Jyoti, I don't think people have compared Dev's goodness with Vicky. Dev is good a 100 times better and all will agree on that, but like 1 bad thing in many goodness can't remain hidden, likewise 1 good thing in many bad things also shouldn't be hidden. Vicky is bad, plain bad but he showed one good thing which Dev fails to do even today, keep his wife's respect in front of his family members. If you say Dev did take stand for Sona, then that wasn't a strong stand or else Ishwari and GKB (elders) or Neha and Vicky (younger) ones won't be insulting Sona everyday left, right and center in front of Dev. No its not there habit, because they dare won't do that to Elena, and the reason is Vicky made sure of that. A stand for respect must be strong and not weak for respect comes above love. You may not love me but If you respect me, all is good. Yes, this does not cover all the bad things Vicky had or is doing but you can always learn something good from everybody even from the worst, and perhaps this is what Dev can learn from Vicky. 😊
