HE Could have used different way for bonding .using excuse of child that when wife can't become mother is like playing with her emotions.
Dev always knew of his mom's possessiveness even though he did not openly acknowledge it. He knew that Ishwari has not accepted Sonakshi because she could not share him with her.

He is hoping that when the truth comes out, Ishwari loves Sonakshi sufficiently so that she supports her in her time of need.sorry to say that will be such a contrive plot ,they spend some times together ,and all ishwari became goody goody .lets face it Supriyaji displeasure regarding her character made CV's changing script whole sudden Vicky ELena marriage ,now pregnancy ishwari acting saint suddenly.

He wants both Ishwari and Sonakshi open to suggestions like surrogacy or adoption when the truth comes out. He fears losing Sonakshi from his life or disappointing his mom. He is not yet in a position to handle that.

When god closes one door, he opens another. At that time, the person is left with no choice but to go through that open door no matter where that door leads. That is exactly what Dev is going to do. He will have to learn and learn fast to deal with the consequences which he has never had to do. He will start taking responsibilities for his actions and become the man that confessed his love to Sonakshi.How I wish to see that

Shaavi thanks for replying but I still do not buy the explanation when I said buy time it is buying time to convey the news the bad news in this case not blatantly Lie to buy time.

There are inumerable ways he could have bought time

Told the familly it is not definitive more tests need to be done

Or The tests have not come in again etc NOT Tell someone you love that she is pregnant carrying your child when that is nothing but a LIE a LIE which can shatter dreams, break relationships not mend them.

So I for one still believe Dev is a Coward not emotionally stunted but a COWARD

Although there is no justification to it...

What could probably be Dev's reasoning is...

if Sona has to conceive, she need help..and that cannot happen without family bonding being genuine...

as he said in the last.. he doesnt find any other way to help it out than the 2 woman fight and figure out themselves...

now they are both equally cheated... their trust is broken... but somewhere down the lane... it is Ishwari and Sona who is responsible...

am someone who cannot tolerate lies at any cost... so i truly understand you all...

somehow today am a bit partial towards Dev...

everyone was leaving him with no other option but lie...

Mom saying waise i know what the result is but still

Sisters saying we are confirmed bua na

sona while giving blood, saying this child is lucky for us.. am getting 2nd maa..

I mean what is this... allow him to say.. give him space...itni pressure for him...

we all know Dev could not even tell his mother a second time that he is still in love with Sona and that he broke up with her only for his mom's sake.

Then how could he bring this topic out in this way...

i know he is digging his own grave...coz his mom has already prepared one prenup to make it worst for him and Sona... all the more for her to leave him for good...ya go silent for life...

Then after a month, when I went for the checkup, the docs told me that the membrane which separated the babies had broken and both the babies were now in the same space. This meant an increase in risk that there was also the added possibility of cord accident between the babies. Docs again asked me if we wanted to continue my pregnancy or terminate it. They said if I wished to continue, I would have to be admitted in hospital as an in patient so that they can continuously monitor me. Even then I could not tell my mom about all this.

I chose to continue my pregnancy. At that time the docs told me that the chances are that they could probably save one of the babies. Again the prognosis was low chances. i did everything the docs asked me to do. The draining procedure was increased to twice a week. They would monitor me thrice a day. It was one of the hardest times of my life.

But I would not want it otherwise. Even though the docs gave me very little percentage of success of saving at least 1 baby, I was ready to take it. Even if it meant me going through all that procedure and treatment.

What i hoped at that time was a MIRACLE. I hoped that if I gave enough time, maybe one of the babies will have grown enough to survive. Even with medical issues. But she would be alive. That is all that mattered at that time.

This is exactly what Dev is going through. Dev was never a strong person emotionally. Ishwari never gave him that option. To grow strong emotionally. Ishwari took away all his emotions and replaced with hers in such a way that all Dev did was her bidding. At that time for Ishwari that was what was needed so that they could get out of poverty.

The only thing he has always understood is his undying belief in his mother. That she can never be wrong and whatever he does for her is less. His life goal was to keep Ishwari happy.

Dev with Sonakshi started understanding emotions. Before confessing his love to her he tells her "mujhe rang dikhayi dete hay Miss. Bose, par mehsoos nahi hote". Isn't colors associated with emotions/moods?. It was his way of saying that he does not really understand emotions.

Dev loves Sonakshi very much. He wanted his mom to be happy for him. He thought she did when he revealed his relationship with Sonakshi. But what followed broke his heart. He felt hurt that his mom was not happy with his happiness. But since for him his mom was paramount, he decided to give up his relationship with Sonakshi similar to him not playing cricket to make Ishwari happy.

But his acceptance of this separation was short lived. He could not imagine his life without Sonakshi. He wanted to be part of her life even if it meant just to get a glimpse of her from afar. That was enough for him to keep going. When he saw Sonakshi ready to marry Ritwick, it was like a nightmare come true. he could not accept that he would lose Sonakshi forever.

When after the engagement fiasco, Ishwari told him of her approval, he was not completely convinced. Still he went ahead with the proposal. For him it was like clutching the straws when he was drowning. He was ready to take what he got.

He hoped that once the marriage was done, he would have Sonakshi with him and when Ishwari saw how happy he was, she would accept his happiness as her own. But what happened was completely opposite to that. He saw his mom butting heads with Sonakshi for his attention. He who had always wanted his mom to be happy saw that she was unhappy when he was with Sonakshi. He realized how sad his mom was with his happiness when she went to temple alone during Diwali and his subsequent talks with her.

But he was still hopeful that one day Ishwari will recognize Sonakshi's goodness and accept her with whole heart. He wants that bonding because of 2 reasons --

He know how much this acceptance means to Sonakshi. How hurt she is because of her treatment by Ishwari as an outsider. He wants to give all happiness to Sonakshi who has given him life.
He also does not want to be put in the situation where he needs to make a choice. The choice he had to make when Ishwari took those pills. Hi does not ever want Ishwari to ask him to choose.

When he saw his mother loving Sonakshi, he at first could not believe his eyes. When he came to know the reason, he wished it to be true so that he can see both of them happy and this would make him happy.

Right now Dev is fishing for time. He feels that if Ishwari and Sonakshi are given this exclusive time where both of them bond, then when the truth comes out, this bond will make that acceptance easier. i.e. Both of them will be each others support and so he will not have to choose between them.

He is hoping for miracles. He wants one chance at happiness. To have both of them in his life.

He hopes that when the truth comes out, Dev, Sonakshi and Ishwari can all think of solution like surrogacy or adoption and have a happily ever after.

Saji, today I have to disagree with you. If you lie once you will have to lie a thousand times to cover up. He was the one who started it. He had his reasons then too. But his decision to hide the truth then is now going to cost them. Sona has a congenital condition. It is not even properly diagnosed forget about treatment. What if there was really a chance and if the conditions deteriorates over time making even surrogacy impossible for them. She was never given a choice and now he is making her dream when he knows it is going to crash and burn.

I can very well understand where Dev is coming from. But what he did today was very very wrong. He loves both the women in his life and he shows it by repeatedly lying and cheating them. When the truth comes out in addition to the shock and hurt Sona will also have to pay for Dev's lie.

If he was not able to confront his mother regarding her treatment of Sona then he wouldn't have answers to Ishu's questions. But when the prenup comes out in the open where Dev is absolved of all duties towards any children he has, Ishu also won't have answers when Dev asks if his mother can now be happy since they are all saved from such an outcome

Agreeing with you... Yes, Dev didn't had the courage to reveal the truth to the two most important ladies of his life, ONE who created this pregnancy illusion and was over confident about her experience and the OTHER was beaming with happiness that the family, especially her MIL has accepted her at last due to her pregnancy. How can he speak the truth and spoil their happiness...? The dixit family did a very wrong thing...they shouldn't have celebrated so much like informing the Boses, the get-together, the dinner, that dhol baaja and dancing...etc... they all were rejoicing and overly overjoyed without confirmation. 🤪

And our dear Sonakshi being a doctor didn't test herself, instead was acting like a naive housewife who was overjoyed hearing her MIL's words...

I thought CVs will show, that the reports will be positive, but along with that Doctor will say that, Sonakshi may not be able to carry on with that pregnancy due to her problem. At least, for a while that would've relieved Dev from his pain, he saying the half truth may not damage the relationship of ishwari and Sonakshi in future... But now, Dev has uttered the "safed jhoot" which will cost him very dearly.😭

CVs should've shown, in a very simple way that Sonakshi was not pregnant yet, her symptoms were just due to some food poisoning or something... All would've groaned for a while and then shut up... but why they had to show Dev lying to his family and especially to Sonakshi,when she deserves to know the truth? She would've been disappointed for a while, but later, she would've laughed it off. Later, Dev should've have confronted her alone, and talked about the reality of her condition and calm her down, support her, not let her break down, not let her lose herself in mourning... help her to be strong again. Then DevAkshi bonding would've emerged even more stronger. But now... I can see only darkness... only heartbreaks in future...😭

I am worried for both Dev and Sonakshi, but more for Dev. Sonakshi may return to her mom's house, even if Sonakshi is shattered, she will have the support of her family and will surely emerge stronger later, but if Sonakshi walks out of Dev's life, then Dev will never be normal again, he will be as good as dead😭😭

Why the makers are doing this? Are they doing this to gain TRPs??? I really Feel like killing them. Why so much torture?😡

I did not support him lying at first
But then he was totally selfish
Today only for a short while I feel he didn't know what to do
Geena there are plenty occasions that has come in all our lives where he do lie
No one here is perfect.. I said in my post he is not justifiable..
But today he wanted God to help him solve the mystery..
And according to him God failed him again
Hence in his worst understanding he did this

More than to Dev as pretty angry at CVs
What on earth are they doing?
