I know all are Sona- lovers here, so am I to be frank.
What I feel sorry about in this forum is sometimes when some posters disregard Dev's love for Sona in such a light-hearted way. Unlike Sona, it appears Dev was not the quitter in their relationship.
"LOU" is a real emotion and make people behave irrationally, period. Anyone who says or claims otherwise is just lying. 😆
Love maybe painful but it also makes you feel alive and happy. There is no such thing as having a truly rational relationship when it is based on love.
Coming back to our favorite duo..
Since their separation I've wondered, what if Sona had supported Dev all those years ago on the basis of their love and trust- fully knowing he had been an a** to her parents.
What if she, against her better judgement, had believed him when he said he didn't know about the prenup or about her parents being thrown out of their home? Maybe Dev would have fixed everything, and cleaned up all the mess.
Would they have managed to work it out between the families and yet grown stronger in their relationship?
Dev was a huge jackass who made everything about his ma and family. But Sona fell for this guy, and in fact loved him more because he could handle all relationships so well and was very caring because of it. Sona was a more grounded person so we can't point out to her flaws as much. We love Sona because we all identify with her character.
I can understand Sona's anger at that point when she found out her parents had been thrown out of their house and afterwards when she went to talk to Dev in the farmhouse.
I know no woman should accept these things and lose her self-respect. But not trying to resolve the fight for 7 long years even after having their kid seems a bit much.
She has clearly worked hard to given back her parents their pride and self respect, their house and their happiness. But what about herself and the happiness she had with Dev.
I hate that Bijoy and Asha or Ishwari for that matter have done nothing substantial to open their children's eyes and heart and allow them to seek their own happiness with each other. These parents have been taken care of very well by their kids, their needs have been attended to beyond their own expectations, they have been given more love by their children than they could ever need.
But no, the parents have created the rift and are too egoistic to resolve it. Both Sona and Dev should learn from Vicky and Elena to not overdo love at the cost of your own happiness when it comes to parents.
If it werent for Soha, Sona would have nothing sadly. She would be bitter just like Dev.
And I don't think anyone can replace Dev in Sona's life, theirs was a love story that was truly special. She found her true life partner and lost him to the world.
And finally
It seems to me, being the smart one Sonakshi could have but didn't give their perfect love story another chance.
So maybe Dev is a bit justified in being angry?
