From the very few posts that I have made in the forum, those of who have read it, know my unflinching support and love for Dev's character (though the thunderous slap case is an exception). But that's not the reason for this post.
My mom is here with me for a visit, and I introduced her to KRPKAB. Now she is addicted to the serial more than me. But that's not the issue. From the day one she is upset with Dev's character. Her rants go on in this manner "Why is he not defending his wife? How can he treat her like this"...it goes on an on.
Me: "Mom he loves her so much"
That doesn't appease her, her response is how his family will respect his wife, if he doesn't show them how important she is for him".
Me: "his situations are different, he can't do that".
Mom: "Then he shouldn't have been married".
The slap gate was the last nail on the coffin. Then I told her if you don't like the Main Lead, now don't watch. Her response is "No I want to see how the younger generation treat the elders."
ME: mom you know my husband is a gem of person.
MOM: "Yeah I know that, but what is puzzling me is HOW my daughter can like someone like Dev"
LOL what have I brought on myself? The bickering goes on... I have a full time Dev basher at Home...Dev Babu kaise mein aapko bachaoon from these bashers????? 🤣
Welcome to the club...I was so stupid to introduce not just my mom and my sis ( Lawyer by profession ) but also my husband...initially they all liked it but post marriage all of them have stopped watching ...my husband in betwn watches that story till now add...and then starts bashing session...
My sis from the beginning never liked him...she is Shaheer fan but hates the character Dev ...She felt he doesnt love Sona ...its more of obsession than love...its just that I am blind like Sona not to understand betwn love and obsession.😃😆
My mom ...she said what is the use of him loving that girl when he cant stand by her ...when he cant protect his wife from the taunts of his family...how is he going to protect her from the world...
My husband...he talks too much to her ONLY in the bedroom...the same dialogues dont come when she needs him to protect her from his aunt ,mom and sis...the other question was...how can his mom decide when his wife should get pregnant ?? Next question to me was...
Even if its fiction ...how can you a strong headed educated professional like such spineless character Dev...he went on to say that ...todays women are much stronger than this Dev!!
And this one just made me decide that I will not discuss this serial at home..
So these days I just silently watch on my comp..🤣
