be the reason why most of the people feel IF forum is biased compared to other social media .

One thing consistent about Sonakshi's character from season 1 to season 2 is she has many good qualities but she would rnever own up her mistakes ..be it during Ritwick's engagement or even today .Dev might have some flaws but he is the one who doesn't hesitate to own up his mistakes and apologize .Let me share few instances why I feel so .

Even after bitter breakup and after knowing his ex wife hid about his daughter (for whatever reasons ) he proudly said his daughter is like her mother .He was infact happy to know Sonakshi finally became a mother instead of feeling happy for himself.On the other hand I have never seen the same kind of genuine happiness from Sonakshi when Soha spoke about Dev .If Sona was hurt due to Dev's words then Dev was equally hurt because of her false accusations.

Even in segment Dev clearly stopped Ishwari from manipulating Soha but Sonakshi could never stop Bijoy from scaring Soha or influencing her decision.

Dev the mama's boy understood his mother's role in the breakup but unfortunately Sonakshi doesn't want to acknowledge her Baba's role .Even today she lets him control her life be it spying on her or his way of controlling Soha .

Dev never once wanted to remove Sonakshi from Soha's life ..segment is the proof but Sonakshi convinently removed Dev's name from school records or birth certificate...it contradicts when she says she never wanted to separate father daughter duo or she gave the freedom to Soha .I don't see how it's beneficial for Soha if her father name is removed from records ..I only see it as the reason to get back at Dev .

Let me tell those members, that if dev would have told this truth after few weeks then still nothing will be going to change as obiously again soha will get shock as this truth is like that only that soha will be going to effect by that...aaj sach btao ya kal

And I think dev have given her time and will give decision to soha that she wants to be with him or not and he will not force her...according to today segment.

So where dev is wrong ?

Wow !! There is so much hate in this post ... But anyways I am a neutral member. I don't dislike either dev or sonakshis character. I truly love Asha's character and hate Ishwaris character. To me Asha is mature and Ishwari is childlike and enormously insecure.
Having said that I will refute your claim on Dev superior maturity. In any divorce case where there is a child involved it is can be criminally prosecuted if the child is approached without the consent of the parent incharge. In this case it is the MOTHER . Legally it does not matter if he didn't know, she should have informed... Those are moral and ethical dilemma. Once =they were divorced.. the Mother brought the child into the world and she has sole responsibility and right over her until the other parent approaches the court and proves otherwise.
But aside from that ... What is the Maturity is stalking a small girl at her home and at school. (Cant believe the unbelievable lax security of the school - but that's another rant) If Dev was not the father of the little girl it is all sorts of wrong. Likable character or otherwise. A man who is unknown to the child meets her in private in her bedroom , at her school , takes picture , eats lunch , and says he is her father... The only reason it seems pardonable is the emotion of the man who knows that girl is his daughter.
What does anyone expect .. He will ride in sweep the girl out and take her to his home and play parent happily ever after??? Sorry he was STUPID ... Not mature

# Stupid to drive her to extreme distress that she has to run away from a safe haven.
# Stupid that he does not have the maturity to understand that the little girl needs soothing and the best person to do that is her care givers and he has a duty to inform them.
Stupid that he does not have the guts to confront his ex and demand a meeting with his daughter.
Sonakshi has no moral or legal requirement to state the girls fathers name in her Birth Record or School records or any other place. Infact most developed nations only ask for a mothers name. At birth Man is only a sperm donor and he becomes a father only when he is MATURE enough to accept responsibility . Whether he turns out to be a good father or not is another point. But there cannot be a child without a mother to give birth to.

But Stupid is not the word I would use - Self Centered is more appropriate.
