Dharm shankat my @$$.. Just asking his mommy dearest to wait for 5 mins versus the lifetime memory of the pain you cause to your wife for the first bday after your marriage is not even a shankat. Dev acted like a Moron and using such wise 'shaastra' words for this cheap act is in fact a tauheen of the use. But Mamaji has always been referencing wrong words to a dumbhead person like Dev.

I dont know what education he has received from the enormous struggle of Ishwari depriving everyone else of everything, but personally speaking I have never seen more an uneducated gawaar like Dev in my life. A man who cannot protect the honor of his wife is not a man enough 👎🏼 Bang on post Tia though ! 😛

Thanks. I was predicting this scenario ever since I saw that the Dev who dragged Sona into the family portrait, separated her from the same family after marriage.

That was the beginning of taking his wife for granted.

But at that time I was told that I am complaining on little stuff which doesn't matter. But I didn't look at little things, I looked at the pattern of behaviour.

If someone treats you like crap and gets away with it, why won't he repeat that again? Where's his motivation to treat you as his equal and give you respect as your due?

That's why I said Sona should wait before getting married and I was bashed for that. People said I complaint too much.

Now you see what happens when a woman let's anyone treat herself less than what she deserves and keeps forgiving over and over.

But what's the use? Tomorrow Dev will get a kiss as a reward for not even bothering to wait for his wife.

With that kind of incentive, next year may be he can book a family vacation somewhere and leave his wife behind so that when they all come back, his wife will arrange a romantic date for treating her like shit.

I really needed your rant after that episode

Man!! That was horrible
The least he could have done is wait for sona's return but even that didn't occur to his pea sized brain.
I would have packed my bags and left then and there even if it seems immature...I am that angry
Where did all d show magic go???
So It's true... magic's gone poof after marriage..M kiddding

Exactly. You know the saying why buy the cow if milk is free? If you value yourself less, then don't expect anyone to value you more.

I read a quote which was absolutely true.

"Ladies, if you want to be treated as your true worth, take yourselves off clearance rack and put yourselves under valuables."
Apt and awesome quote, right?I was the one who shared it yesterday on Gemini's post😉

Dev is literate but not educated.. at times i wonder how he built his business with no eq at all..
He is a perfect example of how not to raise a male child..

Exactly. That's what I say to all unmarried women. Shakal pe na jao, apni akal lagao.

The man who can dump you and fire you without even thinking about your feelings at his mother's whim until his mother gives green flag and yet doesn't let you be happy with someone else, he will hardly keep his promise after you are a done deal.

Women need to value themselves first if they want to be valued by someone else.

I have a 18months old daughter n I've learnt a lot from my own personal experience n from this show as well and m never going to teach her that she should compromise with her self respect and just for the sake of relationships coz no relation is more important than ur own dignity. For me marriage should b a bond of love not suffocation.
Sonakshi is turning out to b an emotional fool n irony is that, She is not even realizing it.
The gyan which her mother gave according to me was crap...I know she doesn't want to provoke her but...
Dev has gone beyond shamelessness,I mean he is not a teenager n wanted to meet his forbidden GF...she is ur lawfully wedded wife...
Sona u better b vocal girl otherwise I can clearly see the hardship ahead.

Today i looked at the first 10 mins of this show and turned it off. Dont think i will be viewing it anymore. This show has become uncomfortably disgusting for me (does that even make sense?). Seriously who even does that to their wife who they confess to love so much. why would a husband ignore a phone call from his wife because his mother is standing in front of him. Did he even know if she was ok or in some sort of troublesome situation? Sorry that was up to where i looked at and didnt have the stomach to look at the rest of it, so i cant comment on anything else. This was enough for me to cringe. This mother/son relationship is bordering on SICK!

Good for you. Your daughter is a very lucky girl. I am not blaming Asha today because she is giving her suggestion based on one incident. Sona has never mentioned being let down over and over again to her mother. However, Sona knows how many times she had been disappointed and hurt by Dixit family. So she should have taken Asha's advice with a grain of salt and do what is best for her.

She took Asha's advice blindly once before and married Dev. Asha didn't know how Dixits were treating her at her workplace, how they were treating her like a maid and how Ishwari treated her after finding out about Dev and her. So again, that advice was skewed. She wanted her daughter married. Her daughter didn't want to marry anyone but Dev. So she, based on the limited exposure to either Dixit family or Dev, advocated him to Sona. And we all see the result.

Bijoy was the only one who understood the practical reason why Dev and Sona are incompatible. Not only because they come from different background but also how they view life and relationships. Sona embraces every relationship as equal and Dev has hierarchy in relationships where his family ALWAYS comes first whether the issue is urgent or superficial.

But as you know, love is blind, deaf and dumb.

Love is a function of heart, but marriage is a function of brain.

The way Dev was behaving as if his mistress is waiting for him to have secret rendezvous and called him in front of his wife. I have not seen him that guilty when he fell down drunk at Sona's engagement with another man.
