For all those who directly wanna read this OS here is the summary - Sona has told Dev about Soha..Sona and Dev has figured out Vicky's evil plans 7 years ago to separate them..Dev-Soha Sona-Golu are bonded well..but DevAkshi are still to define their relationship 7 years after..
OS -Unconventional way
Dev or Sona none of them had answer of kids' question if they will stay together always...May be they weren't even ready to face this question yet..there was so much to do before that...
Dev and Sona teamed up to expose Vicky ..Dev and Sona confronted him and it wasn't much time before he blurt out whole truth..and also Mamiji's support in it.He also told how Mamiji burnt their house and everything was for money and power..well he was going down he took his mother along..Elena was devastated to know what Vicky did..She knew Vicky's love for money but she never thought he would stoop so low..She filled a divorce and it wasn't difficult as Vicky was a criminal charged with 7 year imprisonment for all the frauds and using his post inappropriately.. It was sad for Golu as he lost his father but it's better to have none than to have one like Vicky.They didn't file a case against Mamiji but Mamaji left her..
The evening Vicky went to jail and Elena and Golu returned to Bose house..Dev and Sona sat in the office quietly..so much had happened that they never got a chance to share their pain ...Dev wanted to hear and comfort her but he knew she won't intiate so decided to share his pain..that might make her comfortable to share her as well..
He broke the silence..
"You know Sonakshi so much happened during these 7 years ...everything just fell apart..once you left i had no direction to go..i was lost. I was in pain i wanted you to comfort me to fight with me to fight for us i needed your support but you had left..well you had your reasons but i wasn't in a state to understand.. I started blaming you..i blamed maa too for prenup.. But finally i decided to change to live for myself decided to move on..i started dating girls but could never forget you..i started living carefree days but at night i craved for you...i just wanted to hug you and cry ..wanted to fight with you for leaving..but that never happened..." He was getting emotional.. His eyes were wet..
He continued.. " But you know what Sona today when i know everything i can't even imagine what you must have gone through.. Won't you share your pain with me? May be i don't have rights of husband but i can still comfort you as a friend right.." He said wiping away his tears ...
She knew why Dev shared his pain ...But to be truthful his pain wasn't any less..He had lost himself in the process..tears were threatening to come out from her eyes too..she kept looking at his eyes...for the first time after a long time they looked at each other like this ..may it was time to share every pain...
"After we separated we went to Kolkata and stayed at Mashi's house for a while..within a month I realized i was pregnant.. First person i wanted to inform was you but then i remembered prenup..i got a small job there dada and I would sit at night to develop our app and to start business but it was hard to set it up without money...then i came Delhi once to sign divorce papers..i was 2 months pregnant then..with all this struggle and medical problems during pregnancy my sole support was my family..i was 8 months pregnant when i went into early induced labor because i had eclampsia...with God's grace we both survived..but money was still a big problem..that's when Jatin came back from London..we had lost contact in all these years..but when we met he mixed with us and also Soha..He offered to invest in company but i was skeptical.. But he then explained how he would get profit too and business was based on a very good idea...i accepted offer ..i had to think about my child's future too...business picked up in 2- years and all was good..but i missed you in all these..i missed being with you ..i missed your support..and was angry at you for doing all those things.. " she sighed...eyes welling up.."But whenever i used to feel sad thinking about you i will just look at Soha..and would find you in her.."
The moment she finished her last sentence Dev instantly hugged her tears rolling down his cheek "i am sorry Sona I'm a jerk i should have been there taking care of you but i was busy blaming you..i told how you can't be good mother..but you are the best..."
For what it felt eternity they sat there crying in each other's arms..until...sona's phone rang...it was Soha ...after that they went back to their parenthood.. LikeTwo friends who have a daughter together..
Months passed they were the same..friends..or say platonic lovers..not that they weren't physically attracted to each other but they were scared to take a step ahead ..because if this time they mess up Soha's life will be affected as well..
On the other hand Elena and Jatin started dating..Golu mixed with him as well..
Ishwari's blames for Sona were still there how she was not a good bahu and kept Soha away and all..may be she was still the reason why Dev didn't want to marry Sona again..He can't put Sona through all this again..Ishwari was still insecure ..but he couldn't just leave his mother as well..He spent most days with Soha..would return home late..he would bring Soha with him sometimes to meet her dadi but Sona never took a step into that house..she just couldn't.. But at the same time she never forced Dev to leave his mother..
Everything was going relatively smooth but there was a something going inside Dev and Sona's minds...they were good friends but was that all they want?? No they craved for each other..they craved to be in each other's arms spending nights sharing love..yes they loved each other a lot..but marriage was not on the cards..both were frustrated ..what to do was the question.. To get married?? Not happening with Ishwari's insecurity again..they didn't even know how to deal with it...how to make her feel secure..and at the time they didn't wanted to deal with it..it could wait a bit longer or never..they focused in their child...but physical attraction and frustration was increasing day by day..it was evident between them..
Then one fine day at Bose house Elena and Jatin were out for a weekend sharing quality time and Asha and Bijoy had went to Kolkata to meet relative..Golu and Sona were sleeping in their room..and Dev and Sona sitting on the dining table side by side chatting over a coffee..it was like their routine almost..
Well Dev had had enough ..it wasn't like he was desperate for sex but he was craving physical intimacy with Sona his only love..he wanted to know if Sona felt same..so he started talking about where their relationship was going..but none of her answers gave the hint about she was feeling..after a while Sona went to kitchen for a refill and Dev started thinking how may be Sona wasn't anymore physically interested in him..it was just platonic from her side..little did he know she wanted it as much as him..She was thinking about how dumb Dev was couldn't he directly come to the point rather than going round and round..that's when she came up with an idea..well she was movie and tv buff before being a businesswoman that had to help...
She came with a coffee mug and started chatting...
"You know Dev, 2-3 years ago i was backpacking across the Western Europe..." Dev's eyes widened ..He knew she never went to Europe..
Sona continued she was looking straight into his eyes.." I was just outside Barcelona.." Before she could complete her sentence Dev pulled her closure and sealed her lips with his..kissing passionately.. Sona was surprised at first by sudden happening but responded once she realized what was happening..After few seconds Dev stopped just to see in her eyes and say . "well madam in these 7 years i did watch some tv to pass my time..and the "Europe Story" u just pulled on me i did see in "FRIENDS" but nice move btw ..i literally had started thinking you weren't interested in me..." They kissed few more times as if making up for all this years before Sona said " I love you Mr but this is not the right place ..should we take it to the room.." Dev happily agreed...
That night they in true terms become complete.. In each other's arms..
May be society wouldn't have accepted this..they weren't married afterall but they decided to go unconventional way ..being parents , support for each other and lovers forever or at least until they were ready to deal with his mother's insecurity and do things the society way.
P.S. "Europe story" is famous made up story by Joey in tv series Friends to woe girls ..afterwards used by Rachel on Ross ..I wanted some light hearted moments and I'm die hard FRIENDS fan so used it in my story..hope it's good if not forgive me..
P.P.S i know ending of the story is different but i was not sure how to make them deal with Ishwari and get married and also didn't want to Ishwari goody goody just like that so went a bit different way..sorry once again if anyone doesn't like it..
