- First off, I have a lot of respect for a mother. My faith teaches me that, my upbringing has taught me that, my principles and ethics teach me that. That's the reason why I never couldn't bring myself to ever actually name call Ishwari until this point because its always at the back of my mind, the struggles she's been through and that she is a mother, after all. HOWEVER, when I both see such mothers around me and on tv, how I am even supposed to pay them any respect because truth to be told, they might have earned the status of a mother but they aren't just worthy of respect as human beings.
- Someone in one of your posts pointed out that Dev and Sona were actually good for each other and I agree with that. I love your posts and I always agree to whatever you have to say because its always right and makes so much sense. Having said that, I also agree that Dev and Sona would make such a great couple hadn't they been surrounded by a toxic family. Take all the toxic elements out of their lives (Ishwari, GKB, Vicky), they wouldn't have been pushed and tested to an extent that they started bringing out the worst in each other. Actually, I don't think Sona is to be blamed for whatever little 'worst' she might have said or done because the woman was tested as a wife, as a daughter-in-law, as a sister-in-law and as a woman/person beyond limits. So, she got out while she still had the chance before it was gone. That's not doing anyone any wrong, that's just saving your own life. In that sense, Dev isn't exactly a horrible person, he's just a package of psychological issues as a result of his upbringing and toxic love bestowed upon him by his mother. Having said that, the choices he makes day in and out ever since day one is what I hold him accountable for because truth being told, he really could have done better than he did.
- I love the stark contrast the episode showed between Golu and Soha, that's the power upbringing/childhood/teenage-hood has over shaping a person up. I'd like to just point that out,
Ishwari - Dev.
Dev/Vicky/Elena - Golu.
Sona - Soha.
The episode was self-explanatory and thus, I need not elaborate. Just look at how Dev shaped up under Ishwari's parenting, how Golu shaped up under Dev/Vicky/Elena's parenting (he's still a kid, surround him by good peope, he'll turn out fine) and how Soha shaped up under Sona's parenting (also being surrounded by people like Bose family members) I do think Soha's a little too perfect for a child to be because at the end of the day, children are children. They don't have such heightened sense of wisdom at this age.
- Dev and Soha's bonding was a cute scene to watch. 😳 I was again compelled to think how Dev is just altogether a new person when in company of a Miss. Bose.
- If tomorrow, Dev actually manages to figure out that Soha is Sona's daughter and not mistake her for Jatin's daughter because of all the clues and hints dropped by you, then main sabko yahan virtual meethiyan baatungi. (Don't worry, it won't be besan ka halwa. 😆 ) Not that I trust Dev to make use of his grey cells though.
- As for Sona and Ishwari's scene, Sona's too respectful and full of dignity for me to digest, although, I do admire her keeping her dignity intact and always choosing to walk out gracefully. But I would been forced to go this had I been in Sona's place (Alhumdulilah, that I'm not and I hope I never be)
