The last few lines of 'Indifference' were clap worthy. They sent a chill down my spine too. đ

Dev Dixit. The man who could achieve the impossible, TIME magazine's thirty under thirty, India's most eligible bachelor(who broke hearts everywhere by marrying, but was now up for grabs again) did his best to cover up the turmoil inside of him after she left. The one he ever loved, the one who was responsible for random dance parties in the kitchen, the one who always annoyed him by leaving her hair in the drain, the one who fought with him over stupid things. He did not shed a tear when he realized that there was no one to clean his mess and nag him about it, that no one was there to scold him in Bengali, that no one was there to stop him from taking sleeping pills anymore.
But one day came when the mighty Dev Dixit fell. It was in the kitchen as he stared down a packet of bread, remembering the day when he cooked' a sandwich for her, the talks that followed it, the time that flew when he was with her. He should have cherished her more had he known that she would not be there to hold his hand anymore, that her side of bed will always be cold.

5. Seven Years
He twirled his pen in his hand, legs up on the table, eyes fixed on the back of her neck. His eyes were following her around all day working in his office, it has been seven years after all, he thought trying to justify himself. Seven years since he saw those small freckles on the back of her neck, seven years since he heard her voice, that weird laughter, the twinkle in her eyes.
Sonakshi sensed his eyes on her the minute she stepped in her office. But she constantly ignored it. Meeting his eyes would be disastrous and those events which she was trying to put behind her for seven years would come back to haunt her. The way he never believed her, the times he chose his mother's reasoning over her simple basic logic, when he had her family thrown out of her house, the way her cast her aside when she could not produce a baby for him.
Dev was trying to catch her eyes so he could drink in all that he missed for seven years; Sona was trying to avoid his eyes lest she forget what she accomplished those seven years.

6. Flirt
He was uncomfortable. He could feel her eyes on him the minute he walked in the living room. She was sitting on the sofa, her black diary and dietary charts spread before her. He tries to ignore her first, eyes glued to his laptop screen. His tie feels tight around his throat until her realizes he is not wearing a tie. And when he could not ignore her anymore, he looks up at her, his eyes pleading her to stop.
But of course she doesn't. He is afraid his mother will spot them or worse even, his mami. He just wants her to his self for a couple more days before they come clean to their respective families.
He met her eyes again, adjusting his collar, his jaw dropping when she winks at him. The audacity of that girl!
"Muh band karlo dev beta warna macchar andar chala jayega" Came a voice from behind him. His head whipped around to find his mamaji looking at him smugly, his eyes twinkling.
Blushing slightly he turns his attention back to his laptop, and after a few seconds, sneakily looking at her. Of course she looked engrossed in work now, now that he was caught, but he could make out a small smile on her face. She was such a flirt.
God, did he loved her!
