The night when Dev saw Ishwari asking Bijoy to get prenup papers signed from Sonakshi, Dev realised one thing that his marriage with Sonakshi is not going to be a cake walk and Ishwari has not accepted Sonakshi. But he knew he cannot live without Sonakshi and this was the reason he ran to meet Sonakshi in the middle of night and asked for promise that what may come, u will not leave me.

Sonakshi promised him that she wont leave him but she cannot do it alone, he has to stand by her. Dev promised he will do so.
Sonakshi from day 1 tried to fit in Dixit mad house, she just looked at the positive side of every situation.
Dev on other hand tried to make evry moment special for Sonakshi because he knew that she is not getting her due love and respect from his family members. But but but Dev babu is Dev babu, impulsive and short sighted.

Gradually because of some inevitable situations ( infertility and loan). Dev and Sonakshi both wanted their partner to understand them.
Sonakshi wanted Dev to stand for her and once take decision for them without depending on his mother. She wanted a long term solution to that whole mess.

Dev on other hand being impulsive just told Sonakshi to leave from his house at that moment and his short sightedness nature made him say that mother has left decision on me and i want to stay with u, not even once he thought how after all this deep mess, Dev, Sonakshi and Ishwari will live under one roof. Dev wanted that Sonakshi should understand and just stay with him .

So, here after 7 years both are blaming the other for failure of their relationship

Nice post.
I've mentioned it before and I'm going to say it again, love is not enough. It takes a lot more than that to make a relationship work. It takes effort. It takes courage. It needs constant support from both the sides. It needs trust. Dev lacked a lot of that. Even Sonakshi lacked a little but not as much as Dev.
Sonakshi knew Dev loved his mother immensely but she didn't know that his mother was obsessed with him. She tried very hard to mould into their world. She made efforts to be a part of their family. She even let go of her self respect, just for her love. She supported Dev throughout the Neha and Vicky fiasco, even though she was against the Dixit verdict in both the scenarios. Dev, on the other hand was a mute spectator of his wife's insults. He never supported Sonakshi against his mother's decisions. Did he make an effort to bridge the gap between his mother and his wife. No. He let them bond on false hopes. After revealing about the infertility, he was not there for Sonakshi, in fact he agreed to his mother's terms and conditions without even consulting Sonakshi. What right did he have to make decisions about Sonakshi's treatment, her body? Did he ask her if she was okay with the treatment? He just told her to give her 100% to the treatment, never once asking if she wanted to go through it or not. He kept telling her that it didn't matter to him that she can't conceive but not once did he tell her to not take the treatment if she wasn't ready. He might love her but he didn't love her enough.
So after being subjected to all these things, nobody would think of trusting Dev at that moment.
Now when they had such a bitter breakup, why would Sonakshi contact him? Just for her love? And what about Dev's love? Can she forget the bitter things he said to her about her infertility, about her profession, about being the worst mother? Would you go back to a person who thinks so low of you but claims to love you? I wouldn't.
Ishwari would never want Sonakshi back in Dev's life for obvious reasons and Bijoy and Asha would not want Dev back in Sona's life because Dev and his family have been really mean and insensitive towards them. Who wants to be associated with people who don't respect you?

So Dev's anger is not justified. His anger won't be justified even when he finds out about Soha because he dug his own grave.

If I say Sona is angry too.. that He didnt come looking for her and her family after he threw them out of their house ? why should sona be the understanding one especially it was him who threw her out of the house.. asked her to get out and didnt stop when his family was asking her to get lost... even when sona was looking at both Dev and ishwari if that is what they wanted ... he didnt say a word... then he went out drinking... wah... kya baat hai...very nice tactic to run away from problems ?

Superb post👏
There was one episode where Ishwariji had created the drama when she came to know about Devakshi's relationship . Sonakshi on the other hand wanted Dev to inform about their affair to his family.Dev here made a statement that the two most important ladies of his life failed him.The emotions on Dev's face were completely raw.

I would agree with u here .Dev's anger is justified since he always wished that his mother and Sonakshi would understand him even if the whole world is against him.His mother always wanted him to give her more importance and was always insecure due to Sonakshi's growing value in Dev's life.On the other hand, Sonakshi always wanted Dev to share His problems with her.Its always difficult for a person to handle such situations. But still Dev did his best to keep them happy.

What happened seven years b4 left dev totally shattered. He had never imagined that he would be separated from Sonakshi. The bitterness which he has for Ishwariji stems from the fact that she still has her son for herself but he has lost his love.

That's true.Somewhere, everything and everyone went wrong.Dev and Sonakshi, never in their wildest of dreams would have imagined that they would be separated. The behaviour of Devakshi towards each other is basically due to the fact that the one expected to stop the other from leaving which didn't happen.

@Sinduja, Awesome post!👏👏👏
I second every line U said, especially the below lines u mentioned -

"LOU" is a real emotion and make people behave irrationally, period. Anyone who says or claims otherwise is just lying. LOL

I know no woman should accept these things and lose her self-respect. But not trying to resolve the fight for 7 long years even after having their kid seems a bit much.

She has clearly worked hard to given back her parents their pride and self respect, their house and their happiness. But what about herself and the happiness she had with Dev.

I hate that Bijoy and Asha or Ishwari for that matter have done nothing substantial to open their children's eyes and heart and allow them to seek their own happiness with each other. These parents have been taken care of very well by their kids, their needs have been attended to beyond their own expectations, they have been given more love by their children than they could ever need.

But no, the parents have created the rift and are too egoistic to resolve it.

It seems to me, being the smart one Sonakshi could have but didn't give their perfect love story another chance."

Bang ON! Dear...I too feel it's not just Ishwari but Bijoy also equally responsible for the damage. The actual reason was both Ishwari and Bijoy are dependent on Dev and Sona..It's just that one we can see clearly the dependency(Insecurity) but the other one was hiding that feeling in the name of protective father.
We can't just blame it on one person Ishwari but every time we mention her name we need to also mention Bijoy interference too and of course their ego.
