For being strong a woman doesn't need to become a man. She can keep her softness, her capacity to love and forgive and still be strong. It's only when she let's these capabilities of hers be exploited that she becomes weak. Why do you think men are more susceptible to heart diseases and breakdowns. Because they don't have these so called weaknesses of women.

Sona said in yest epi.Relationship cannot be build on lies.Dev need to understand it.Dev need to understand he cannot travel in two boats at same time.He need to learn how to balance between wife n mom.The show has crossed 200+ epi.Still we cannot say.Dev is weak.He cannot confront or go against is mom.Sona should be only epitome of understanding.CV's need to explore this angle.Dev need to confront his mom.He should not escape from it n restore in lies to mend Sona N Ish relation.He need to speak the truth.Which is long due.He cannot blame god for mistakes he did.

I never want Women to become Men.Women r best the way they r.Seeing some Women's in my life.I strongly feel Women r more emotionally n mentally stronger then Men.

@Bold - Well said .I agree with U on this.But Sona she will understand everything.She will be fine.She will feel more guilty of spoiling Ish N Dev's dream.

First of all I want to thank Tia because of her I met some amazing, amazing people in this forum who I would not have ever met in my life. I will miss interacting in this thread and these discussions because more than the show the varied and unbiased views expressed here without being judged for the way you feel is wonderful.

VimalM and Pkbdas61 for bringing wonderful perspectives from a Man's POV because sometimes that gets missed in the Din

Pehchaan Kaun , PayalJ, Rose , Geena, Sandy, Rithu, Sona Naksh , Dramaqueen, Randommusings, Dlavanya and innumerous people who have really enriched my life via your discussions on this thread.

This show in my opinion has lost its way.

I do not understand how a husband however weak emotionally he is can be this cruel because in my opinion this act of Dev is cruel. Giving hope to your wife a Hope which is not simple one like sorry we are not going on the vacation we planned , or we cant buy the house we want etc . This is a HOPE, the mother of all Hopes, a dream of having a family together, a living breathing human that the two of them would have brought into this world together. All for what because he wants his mother to treat his wife well. Is his wife cattle? or a living breathing human being who he claims to Love?

Sona the Dr maybe insecure in her own ways but how can she think of having a child to win the love of her MIL? what happens to that Love which is just dependent on something you can deliver ( Pun Intended)

Easwari I do not have anything to discuss about her.

Life is not a bed of roses I for one know that, Relationships are complicated I know that too, Motherhood is beautiful another thing I can vouch for, Marriage is NOT 50/50 it is all about compromise , understanding and Most Importantly Respect and truthfulness between each other AND when you dont have that ingredient how can you ever sustain and even if you do is it Real?

hi Tia,

before you call it quits,can i suggest you to watch 27th Dec episode.

i did a happy dance after watching the episode. finally the leads speak what we have been screaming here for days. sona finally accepts that her degree, her common sense, her sensibility everything went for a toss. She accepted that she was an idiot to blindly believe Dev. and in her imagination where she tells Ishwari the truth, she accepts that she lives in a fantasy world. Sapno ki duniya mein rahene waali. This is what i have been saying , there is a difference is dreams and fantasies. Dreams propel us to achieve something in life while the fantasies make us live in a imaginary world. This is her biggest flaw that i can see in this character.

She asks Dev to seriously come out of his bubble that he has been lying as he loves her . Its not love but his own selfishness.

What shall i say about Dev, he is most flawed character, he is never a hero material with all ideal virtues, but his flaws are the ones that make him endearing. he is a hero who preaches us " how one should NOT be". its like answering - "what is darkness ?' " its the absence of light"

hmm...Dev lying is unacceptable, no two thoughts about it. But I would not agree to anyone blaming Dev alone entirely for the pregnancy Fiasco . Sona , ishwari, the dixit and the bose family do have share in this. Everybody starting partying without even confirming the news first from a authenticated source. They all started naming the chickens even before the eggs were laid.

There is power in truth. The power to break heart, but also the power to build trust and more solid relationships than lie.

In truth, the power is shared between two people. One who hears it and the other who shares it. In both cases, trust is built, respect is maintained, dignity is granted.

Lie is weak, powerless. In lies, all the temporary power belongs to the person who lies. The person who hears the lie and believes it is powerless and helpless. In this case however, while temporary delusion is maintained, trust is broken, dignity and respect are shattered.

In today's world, Truth is the most underrated thing while Lie is the most overrated thing.

People shy away from truth and resort to lies for fear of judgement, fear of rejection, fear of hurting someone else or being hurt themselves. But the fact that no lie is ever permanent, also means that the day it is revealed, they will be judged more than before, rejected without dignity, and the people they tried to save from hurt will be hurt anyway including themselves in much bigger scale than before.

However, truth might be hurtful, might make people judge you, might make them reject you, but your own conscience will not judge, reject or make you feel ashamed of your own self.

That's the difference between Truth and Lies.

As per episode, Sonakshi finds out the truth and is shattered. I ask all the people who supported Dev's lies, what hurt Sonakshi the most? The truth before she wove dreams of being mother and made plans for future or the truth after when along with her heart, her trust, her respect on her own husband, her professional and personal dignity is also shattered?

Bose family is angry and rightfully so. Their daughter is shattered. Had Sona been in Dev's place who was lying to Dev and Dev was in Sona's place, would not have mattered to Ishwari seeing her son hurt regardless of what reason Sonakshi lied about being pregnant.

Bose family reaches Ishwari mansion to tell the truth. Sona stops them. Fair enough. It's not their place to speak the truth. It should have come from Sonakshi who is also the victim of lies to another victim of lies.

Dev tried to stop her and if spoilers to be believed he is successful because Radha will find out the truth and reveal it.

If Sonakshi stays silent today, then she would be painted a worse lier than Dev because Dev is their son, so since he is not the only lier, Dixits will happily dump all his faults on Sonakshi regardless of how long she had known the truth and point fingers at her personal and professional dignity. Nothing will be able to bring her honour and dignity back from that point onwards.

As we saw that Radha accused Sona for Ishwari's disappearance in the spoiler, not Dev. That's exactly what is going to happen. I will see just what Sona did to reveal the truth before I comment farther.

i agree with you vimal. No one can trample us, its we who let them wield that power over us. A relationship does not define us, its we who define it . This whole infertility track is sounding very meaning less. If sona cannot become a mother, then Dev too cannot become the father. For him to become a father, ( whatever be the method - surrogacy, adoption or worst case re marriage or child out of wedlock ) he still needs acceptance from Sona as she is his "LEGALLY WEDDED WIFE". i am not talking of how much he loves her and all the other emotional stuff. I am only discussing the power Sona has for being his WIFE. Yet she lets everyone walk over her without even realizing where she stands. how much more dumb can a so called modern woman be?

Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment on my post. I appreciate it. I know everyone is busy because of holidays.

Now coming to my point. I know the reason people lies. But there are two kind of lies - White Lies and Just plain ugly lies.

White lies are like say when someone asks if a dress makes them look fat, you say no, even if it does because it made them happy. So in short, harmless lies that doesn't hurt the person you lied to.

Although if they are made fun of for the dress, even a simple white lie has potential to hurt.

And then there is the plain ugly lies, which will always come out and cause massive hurt to the person who was lied to. That is no longer a harmless lie.

In Geeta, Krishna says to Arjun, "If a lie is spoken for someone's own good, it's worth a 100 truth."

But here's the thing though, who are us to judge what is good for someone else?

When we lie, it's more trying to save our own self than someone else's good.

Because there is a way to judge when it is necessary to lie.

1. If I lie, will the situation go away permanently?

2. Is the lie necessary?

3. If I lie, can I solve the problem without anyone ever finding out about it?

If the answer is no to all the questions, it's NOT for someone else's own good.

Here in this situation, the problem had just compounded. The easier and decent thing would have been revealing the truth to Sonakshi and being a rock solid support for her.

But Dev resorted to lies. It's not that Sonakshi had a wound that would heal over time. Sonakshi has a medical condition.

Sonakshi is hurt and upset, agreed. But the reason for how she is treated in Dixit house is her own fault. She herself was not dying to have a baby. She was just married less than three months ago. But she wanted a baby to make Ishwari like her. Yes, she started to bond with the thought of having a baby, but as revealed by the scenes, she always talked about how she will be able to score points with her mother-in-law when the baby arrives.

Sorry, her motives for having a baby doesn't sound motherly to me.

But she missed her window because like Dev thought she can't handle the truth, she thought Ishwari can't handle the truth. And as a result, she will be tarred with the brush of a lier while Dev will come out smelling like roses because he did everything for Sonakshi, poor thing.

If Sonakshi stays with Dev after being betrayed to that extent, then she deserves all the crap Dixit family throws at her.

She never once thought how her family is going through pain because of Dev. How they might be heartbroken. She takes her family for granted and Dixits take her for granted. Well, what you shell out, you shall receive back.

So when I say, "Truth is underrated", it is. Because if our first instinct was to speak truth, we will also understand the meaning of Honour and Trust. There is no honour in lies nor trust. Unlike TV show, once someone is termed as lier, they can't get away with that tag regardless how much they try to make up for it. No one trusts them again.
