Chap 4
After a week
At Dixit House
Dev-"Maa jaldi kar na!..kitne der kar rahi ho?!..Mujhe office bhi jana hai uske baad!"
Ishwari -" Arrey haa! Baba!...aa rahi hun!...Kichu ko bta rahi hu kya bnana hai!"
Dev-"Maa! Tu 1-2 din ke liye nhi 1-2 ghanton ke liye jhaa rahi hai...aake yeh sab kar lena!"
Ishwari-"Tu toh rehne hi de! Yeh sab ghr kr kaam tujhe smjh nhi aaenge!..Tu gaadi nikal main aati hu!"
As soon as Dev was going out to take out the car!..Devika shouted at the top of her lungs!
Devika -" bhai!..wait!..Main bhi aa rahi hu!...aap hospital toh jaa hi rahe ho ..mujhe bhi clg drop kar dena!".
Dev-"Haa! Haa! Le le tu benefit...sahi hai tera Maa ki wajah se leke jaa raha varna Scooty se hi jaati tu!"
Dev took out the car and Devika & Ishwari sat in it and drove to Devika's college followed by Lifeline Hospital.Where like every month Dev & Ishwari were going to meet the underprivileged children who were provided appropriate medication for their illness since they don't possess enough money to get themselves treated in reputed & expensive hospitals!
Dev's company have joined hands with Lifeline Hospital for this social cause and It was like a tradition for Dev & Ishwari to go and meet them every month for atleast once!
At Bose House
Sona was sleeping and tried awakening up to see the bright sunshine falling on her face through her room's window.
Sona -"Umm...Ele! Ele! ...kya time ho raha hai btana toh zara...7 baj gaye kyaa?!"
Sona was amazed to find that Elena wasn't there at the bed...but as soon as she could swallow that thought...she screamed at the top of her lungs when she found the Alarm Clock showing 9:00 A.M
Sona -"Maaa!! Maaa!! Main late ho gyi maa!...aap logon ne kisine uthaya kyu nhi mujhe?!...maa! Elena!...koi hai?!
Asha came up to Sona's room asking her for breakfast
Asha-"Uth gayi Shona...chal jaldi se fresh ho jaa...breakfast ready hai...aaja niche!"
Sona -"Maa!! Aap ksi baatein kar rahi ho?!...u know I got late todaya aur apka breakfast yaad aa raha hai!(Sona spoke in frustration)
Asha(in a calm voice) -"Arrey! Thik hai! Ho gayi late ek din toh?!...what's the big deal?!"
Tere ek din late ho jaane se patients mar nhi jaaenge...U are a nutritionist not a surgeon"
Aur vaise bhi kal kitni late ghar aai thi tu!...kitna thak gayi thi!...isliye I didn't wake u up!"
Sona was now almost in anger-"Maa! Aapko kya lagta hai...mera kaam koi mazak hai...is it a joke?!...Hospital wale chutti krne ke nhi kaam kre ke paise dete hai...and I too have a responsibility towards my patients...woh log kya sochenge ...kaisi Doctor hu main?!...I'm not punctual even...this will be so embarassing...kabse woh log mera wait kar rahe honge...ab main unko kya bolungi?!"
Sona said it all in one breath...leaving no chance for asha to give justfication!
Asha kept mum and with her looking down she tried to move out of the room.
Sona realised that she got a bit rude in talking to her mom and has hurt her and now it was time to pacify her
Sona went behind Asha ;stopped her and said
Sona-"Maa!..ruko!...(by moving Asha's face in front of her)...Sorry Maa!...Mne kuch zyada hi gussa kar diya...I'm really very sorry...aap chahe toh mujho daant lo ya mar bhi lo par aise chup mat raho!"
Asha still kept silent
Sona saw a drop of tear coming out of Asha's eyes.
Sona-"Maa! Aap ro rahe ho?!...Sry na maa!...pls forgive me...I promise aage se aise kabhi nhi bolungi mein...pls Maa!...maan jao naah!"

Asha-"bass! Bass!..Mein toh bas teri hi chinta kar rahi thi...I've seen how much tired you feel after coming home since few days...that's why I wanted you to take rest...mera intention nhi tha tujko dukhi karne kaa...isliye main bhi Sorry!"
Sona-"No maa!...I know how much u love & care for me...and uske liye sorry mat bolo aap pls!...mujhe accha nhi lagega!"
Asha-"Accha Baba! Nhi bolti sorry bass!...ab jaa jldi se ready ho ja warna aur late ho jaegi tu!"
Sona -"haa! Ok...par jaane se pehle u've to give me a smile...chalo jaldi se smile karo...cheeese!"
Asha burst out laughing with Sona making funny face and with this they both hugged each other and Sona went to her room for getting ready to go to the hospital!
At Lifeline Hospital
After heart-warming conversation with the underprivileged children...Dev & Ishwari started distributing candies, toffees and stationery items to them which brought such cute & innocent smiles on all their faces...
Both Dev-Ishwari were very happy to see such joyous faces around them. Their genuine smiles were so good that it could melt anyone's heart and so was of Dev-Ishwari and the doctors of the children's ward
After this Ishwari to the temple area of the hospital to lighten up the diyas and seek blessing from God.
Dev became an atheist after his father's death. He lost faith in God and blamed him for all the mishappening happened with him.
So he went to roam around the hospital and was amazed by hearing a known voice coming from one of the cabins of the hospital
He opened the door of that cabin and peeped inside the room only to find his new found friend or his someone special
Dev in his husky voice -"DR.BOSE!"
Sona too looked upon to find how come he's here but since her patient was sitting there so she didn't react informally and only said a normal *Hello* and gestured him that she'll talk to him later on!
While Dev was loooking at Sona attending her patients Ishwari found him and was confused with What he was doing She in a low voice called his name "Dev...Dev beta!"
But Dev ignored it then again Ishwari called out this time a li'l bit louder *Dev*. This time Dev listened her voice and snapped back to reality!
Dev-"Haa! Maa!"
Ish-"Kya kar raha tha beta?!...kabse bula rahi hu...kaha khoya hua tha?!"
Dev to himself -"usme...!"
IshwRi -"Kya bol raha h beta?!..zor se bol!"
Dev -"Kkkuch nhi maa!...aise hi bas!"
Ishwari -"Aise hi mtlb?!...Aur andar kon h?!"
Dev-"Woh! Woh Maa...Dr.Bose hain!"
Ishwari-"Accha! Sonakshi!...chalo mil lete h usse...vse bhi uske pair ka pta krna h...thik h ki nhi woh!"
Ishwari tried to open the door but Dev held her hand and stopped her
Dev-"Maa! Woh busy hai!...uske patients h andar!"
Ishwari-"Ohh!..thik h!..kisi din aur mil lenge!...chal ghar chal ab!".
Dev tried to escape the situation
Dev-"Maa!...woh mujhe office jana h toh..."
Ishwari-"Accha! Haa!...thik h tu mujhe ghr drop karke chala jaio office!"
Dev showed sadistic pleasure and Ishu noticed all this and grinned seeing Dev's lost puppy face!
After dropping Ishwari home . Dev went to his office and texted Sona to ask her for a coffee at Barista Cafe, CP @ 7 pm and waited for her reply.
Ishu was kneading dough when she was reminded of the events happened earlier in the morning. She was smiling widely seeing the changes that were happening in her beloved Son, realising that the time has come to get him hitched
Devika came downstairs humming her fav song and noticed a smiling Ishwari. She asked her the reason for the same
Devika -"Maa!! ..aaj kya baat h...bade khush lag rahe ho!...kya hua?!"
Ishwari-"Aaj ek chamatkaar hua!"
Devika gave a confused reaction
Ishwari-"Aaj pehli baar teri baat sach ho gyi!"
Devika-"Konsi baat Maa?!"
Ishwari-"Wahi! Jo tune mujhse kahi thi Ria-Ayaan ki shaadi mein...Apne bhaiya ke baare mein...Yaad aaya?!"
Devika nodded in a *No*
Ishwari-"Arrey wahi jo tune mujhe notice krne ko kaha tha!"
Devika recollected all the moments and finally it striked her mind what actually was Ishwari talking about
Devika screamed at the top of our lungs
Devika -"Saaach?!...Kya bhai ko shaadi ho rahi hai?!...Ohho!...Mujhe toh bohat saari preparations karni hai...bht saari shopping...Maa! Chalo naa!..Mujhe matching accessories, footwear bhi lena hai ...Bht sara kaam hai ...!"
She would have gone on & on...if Ishwari won't have stopped her
Ishwari-"Arrey Bass!!...Chup kar tu...kitna bolti hai...meri bhi sunegi ki nahi?!"
Devika -"Haa!.bolo naah...aapko bhi toh shopping karni hogi...aapka bhi toh beta hai!"
Ishwari(almost frustrated)..-"Main shopping ki baat nhi kar rahi...Maine Dev se baat nhi ki h is bare mein...Aur hume toh yeh bhi nhi pata ki Sonakshi kya chahti hai...isliye..!"
Devika got a li'l upset and said "Ok...but Aap bhai se jaldi baat karo naah...Main Sona Di se baat kar lungi."
IShwari-"Chup!...tu kuch nhi karegi ...bas shaanti se Dekh apne bhai mein changes...aur phir woh ek din mujhe khud haa keh dega!"
Devika-"Maa...par..."
Ishwari gestured her to keep quiet and Devika left the kitchen with a sad face
While in office , Dev was engrossed in his work and took a break only to find a message on his phone of Dr.Bose with a *Yes* in reply for their meeting or I should say their 1st coffee date...
Dev sent an emoji to her of *wide smiling face*...and waited for the evening!
