Hello people ...i have never posted here but today something came to my mind and thought of writing OS.
I am not a writer and i typed from my phone at 2 AM so bear with me.. Also i couldn't think of any suitable title
And believe me it sounded really good in my thoughts but it didn't came out as good may be because of being a non-writer i lack to express emotions in my writing..Forgive me if it's not good.
The story starts from where Dev decides to meet Golu's classmate and On the other end Sona tries to fight with her insecurities about revealing the truth...
OS
Dev on the one end goes to drop Golu school and also to meet Suhana Bose..He felt some weird connection with this girl even though he never had met her..Golu points towards the girl who was busy doing some drawing and tells his Bigcha that she is Suhana and then runs away with his friends...
Sona on the other end finally decides to tell Dev about Soha..She thinks no matter what prenup said or no matter what her insecurities were..Dev still need to know about his daughter.. She takes the phone and decides to call Dev ..
As Dev is about to meet Suhana Bose she gets a call and he stops to see who is it??He sees it's Sona a smile appears on his face but quickly he wipes it away as a brand new Dev who wants to irritate Sona takes the place...he answers the call
"Hello Ms Bose..aaj itni subah subah call missing me right??"
"Dev,i need to tell you something important.. You wanted to know about sun in my life right i want to tell you about that"
"I know about it and seriously i don't wanna know about it at all." Dev said..he lied actually he wanted to know how she could just move on with Jatin when he still is stuck in her memories.
"It's not who you think Dev it's not Jatin.I know you think he is ..." She left the line in midway..."My sun is someone else..and guess even you would like to know about that."
Dev realized she was being serious and definitely it was something important .He replied "I'm listening So...i mean Ms Bose"
"Not on the phone ,Dev. Can we meet somewhere?"
"Office?? It's early no employee will be there if you are okay?"
"It's perfect" came the reply...
20 mins later
Dev and Sona were sitting in Dev's cabin there was heavy silence between them..after 7 years they were sitting like this to talk not to fight...
After few more min of silence sona said..
"I have to tell you something.. Something i kept from you all these years..believe me i had my reasons but now i think you at least need to know." With this sona looked at Dev whose eyes were mixed of curiosity, confusion ..She continued "You and I have a daughter, Dev"
Dev couldn't believe his ears...Sona continued to tell how she was pregnant when they separated and gave a birth to baby girl but nothing reached his ears..he was lost in his thoughts happy with the fact that he was a father of a tiny khargosh at the same time sad that he missed out on being a father to a lil girl...
Sona waited for Dev to say something she knew Dev might be angry but then she had a reason as well..-prenup where it was clearly stated that in case of divorce Dev would have no responsibility of any child.
Dev's eyes were turning red and was almost filled with tears..."How could you do this Sonakshi..how could you not tell me about my ..our daughter??"He said in sad and angry tone as he held sona by her arm..
Sona though taken a back by sudden anger retorted back with the same angry yet disappointed tone " because you sined a prenup Dev you never wanted responsibility of child ..you didn't even believe in our relationship"
"How many times Sona how many times i told you i was tricked into signing it ..i didn't even know it had clause like this" he said as he continued crying. His eyes were filled with anger and sadness..love of his life didn't trusted his words..
"How am I supposed to believe a guy who threw my family on road on the middle of the night ..i didn't even believe you could do that but when you kept cutting my calls i realized you did do that...after that how can i believe you didn't sign prenup and even if you are right what if you snatch my daughter away from me?? Answer me Dev.." After all this years all the frustration was coming out of Sona
Dev was speechless though he blamed Sona for leaving him,He had been at fault too..he in a drunken state made her family homeless..But then suddenly something strikes him "you called me ??when? How come I don't remember?"
"Because you were too drunk Mr" Sona said angrily as the memories of that night came back to her.
"No Sona, i do remember all other things even though i was drunk..come to think of it only thing i don't remember is when i offered vicky to throw you all out and when i cut your call..isn't it fishy?"
"What are you trying to say?" Sona asked..
" I need to go to farm house may be there i can remember something by being in the same place..please come with me"
Sona didn't know for some reason she saw honesty in his eyes..he was being genuine today and not playing games his eyes spoke volumes..
After 40 min quiet ride to farmhouse.
Dev was frustrated as he enter the farmhouse.. Something was weird ..fishy. something he couldn't think what but was unnatural.. How did he forget only one particular part of the night.
As Dev entered with Sona ,a watchman came running " Sab bahut salo bad aaye aap.uss raat ke baad aapko yaha dekha hi nahi...Aap kahe to aap ke aur madamji k liye chay pani lagvadu?"
"Nahi tum jao" Dev replied.
"Okay sab.." He started going but stopped in a way and asked "Sir ghar ke andar k CCTV band kardu? Aap security k liye rakhte ho par family k sath aate ho tab bandh kar dete ho..last time Vicky bhaiya k sath aaye the tab bhul gaye the to socha main hi puch lu"
Dev's eye widened ..how could he forget that CCTV he forgot to switch the inside ones off as he was all devastated that night..
"Ramu, 7 saal pehle ki clip ki copy hai kya??mujhe dekhni hai?"
"Ha sir sabkuch hard disc main copy kar k rakhne ka order jo diya hai aap ne"
"Get me that" he said to watchman and looked at Sona who was being a quiet spectator till now..as watchman left Dev spoke " i want to see myself how i ruined my marriage that night" he cursed himself.
As soon as watchman came back with hard disc he switched on the computer of his room and inserted the disc ...as the screen played the events of that night Dev and Sona both were shocked ..slowly they realized what happened..
Sona was shocked "oh my god you were right you didn't sign prenup knowingly and you didn't threw us out..How could i not trust you? I made a huge mistake Dev.."
Dev who was shocked by his brother's evil plan composed himself and consoled Sona " it's not your mistake that you didn't trust me..even i couldn't trust myself even i believed that i ordered Vicky ..when i can't believe in myself how can i expect you too.you always told me how vicky's intentions were not right but i never believed he would stoop this low just for money and power." He paused for a moment and continued " and i hate myself for saying all those hurtful words to you..that too when you were carrying our baby" he broke down as he realized how hurtful he had been..."it's all my mistake.. 100% my mistake it was..i deserve to be miserable." He continued to mumble..
Now it was Sona's turn to console him when she herself was cursing herself for not trusting his words.."No Dev we wouldn't have separated if i believed you"..
For a while they continued crying and fighting over whose fault it was until they were tired and sat down on floor ...
Dev said in between his sobbing " tum boht ziddi ho Sona ...even if i agree it was a little bit of your mistake..it was still 80-20"
" no not 80-20 ...i will give you 60-40 and that's final" Sona said and soon they both burst out laughing with still tears in their eyes..
They were still the same Dev and Sona as they met for the first time...
After a while they had stopped crying and laughing and sat in pin drop silence thinking about all that happened 7 years ago and now..
It was Dev who broke the silence
" you must have gone through so much right during pregnancy and bringing up our daughter..I am sorry i wasn't there when i should have been Sona " he held her hand in his as he said " our stupid mistakes in the past made us to to pay heavy price..you went you went through all alone and i missed out on everything" he sighed
"I am sorry Dev you missed out on Suhana's childhood you didn't deserve that. And you know doesn't matter who was more at fault we both paid the price"
"Suhana??that's my tiny khargosh's name?? Suhana Bose..OMG the same suhana who studies with Golu? I almost met her today..." His eyes sparkled as he realized the girl he felt connection with was none other than his own daughter... Symbol of their love..and also that she knows and writes about him..
Suddenly he saw Sona's eyes which were full of questions.. He explained to her about whi Golu was and how Golu and Soha were in same school..
Sona couldn't stoo smiling on knowing her little sister was now a mother too and how Dev had been a father figure to him..
" Sonakshi ,do you wanna share about what you went through .. ?he hesitated but continued " during your pregnancy and all..it must have been painful... Do you wanna talk about how from being homeless you became a successful entrepreneur and a mother?"
Sona was touched by the concern in his voice she was dying to see this caring side of Dev... "May be i will Dev but not today.." Looking at the watch "right now i have to pick up soha..suhana from school and tell her she is gonna meet her father tomorrow.. I know that though she never says but she does wants to meet you..her father" "and also i have to buy gifts for Golu..afterall her Bigchachi will meet her first time."
Dev smiled...for the first time in years he smiled as wide as he could...
They stood up and Sona started to leave only to stop and turn "Dev don't you want to talk about your pain in last 7 years??"
" I will but right now i have to go and buy gifts for my daughter...i missed her so many birthdays i have to make up for that.." Dev said..
And there it was, a new beginning for Dev as a Father of Soha and for Sona as a Bigchachi of Golu..
