What Dev is doing is chipping away Sonakshi's memory of their happier times one by one. What he told Vicky is nothing. He asked Vicky to get rid of Sonakshi? He thinks that way he will be free of her?
If that was the case, he won't have gone to the award function after finding out about Sonakshi's success.
What Dev wanted was to make Sona feel jealous and admit that she was wrong about him. But what he ended up doing is making a mockery of his own sincere emotions and actually proving her right.
He may hate Sonakshi now. But he sincerely loved Sonakshi back when he confessed his love.
If Dev ever repent for his mistakes and wants Sonakshi to give him another chance, he won't get it. Because he has tainted every single thing he did for her.
If you recall what he said to her the night she left him, that made a mockery to everything he did for her including hiding her infertility and marrying her because apparently she was enough for him.
And with this dialogue today, he made a mockery of his love when he had bared his heart open for her along with his past.
Usually when people want second chance, they remind them of the good times, the happy times.
But every happy times they spent has been tainted.
How will he erase those memories? What will he use to remind her of his love that he hasn't tainted with lies, verbal abuse and insults?
If he tells her, "I still love you like a man loves a woman." She will remember his accusations.
If he tells her, "Naam bhi khoobsurat hai aur aap bhi". She will remember when he said the same thing to another woman.
If he tells her that he missed her and never stopped loving her, she will remember him entering a hotel room with Shruti.
Dev doesn't need Vicky to throw Sonakshi out of his life. In fact, Sonakshi herself will never step foot in his life again.
