i know the true line is "love me for a reason and let the reason be love"...but this scene made me re-quote it...

(credit goes to the pic maker)

this scene was absolutely brilliant...keeping aside the argument about the right and wrong of dev's deed it was an extremely emotional scene portraying dev's helplessness and the fear of losing someone he literally loves more than his life...his precarious position is a gift from noone other than his other beloved woman his mom ishwari...

since this track of dev lying about pregnancy has started there has been discussion among viewers that dev is wrong and he is playing with the emotions of sona...but after this scene i hv whole new kind of perspective regarding this...dev's lifelong dream has been to see ishwari accepting sona full-heartedly and loving her even more than she loves him...since the time ishwari has learnt that sona is pregnant dev's dream has come true overnite...today she is taking care of sona in a way she has never even done to her own daughters...

but he knows all this affection is there for a reason and it takes a lot of guts to take away that reason and see in front of his eyes his dream that has come true to become shattered again...dev's only fault is that he does not hv that much guts to see this beautifully brewing relationship go back to its previous state...

with this we can also see how much dev knows ishwari inside out...dev knows ishwari's love is for a very selfish reason...sona is gving her a grandchild and in return she is gving her love...dev's reluctance to tell the truth to ishwari is born from the fact that dev is very much aware of her selfish and shrewd nature...how she will instantly change her color once the truth is out...as a viewer my heart goes out to dev...how does it feel for a child to see these dirty colors in his own mother...how does it feel for a man for hving to tell the biggest lie to his beloved wife so that he can gv time to his wicked mother to fall "truly" in love with her DIL so that later on wen truth will be out her attitude toward sona will not get affected by that...

yes dev has lied and its a huge lie...but honestly it is a herculean task to tell such a lie to two ladies whom he loves like hell but he has done that too...but then wanting to see his wife happy in this house widout the daily strain of MIL's emotional torture cannot be a sin too...if wanting to see his wife getting a mother in her MIL is selfishness then sona is rite...dev is truly a selfish man...but then love itself is a selfish emotion...we fall in love only wen that person touches our heart and brings a smile on our lips...isnt that a selfish reason for falling in love...

dev has already gone thru once of getting separated from sona and he has seen wat his life had come to...i cant blame him if he will forever want to avoid that risk at any cost...his underlying fear has always been that because of the way ishwari treats sona she may one day call for a separation (or divorce)...everything he did only because of this fear and dev is never shown as a brave enuf man to fight his nightmares...

Your opinion is the exact same way I felt. It's hard for me to not feel bad for Dev. What Dev did was bad, but from his point of view he was in a predicament. Like most people said, lies do not last long and it wa reveled. I am really confused on how this track is going to go.

Brilliant write up... Aditi...👏

Exact feels from me... I can't hate Dev, but feel sorry for him for the mess he is in now. I feel very bad for him. Sad to see him in this helpless state, who being selfless man, has always been a provider for his family and loved ones... he is always a giver, but now he is not able to give the happiness his wife deserves. He can't see her in pain...😭

I can't see DevAkshi in pain... Hope and wish Sona won't leave Dev.😭😭

I completely agree with your post . I am having full confidence that dev knows his mother so well and the true Ishwari but in spite of that he loves her. from diwali episode we see the change the dev' s behaviour I think that night he understood that his mother has started the game that is "dev sabase jada kisaka he". somewhere giving his mother more attention he is trying to protect soan and his relation. his method is wrong but this time he is more alert. If I am not mistaken now next week prenup will come in to picture and this will force dev to have a face off with his mother. With this face off I want that dev should come out off the past and his guilt. This face off will break his relation with her god mother but after some time with ishu's realization of her mistake and sona's effort a new relation in between dev, sona and Ishu can get started.
Lets hope for the best.

Hello Aditi(?) @adoremevirgo (My husband is a Virgo and I adore him to bits :) )

Can I join you (or you join me) in the I-am-not-looking-for-faults club?

Absolutely agree with you. Dev knows Ishwari so well and obviously doesn't have the heart to break this bubble he is living in where his beloved wife is getting some love from his mother. We dont think like Dev.. Only Dev can think like Dev and thus he is able to justify prolonging this lie for some time (<24 hours to be precise - he started lying from the time he got the reports home on Day 2 to the point his lie was caught on Day 3). A lie is a lie is a lie - or is it? I am sure Sonakshi will see his point of view and then will pave way for him to tell her everything.

He should also say to Ishwari - love my wife for a reason and let the reason be love

I enjoyed reading your analysis as much as I am enjoying seeing this shade of love
