Ishs insecurities should be addressed in a positive way,not by venerating and glorifying her.

But gradually, step by step ishwari should understand the inconsistencies in her affections, the dysfunction it has brought into her family.

I always thought Sona would be the one who will be having the insight to see the inadequacies, but no,they are slowly turning her into a Ish bhakt(or atleast thats how it felt).

Trust me it was cringe worthy to see all that affection.

It says in Malayalam "Amrut also in large quantities is equal to poison"

That's how u feel watching Ish shower love.

If u want to see mother in laws genuine love, check out Sona's daadi. They hav all the good example in their show itself.

Also Sona and Dev as educated modern day individuals should empathize ishs way of mloving, but not crave for, justify and pine for it.

It comes across in huge distaste.

👏👏👏 You have said it all very beautifully.. 👏👏
@bold: special applaud for the bold statements..

Exactly.. In fact Sona should be disgusted with the way Ishu is behaving with her after knowing her pregnancy.. But no.. Sona is behaving as if she has been deprived of a mother's love all her life

I'm not even thinking beyond the current episode and what could happen tomorrow.. Whatever happening now isn't what should happen in any house.. I feel sad to know that there are Sonas out there taking in all this kind of treatment from their in-laws in the name of love!!

With the advent of a new child ishs motherly instincts is reborn, she has found a new purpose, thats the reason she is wilfully giving Dev away to Sona.

But Im disturbed with the fact that Ishs love for Sons is not because of her goodness, but the newborn in her womb. Thats regressive thought.

What if tommorow SOna completes her term, delivers a baby, the "claim game" will still start

Then they will have a new object Devakshis first born.

If u wanna see a selfless and perfect mother, watch Ishita from YHM.

She showers care and affection to any kid around her.

Thats the mark of a true mother.

If u want to see mother in laws genuine love, check out Sona's daadi. They hav all the good example in their show itself.

The character of Ishwari etched by the Creatives has its flaws. That's why its close to reality as there are lacs of women out there who are moulded this way. The regressive behaviour has to turn positive to hav its impact and lesson for the audience! There was no doubt that Ishwari is excited about the baby because it would be Dev's child. She is also expecting a son unlike Sona's mother who wants a daughter! Ishwari also felt that her son Dev has done all this only for her. She cannot believe otherwise. "Koodudal aayaal amrutavum visham." That's her character and this has to change for the better. How would that happen is what makes this soap an interesting watch. The character is also played by Supriya Pilgaonkar who is such an amazing actress. She makes the character so true to life...

In a country where female infanticide is at its worst, such soaps which show these inadequacies in individuals and how they change for the better, is extremely important. I am waiting for that.

If it does that,I would be the first one to give them standing ovation. But given the history, dont think they are that brave.

They might just glorify ishs insecurities.

I dont have any issues with ishwaris character.

I have issues with the way a smart and educated doctor like Sona is reacting to Ishs character.Right now shes behaving clueless and dumb.

I was also a big fan of this soap.

But lately they have taken the drama route.

Thanks for commenting. Rekha, you don't have to agree with me. That's fine. Ishwari's happiness is not fake. Her concern and care for Sonakshi is fake. She doesn't give a damn about Sonakshi. Sona had always been a means to an end for her. I saw her love when she was trying to convince Sonakshi to give Dev another chance to restore her Goddess status in Dev's eyes. I also saw how she turned 180 degree when the wedding was over. There was a mini flashback which Dev was remembering yesterday too if you want to refresh your memory.

I didn't see her concern for Sonakshi when she burned her foot in Diwali. No. Her concern at that time was that why Dev didn't go to temple with her. So when I am saying that Ishwari's concern for Sonakshi seemed fake to me, there is valid reason for that.

Had Ishwari changed before the news of the baby, I'd have believed otherwise. But she didn't. And that's precisely why I have no reason to believe that the behaviour won't turn again if there is no baby.

Yesterday both Dev and Sona acknowledged that Ishwari's change of behaviour was solely for the baby and Dev even prayed for the baby so that her behaviour remains unchanged.

I don't know about you. But if someone who always treated me like an outsider, suddenly starts to treat as their best friend the moment I win the lottery or get pregnant, it's fair to assume that if the baby or the money is taken out of the equation, they won't take long to go back to the same behaviour. And that is the very definition of fake.

If CVs show that Ishwari's current behaviour remain unchanged when the infertility information comes out, then I will believe that she truly starting to care for Sonakshi. But right now, for her, Sonakshi is again a means to an end.

I personally find it degrading when I see a woman's worth is reduced to her capability of carrying baby when her love, care, patience, generosity etc. all positive traits make no difference to how she is respected, loved and appreciated. Where is the positivity in there I'd like to know. There are many incredible women out there who can't become biological parents, but they are still better than insulting woman who can become parents like Ishwari or Dadi Bua or Radha.

I write what I see. And like Nikki said yesterday, she learned that there are advantages of being pregnant. What a lesson to learn for an unmarried woman. If no one loves or appreciates you, then get pregnant for instant approval. If that's what you call positivite ideas, I am better off being negative.

I have been reading the views here and just would like to pose these questions

How is Sona having or not having a baby going to solve Easwari's insecurities? The way I see it either way the relationship dynamics is doomed

If Sona comes to know she cannot have a baby, Easwari is upset and then what? Dev will understand she is not God but where does that leave Sona ? And where does that leave the relationship between Dev and Easwari? can it ever be mended later ?

If Sona has a baby , Easwari happy but if Sona comes to know that Easwari is happy only because Sona had a baby and Dev got his miracle then what? Where does that leave Sona and her relationship with Easwari and Dev? Will it ever be the same?

If Sona comes to know she cannot have a baby and Easwari is supportive and understanding then I can kind of see a way of salvaging the dynamics but will the creatives take this route is a million dollar question

Precisely. This idea is as absurd as husband and wife deciding to fix their marriage by having a baby. W*F? An innocent baby who is not even born yet has already been burdened of having to fix what is wrong before he even came into this world. Seriously? People should fix what is wrong before bringing another person into the equation. Same is applicable for Dev and Ishwari's equation which I said before. He should have taken care of his mother's insecurities before bringing in Sonakshi the same way Sonakshi and Ishwari should fix their equation before bringing an innocent baby in the middle.

What kind of people use their own child to gain acceptance/approval? That is something mind-boggling for me is that CVs passing it off as parental love. Well, then the father who decrees that his son will have to be engineer whether he wants to be or not is also a fine example of parental love.

May be the baby does not want the responsibility of fixing Sonakshi's relationship with her in-laws before being born. What if after the baby being born Ishwari interferes in everything to do with the baby and then the competition starts in her mind for the baby? What then? Is that a healthy atmosphere to raise a child?

Seriously Sabita, sometimes I don't understand CV's mentality and may be I never will.

👏 @bold: THIS!!👏
It's like the days when people say if you are beautiful then all flaws are forgotten.. Now with makeup all flaws can be covered up.. 😆 And with medical advancement even biological defects too can be fixed to greater extent.. And why people try hard and be nice to each other? Why did Sona even struggle being patient, loving, caring, etc. etc.. Then the DIL can be the rude one and be arrogant about her beauty to win the hearts with her god gifted beauty.. Or become pregnant the moment she stepped in the marital life using the god gifted reproductive organ to get a permanent space in the people's hearts.. Why work on all moral science classes.. And why be nice and good which can be only achieved through hardwork using god gifted life...
