what have I brought on myself????

From the very few posts that I have made in the forum, those of who have read it, know my unflinching support and love for Dev's character (though the thunderous slap case is an exception). But that's not the reason for this post.

My mom is here with me for a visit, and I introduced her to KRPKAB. Now she is addicted to the serial more than me. But that's not the issue. From the day one she is upset with Dev's character. Her rants go on in this manner "Why is he not defending his wife? How can he treat her like this"...it goes on an on.

Me: "Mom he loves her so much"

That doesn't appease her, her response is how his family will respect his wife, if he doesn't show them how important she is for him".

Me: "his situations are different, he can't do that".

Mom: "Then he shouldn't have been married".

The slap gate was the last nail on the coffin. Then I told her if you don't like the Main Lead, now don't watch. Her response is "No I want to see how the younger generation treat the elders."

ME: mom you know my husband is a gem of person.

MOM: "Yeah I know that, but what is puzzling me is HOW my daughter can like someone like Dev"

LOL what have I brought on myself? The bickering goes on... I have a full time Dev basher at Home...Dev Babu kaise mein aapko bachaoon from these bashers????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some serious real life issues...

Day before y'day my husband was watching the show along with me. At the end of the show, he was asking me why that guy is not saying or doing anything to stop them fight? Can't he just say "Stop it. Enough is enough". I was not able to say anything in reply since his Q is logical and if you see initial episodes Dev gave it back to Mami so many times in many occasions. So even i am not sure why they are showing him so helpless even though he can very well control the situation without any damage or less damage. Finally i told him Just keep your LOGIC side and watch the DRAMA.😆

My mom is making her friends watch the serial to tell them 'HOW NOT TO INTERFERE IN YOUR CHILD'S MARRIAGE' and be a good MIL 🤣 .. Teacher is Ishwari.. watch her and learn what not to do!

I guess its bcoz of Shaheer everyone accepts watever Dev does or doesn't do.

Good yaaa... your husband wants to defend...mine threatens me by saying...OK You like Dev right I will also be like him!!!!!

Bang on.. Its the case with most Indian shows..The makers know most fans get invested in the actors and their chemistry a lot more than the characters after a point..So they will want them back together come what may and the PH takes full advantage of this emotional investment.. Tomorrow if Shaheer quits/ Dev dies and they choose to show Sonakshi moving on or Erica quits/Sonakshi leaves the city forever and they show Dev repenting for the rest of his life without anyone, how many will choose to watch the show? 😆 Which is why the makers are desperate to hold on to their leads including Supriya and randomly tweak their characters whenever they are unhappy..Butcher for drama, redeem when viewers are beyond frustrated/actors express displeasure..I just wish the producers showed more responsibility and choose not to take such blatant advantage of the fan's emotional investment/lloyalty and show sensible drama and characters for once..Which of course will happen only in my dreams 😆

No yaa...for me it's never shaheer...I love Dev Dixit...I can relate to him, feel his pain, emphathise with him, laugh with him and cry with him...Ya I won't deny Shaheer is a treat for your eyes 😉😉😉 but for me it's Dev - a man with a heart of gold...I know many will be upset with me for this...but this is me

I was irritating my mom by saying...but look at the hero he is so handsome...my mom's response was hilarious...I would like to have someone who is not handsome but stand with me for my rights rather than having a Arvind Swamy as my husband ( she specifically used ARvind swamy as he is my fav)🤣🤣🤣🤣...my trick back fired at me...I got irritated...
