This write up until Part 4 is basically a re-run of the scenes already played out, but edited and changed to suit your line of thought.

Yes. We are trying to keep most of the tracks shown in the show consistent but change the dimension according to our tastes / preferences. Isn't that the purpose of writing a OS / SS?? It's the writer's view of how he / she wants the story to go. If we are happy with what is shown in the TV, we wouldn't have started this at all.

In short, Dev got arrested, Dev meets Suhana and has no ill-feelings, Sonakshi buys the office space and Dev has no issues, Dev -Sonakshi share office space amicably. 😊 Everything has played out differently. After 7 years, Dev-Sonakshi appear to be good pals. Communication et al. Couldn't digest that.

Did they come across as pals?? Where?? They are very far from pals. What they are - are two adults who have a shared past and now a child as a result of that. They are not spitting at each other does not mean they are best buddies. They are being civil to each other. And that civility wouldn't have been possible if they hadn't got most of the poison out of their systems in parts one and two. The more you suppress the anger and pain, the more irrational you tend to behave. (We are seeing that on TV, aren't we?? The Tom and Jerry show) Once that is out, rationality kicks in. Priorities rearrange themselves. Both needed to think. After a 7 year gap, I think that was needed. And that is what we made tried to make them do. Talk and think. Each acknowledging where the fault in the break up lay.

Felt very strange, because another script has already played out. If the Creatives are supposed to be influenced, the writers here should be ahead of them. Isn't it? Is that the purpose? Here, since Dev has already met Suhana, I don't see any custody battle. Unless Ishwari again brainwashes Dev!! And Vicky?

If we had wanted to go the custody battle way, this SS wouldn't have been extended to part 4. The hold Ishwari had on Dev no longer exists. Not after their conversation in part 3. There they have both talked as equals. This, I think, a more logical and less dramatic approach to the whole story. And for obvious reasons, the pace is fast.

Btw wanna just share my POV of your brilliant write ups in detail below. I have heard, the biggest gift for a writer is precious feedback.

So here it is.

I feel like a lot of the words that build up this arena of life in "Can we talk" is its underlying essence of warmth and a very realistic portrayal of honesty. What does not fail to astonish me is how much hope and comfort it brings to the reader, be it anyone. These are the very characters the show began with, and then damaged themselves. The strong and apt characterization that brings them so close to us so we can live with them and feel what they feel. "Can we talk" is a story that amplifies this endless sea of flaws yet by exploiting them, it expresses how people have imperfections, which makes them human and humans make mistakes, but they can be corrected. Talking it out is the way. The only way. Running away from your fears only brings you much nearer. Another very beautiful aspect of the text is how it shows and doesn't tell.

I mean how fantastic can your imagination get, Di's! Showing, in a way that you can yourself see it all is a masquerade of a binding creativity and ethereal magic the writer has penned. Anyone can 'tell' "A man is running." but 'showing' is "The man's heartbeat quickened each second, as his bare feet carried him away from the forest, escaping creatures more than willing to tear him apart."

I cannot tell you how many times I've read a fictional story where the work is all about explicitly telling the events and the sequences. But damn y'all have slayed the game of imagination and expansions of 'showing.' because a writer expresses and pours out feelings the reader will experience and live within the journey of the pages.

Thanks to both of you for such a heavenly ride so far. I seriously can't express more how badly I wanted to see this in the show. I'm so sick of cursing my vision each episode.
