Sonas downfall started the day she agreed to marry dev without any introspection on his part on his behavior.

The problem with sonakshi is she is deeply in love with dev but so insecure about the relationship that she goes to any lengths to secure it even if it means bowing to ishs every wish. She knows her relationship exists only as long as ish wishes. That's what her love has reduced her to.

We are waiting for the original dr. Bose to return with a bang & hopefully the cvs don't take too long. Unfortunately I don't like the path they have taken I mean with dev slapping his fil. How can they redeem from this act I don't know. It's a very tough pill to swallow! We can only wait & watch or read the wu. Let's see,

😆 I know right, when I try to look at it, it looks like a distant dream. And it happened after Dev voiced his support for her. That was the last time I saw them working as a team.

Still, with or without Dev's support, it's my moral responsibility not to kill the person my parents have brought me unto. Such cases happen and NGOs are there to help such people out who lose their sense of respect and dignity by such emotional torture from their in-laws. Sonakshi atm needs help to regain herself, not to create another living being in such unhealthy environment.

@Bold, completely agree with his, and this is really the way forward for her. Her parents have been supportive, but haven't given her a reality check to not just simply bear but protest against the atrocities of the dixits. Asha is an understanding mother, but she has no clue of how to deal with such toxic people, because her MIL and husband are nowhere close to how Ish and Dev are. Infact Sona should be the one behaving like Bijoy is with the Dixits to resurrect herself.

She was the brightest of our batch of doctors apple of her fathers eye .she was proud, confident, pretty sassy and able doctor. Despite reluctance from her educated working professional parents she went ahead and married this trainee surgeon , who was smart, mannered, handsome but brought up with family values in contrast to hers. In 6 months of her married life ,I saw her being reduced to a state just like Sonakshi .

These small issues abt choice of clothes, earning, constant taunts, reluctance from groom family to accept her as hers was love marriage, her husband being deaf and dumb in front of his family ladies all took toll on her.She was too proud to discuss her plight with her parents as they had apposed this match. We tried to intervene ,talking to her, but all in vain. When she asked to quit working and support her husband in his job. Her husband the educated matured surgeon also agreed to her quitting is what broke her.She committed suicide when she just could not take it, a life lost in vain.

I can see Sona in similar path to ruin and is way past her breaking point. Being a serial suicide will not happen ,I sure hope hope Sonakshi takes the path I so wanted my friend to take. Divorse that excuse of a husband and live a life which she deserve and is entitled . For all the ladies still seeing Dev Dixit love and debating whether the slap was accidental ,please realise your worth. No love is worth more than your self respect and use your brain before getting married.

Extremely sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, choice of her future was hers in this case, but that can happen to arranged marriages also. Willingly you choose a bride and due to some tiff during wedding, the in-laws family keeps tauting the new bride..And yes, the husband is on mute, dumb and deaf mode..I am still hoping Sona has something cooking on her head while she is doing on this and that will be ultimate move..either to live separately or divorce or other ..but definitely not suicide.

In-laws are In-laws, they never become parents. They can only match upto 50%. Here, Sona is trying to impress 200% and failing miserably..You want to blend, enjoy like how you were in your family..but here, you can change personalities..so let them be..You live your life the way you want..
What I am Sona and I dont want a child..I am fine to adopt instead of going through infertility treatment..Not just because its painful, but because I want to provide a better future who had already landed in this world..and in trouble for no fault of the tiny tot.

Waris and stuff are utter nonsense..

Her down fall started the day she agreed to marry him. She agreed to marry him because his mom came nd begged ...she shouldn't have given in..she should have waited till he realised his mistake...nd he should have won her again..she just gave in with out thinking that if he came back is because his mom wanted her. ...not because he fought for her...I don't know when she is going to understand the truth...or is it that she has accepted that she will be treated as a second hand citizen in his house ...High time she moved away from everyone...to have some clarity of the situation. ..nd decide if it's worth living a life like this
PS: I just hope she conceive naturally during this Shimla trip ...nd realise it after the separation..
If Dev has to change then she shouldn't be around...He should be deprived of her presence only then will he understand her imp in life

I agree with most of you above that her downfall happened when she agreed to marry Dev. I can understand that at that point she must have felt "okay Ishwari doesnt like me at the minute but I can change that" she is so determined to convince Ishwari to like her that she has forgotten her own personal morals and beliefs. She would have been a lot better off with Rithvik.

Every function, every moment after marriage it has been a living hell for Sonakshi. She is convinced by Dev time and time again and the time keeps rolling over. I would have thought that before marriage Sona would realise GKB's intentions and really put her in place. No she keeps taking her taunts and doesnt utter a peep. This is not the Sona we know.

I feel she needs to learn a thing or two from her sister Elena. She has got GKB in her control completely. I know the dynamics are different between GKB-Vicky and Ishwari-Dev but the principle is that both mothers adore their son.

The sooner Sona realises that Dev's so called love and encouragement wont keep her going forever. She will eventually break completely. Dev's underlying concern and priority is to serve his mother and her outrageous demands. Sona has been trapped so much to adhere to all her demands and this is happening in the current track.

This is Sona's golden opportunity to voice what she wants! Why doesnt she tell everyone that infertility treatment isnt a walk in the park? Why doesnt she tell Ishwari to leave when they go and see the doctor?

stopped watching since long and relying on updates. All i could say is dehaati shows like udaan , naa ana is des laado and many more which r set up in rural back grounds are much more progressive than this so called "modern realistic" show. At least female leads in those shows have self respect and stand up for their own rights.
This show has become all about glorifying mom-in laws like ishwari and husbands like dev. There r people out there like ishwari and dev who think so high of themselves and on top that when prime slot shows glorify such characters then our society will never progress. Infact i feel such storylines will boost people with regressive mind sets. When a wrong is not being shown as wrong, is instead being glorified and justified again and again then it for sure gonna effect people's thinking at subconscious level and i fear many sonas and ishwari will be in the making.

These constant taunts does take a toll in once mental health most of us scream and tell them to stop, some are great at ignoring but some are just reduced a reminder of their former self. A supporting husband is needed to keep your mental health hale and hearty in this situation. Which Sona dosenot have. So sooner she leaves that house better.

A very sad story...even worse is that she couldnt discuss her pain with any one...and the one for whom she fought the world didnt even bother to support her...its her pride I guess that made her not to discuss...but every one needs a support system...sadly she lost all the support system she had...

This is when a girl needs to think IS THIS GUY WORTH GIVING AWAY WITH HER PRECIOUS LIFE !!
Trust me girls ...never ever trade your life for any one ...you are all beautiful in your own way ...so cherish the gift life given to you !!
