Could see glimpse of ur each described characteristic of Dev in him on friday. Dev's biggest limiting factor is no family support. His entire family including his mother everyone is soo selfish that none can feel Dev's pain and suffering. Dev whenever falls down, he falls down alone noone to pik him, he makes his own notions, perceptions and understanding of the situation and gets up and moves ahead. There is noone to give him real insight into a situation. Probably Sonakshi was only person in his life who had as acquitance, a friend, a girl friend and as a wife selflessly showed Dev mirror to his right and wrong and thats y Dev was so dependent on her.

Sonakshi on other hand had solid family support and biggest support was Asha, greatest mother ever. Post breakup Sonakshi's hands were so full of responsiblities that i don think over last 7 years got time to shed a single tear, who we see is Dr. Sonakshi Bose but real Sonakshi is still standing in that room of farm house where Dev and Sonakshi broke up, confused, hurt and angry. That Sonakshi never moved out of that room. The person who moved out was a robot who was forced to look beyond, thats y Sonakshi is soo cold.

I agree to u, it was Sonakshi's fault that she din share her hurts with Dev. But i don think Sonakshi was ever hurt by maami's words, like Dev, Sonakshi always said maami aisi hi hai. Maami only affected Sonakshi was when she accused and abused her father. Probably that was the reason she wanted to payback the money to Dev because she din want to give maami a reason to again abuse and accuse her father.
The person who really affected Sonakshi was Ishwari. Remember Sonakshi had tears in her eyes when Ishwari had asked Sonakshi to decide the menu for Dev's bday. Ishwari's indiffernce and taunts always hurt sonakshi. But Sonakshi knew this well, Dev will never hear a word anything against Ishwari.
But definately Sonakshi should have told Dev about Vicky and his intentions.

I totally agree that prolonged silence of Dev and Sonakshi and brushing issues under carpet lead to their seperation.

I actually am pretty blank about the whole show now. I dont seem to understand anybody's mind and I am just soaking in the various posts by the lovely writers.

I think at the end of the day is not the story or the lead pair or any character, but the journey we share while watching a serial is what makes this whole experience special.
