Today is my son's birthday and for the first time I don't see him as a little boy. I know you all see him as Mr. Dev Dixit, the sucessful businessman but for a mother he is always her baby. It is hard for us not to coddle over our children.
Beta, what I want to tell you is that I loved the sweet boy you always were. More than that I am proud of the man you are becoming. This last year you have displayed growth not only in your work but in the family too. You opened your heart to someone new. You were bold enough to follow your heart. Yet you were kind enough to wait for me to accept these new changes in your life. And you brought into our home a smart, sensible and loving girl as your wife.
Sona, I can't credit him for the responsible man that is sitting here today. You are the reason he is trying new things and his life is more responsible. I know, I tend to spoil him more than a grown man should be but you are trying to mould him into the man he is capable of being. And I admire you for that. More importantly, I'm glad that he has another reason to smile when he comes home, another reason to laugh. And I sincerely hope that you both continue to bring the best out of each other.
