Dev and sona are the bread earners of their families before wedding and unless they sat down and had a discussion abt how they are going to spend their money going fwd - it is like did dev inform or ask sona id he can continue to spend on gkb family and dixit sisters and ishwari?? If dev didnt confirm it then sona doesnt have to.. so the flow of finances are assumed to be in status quo .
So sona can continue yo help out her family like before marriage and dev would also do the same... no questions.
Again it is only dev who has any right to question about where the money is spent or why she didnt tell him... but it would have been a lost cause .. the immediated question from sona will be if he will tell her everything and give an account of every penny he is spending on his family.. the discussion would just end there... again i beleive husband and wife should share all the info even though they dont need permission from each other.. but looks like dev doesnt care ant money so they dont have that conflict as he himself does a lot of underground activities...

Coming to giving gifts to his family or flat to ranveer - she would not have questioned if it had not backfired on dev... she would have been happy if ranveer took the flat .. but knowing how dev takes his decisions she just wanted to put another pov infront of him had he told her abt the flat gifting idea.
So indont see her as hypocrite in this case... she just wanted to help and not question why he spent money on the flat...

It's not about the money here or taking permission.Its about sharing problems.When she married him she was aware of RR and Her family being a parasite and he was aware of her taking care of family but after marriage what changed was Saurabh losing his job or she opening a new business .Its not money that would bother him but the fact that she did not share her family problems with him but expected him to involve her in his family natters .I hope I am able to convey my thoughts clearly .Whether it effects or not is never a question .She wanted to be a part of his family same way Dev can have similar expectations.

I would reserve Ranveer Neha's issue for another discussion.Only Dev could see that Neha will not be able to adjust but mataji never took his concerns seriously.Sona was never able to understand Neha's complex issues at all and her suggestions were not right either .She and mataji believed love would fix all Neha's childhood problems and it turned out to be false .They both were wrong

To answer that why dev and dixits flaws are only showcased is becoz the storyline revolves around ishwari and dev and how sona's existence in their life is gonna alter their behavior towards each other and any 3rd party. Everybody is flawed in the show but dixits are shown as dysfunctional family becoz that is the pivot of the storyline

Another example is Bijoy's interference.He has crossed his limits at every stage and has been interefering in his daughter's married life just like how Ishwari does.One hand they show Ishwari doing it out of obsession but when Bijoy does it's justified in the name of love and concern .Now why did they have to make Dev slap Bijoy ? My guess is focus will be on Dev raising his hand on his FIL but everything Bijoy did will be easily forgotten and forgiven.Nice way to gain some sympathy for Bijoy .Second seperation blame is on Dev again .

Coming to your post, Nitu logic is simple here, How to make the already existing line smaller? The best way is to draw one more bigger line next to it. 😊

all characters of the show are flawed.
ishwari I really don't want to say anything about her she is an insecure over possessive obsessed women.
about dev sona was right nobody can understand him. without maa he was all goody goody but as soon as his maa come in the picture he becomes a brainless creature. he can say sonakshi again and again that he don't care if she become mother or not but not to his mother not even once. he has a big heart but not enough courage to stand for his love against his maa.
sona, I think the strong headed sona is missing after her marriage. I want her back with a bang after this slap fiasco otherwise it will be insult to every daughter.
whatever bijoy say is correct but the way he handle situations are incorrect. in every situation he losses control on himself he can handle situation in better understanding way. sometimes he seems ne like GKB the only difference is he standing for right and GKB do all the nonsense. but in no case the slap can be justified.

Hmm a very valid point raised here. For me both the families be it Dixit or Bose are not perfect and as such there is no concept of "perfect family" at least for me. Everyone has their ups and downs. Well i guess the focus was mainly on Dixits from the starting and Boses were used as fillers, so audience were inclined more towards Dixits (negatively). How are they solving the problem, what are they doing, how they discriminated, etc were put under scanner, which never happened with Boses.

I always believe no one is good or bad/ black or white, everyone have their shades. Dixits have and so do Boses, its just like Boses shades were never shown properly and as audience also we never focused on it. Tell me how many of us have said that what Bijoy did was Saurabh was absolutely wrong. I am sure if Saurabh would have been a girl, people must have noticed it and it must have been termed as atyachar. Neha's past was shown in a way that we try to sympathise with her, but the same is not in case of with Saurav. We never knew why he didn't wanted to work or why Bijoy always taunts him. I suppose when saurav's wife will come, she may not like Bijoy's constant rant for her husband. I really dunno if it will be shown how will audience react. Will Bijoy be treated like Ishwari or the girl will be bashed.

I understand Bijoy to some extent. He is an overtly protective father but yes he crosses his line sometimes. And he desn't know how to handle situations. But there are fathers like Bijoy who demoralise their sons and there are mothers like Ishwari too (to some extent). So for me both families have their own flaws.

Coming to subject to victims, yes most of the times its Dixits troubling Boses, but in marriage track, i believe Dixits were understanding (i don't count GKB as Dixit). At Boses place Bijoy was blabbering too much about wedding and all, but ishwari kept quiet. Lehnga fiasco was also too much but still it was hushed. In these two matters i feel Boses were high Dixits. Baaki dinner issue, fish issue and all i don't wanna talk about. It was more of situational.

So, cvs have shown the other dynamics also, its just that as audience how much we vocal about it.

Dear!! In Indian weddings, d gal leaves her family and cums to stay with in-laws..So dixits are highlighted..Moreover it's a cross cultural love marriage where d gals mom tells her to become one among d UP clan...Sona from heart s always upright as her dad!! It's her pure love for dev and her mom's wish she is trying to cope up with everything...Where s CV loving sona? She s d one with infertility not dev! She s d one who has to compromise with her work life balance-not dev!! She s d one who s listening u are incomplete from every character sadly including her mom- not dev..

Bijoy s a father for whom his daughter s his respect..He and sona both are fully not happy at d treatment..Agree he speakds untimely but dev hitting bijoy s not easy to assimilate..In all cases , dev Sona both are butchered to show der marriage s not perfect as they believe...It takes years to perfect a marriage and to show dat Sona ko physicly infertile banaya and Dev ko emotionally infertile..So let's wait to see who causes seperation..

Hey yes.. I do see a lot of valid points . I'd say a lot of points we saw and noticed but since they did not matter much to the storyline they were't discussed. Let me talk about Bose family:
1. Bijoy who wants Dev to learn life skills like arranging wardrobe, washing clothes, etc from Sona, himself has not learnt or taught an important life skill of basic cooking to his kids. I know, I know many people aren't taught this now days, though I believe it's a good idea to introduce kids to kitchen and have them learn the minimalistic. Why this was not discussed is because Sona who did not know this, in fact loathed this was readily cooking in Dixit kitchen and I think by now she is a pretty good cook. So what Bijoy did teach her is to give everything her best shot and that she is doing...
2. Again Sona and Bijoy talking about Dev 's training and sharing smiles was as bad as Dev taking Mamma's help in arranging wardrobe , though he lied to Sona in her face...
3. Bijoy is very critical of Sourabh. Something I don't appreciate.
4. Asha views world in a sort of rose tinted way. She has not been subjected to what Sona is subjected to and gives her incorrect , ill-placed advices.
5. Sourabh had been very careless with career and while he can be choosy, as a middle class family's sole earning member, he needs to maintain focus on getting at least a steady income and avoid risks. But does this affect Dixits?
Even if Dev gives 5 cr to Sourabh for business, it is fine as that is not causing a dent in Dev's ATM role at Dixit house.
6. Bijoy was rude during the Elena -Vicky fiasco. Sona appologised on his behalf.
7. Bijoy is definitely rude with Ishwari and many times to Dev, but that is not even 10 % of what Sona is subjected to on a daily basis.

you can add few more... but you will realize that all of their flaws are not relevant to storyline moving forward or affecting any character...
Dixits are sufficiently criticized on forum for all the right reasons, so I wont comment.
