Asking golu'a mom (sorry i forgot her name) to meet her family has an ulterior motive. He wants to find out about Suhana. He dint care for golu's mom and her breaking all relationships with her family and suddenly he feels emotional. True Ish's genes

I don know but i felt Dev got really emotional seeing Bose family and that's y wanted Elena to meet her family as it is big occasion that Saurav is getting engaged.

But yes, this could help him to enquire about Suhana

Selfishness aur manipulation koi Dev babu se sikhe ! Akhir kar hai to wo Ishwari ka hi beta ... THe apple does not fall far from the tree .

Due to his divorce 7 yrs back Elena had to promise to cut off all ties with the family she loved and called as her own and Dev didn't ever bother how much that must've pained her , how much she must've missed them all these years and now that he needs inside information , he's using Elena for her purpose. This man is 🤢

Agar ye Super hero hai , to super zero kya hai !

Couldn't he have appointed his usual spy team ??

no . he already told her in the first couple of episodes post leap ... that she can go talk to her family... no need to wait for any permission.

this is the not the first time he told her.. but yes this time he wants her help to find out the truth

I felt he was being honest... and this was not the first time he told her... you are right...

His defences broke down when he saw the Bose family so happy... poor guy is hurting big time... and the irony is he has been responsible for it... could not have the cake and eat it too...

Nevertheless my heart goes out to him after a long time..

I don't think he was manipulating to find out about Soha ...I guess he genuinely felt that there was a happy Ocassion in her family and she should meet them ...

Yes he did say that in the initial episode post leap. Obviously it'll help him find out about Soha as well. But it did look like he genuinely wanted her to meet her family. The most irritating thing is the CVs are dumbing down Dev's character just as per their convenience. He heard everything apart from Soha calling Saurabh mamu. Just because Shaheer isn't in the country they are dragging it.
