When I was newly married I used to find this "khush khabri" question annoying and mildly invasive (isn't it like asking when are you and your husband planning to have unprotected sex in the middle of your monthly cycle?)
Then my mil and bua said to me that this is the circle of life. When a new baby arrives the mil focuses on her more and less on her own son. It's convoluted but kind of makes sense.

I wish GKB's dialogues were to sonakshi and not to Ishwari

In this show, Ishwari is hoping for the opposite. She wants sona to focus on the child so that she gets Dev for herself. Sick!!

You know Malvika, Ishwari wasnt thinking initially. GKB put that idea in her head. Her concern simply was when will I see Dev 's kids. The people around Ishwari dont make it any easier
My MIL also told me something else.. she said that you really enjoy your grandkids more than your won kids because in older age you are more relaxed

This is the reality of our society. No matter how educated the family (includes girl and boy's side) is and no matter how broad minded they sound ,the "good news" questions are never ending .

Only difference is some family start this after few months of marriage and some after few years of marriage.

These questions are mostly directed towards the girl .No matter how much you discourage, there are thick skinned people who can't stop asking .

So true! The entire Dixit clan feeds into her insanity. Its damn annoying.

Your MIL is right. We all remember how our grandparents used to pamper us like crazy. It's one of the sweetest bonds. We get to see that on the show between Sona and dadi also. But these stupid Dixits will ruin this pure bond also😡

Well actually..its true when someone asks about good news is like they asking when r u gonna have sex LOL

But true its reality..and with someone having orthodox thinking like Ish and mami instigating her its meant to come up so soon though I genuinely dont want Dev Sona to have kids so soon if not 5 then atleast after 2-3 years..their is no need to hurry up..but couples are some way or the other are pressurized for babies which is sad

And in current situation..I dont think Ish wants kids so that Sonakshi gets distracted though the idea was inserted in her head by mami for this purpose but for some reason Ishwari's reason is not that.. this is my thinking :)

I think Dev se attention hat jana is meant to be Sona's attention will shift from Dev to kids and not meant for Ish to shift her attention from Dev to kids. She knows Ish and her insecurities and GKB completely plays ISH.

You are right. Those questions are never ending. Before marriage, "When will you get married", after marriage, "When will you have a baby". After baby, "When will you have another one". After required demand for babies are fulfilled, "When will you get your children married."
I honestly don't get it. Whose life is it anyway?

That's true. There are nosy parkers all around us. Not just in homes but work and out and about too

You know today after ages, I saw a glimpse of the mild mannered sweet Ishwari of preconfession days. She couldn't say anything to her son. Just kept saying haan haan to everything mama and mami said. Except for mami's hidden agenda (which is unclear to me... Dev having a kid will distract him from moneymaking I would have thought mami would think. ) I found 3 of them quite sweet today. Dev also acted so cute - bachchon se koi aise baat karta hai... Has Ishwari turned a corner after openly talking about her insecurities in the birthday party?
