I sometimes can't even wrap my head around CVs' plot line.
I mean really?
Okay, let's see.
As per spoiler, Sonakshi gets pukey and feels like eating sour stuff.
Dr. Ishwari (M.B.B.S. as in Main Badi Bimbo Saas) concludes she is pregnant and convinces Sona of the same and announces to the world except Dev because he is going to get a surprise (Boy, is he gonna get the surprise of his life)...
Now, last time I checked Sonakshi is a doctor. Since from the time she got pukey to the time Ishwari was skyping the Bose and their clothes didn't change, I'd have to assume that based on the timeline, none of them deemed it necessary to get the confirmation tested by a, you know, people who waste their time in lab so that we can get RELIABLE reports.
In fact, even if Sonakshi has conceived, even then they could not wait to get her tested before announcing to the world? Phut the Whack?
Is Sonakshi even a doctor? Why didn't she asked Ishwari to wait until confirmation? No doctor ever concludes anything until they get you tested fifty thousand times.
But madam is so happy to see dear mummy-in-law is super loving that she didn't even think that there are many things that can cause nausea, tummy upset, gastric attack, acid attack etc. to name just a few. (Doctors in the forum can correct me if I am wrong).
That brings me to the next part, Dev. He is going to get the shock of his life followed by him having to give the same shock to Sonakshi and his and her family which will be another level of mess. Woh kya kehte hain hindi mein, Gayi Bhains Paani Mein.
You know, life is not that complicated. Man loves woman, woman can't become mother, man doesn't care because he loves woman and marries woman anyway. That much is simple.
But man lies to woman and family, the woman thinks she is pregnant (or somehow got pregnant, but CVs will show miscarriage if that's the case, mark my words. Sonakshi ke kapde ke liye paisa nehin hain, child artist ka paisa kahan se aayega?), man will be forced to admit somehow the truth of infertility hurting every single person in his life whom he never wants to hurt or has to juggle the lie along with many hidden secrets alone... That is heck of a complication.
Honestly, us humans? It's the easiest to speak the truth, but we complicate everything with lies and then more lies to hide the first lies until we are confused and can't remember what lies we told for what.
There were so easy ways it could have been handled. Like I don't know, telling the truth and being rock-solid support when the woman he loves struggle to come to terms with it. But in that case, she'd not have her hope, heart and trust broken like this.
It's like watching a train wreck. I can see it coming and going to hit it's target. But as is human nature, you can't look away.
