I think he actually called her but saw the couple and came out of the car to help them and Sona picked the call.

Yes precap looks like next day morning. So just waiting to see how Sona got her phone.

But its pretty clear now that Vicki wud blame Sona for the attack too like he blamed Sona for planting fraud documents.

Earthquake will be for few sec/minutes. Why can't she go and back, do you want to expect to show that she went back to bring back the mobile and bag. I don't think it is necessary.
