How true.. but can you imagine Anil Ambani or Ratan Tata running to mamma for their wallet

Originally posted by: Pehchaan.Kaun

Well I was going through some of the posts from members who still find Dev's not willing to manage his own clothes is not a big deal due to time management etc.

Well that really rang a bell in my head about Sona. Sona as we know always believed in Fairy Tales and wanted someone romantic etc as life partner. Why exactly did she fall for Dev in that case ? Yes, before marriage his cheesy lines, fake promises etc sounded damn romantic indeed like 'a man loves a woman', 'I want you for myself' etc etc. 😛 But what about having a foresight ?

As the story goes, Dev is a BIGGIE in the business world, so how did Sona assume that Dev can fulfill her level of lifestyle/thoughts after marriage for the rest of their lives ?

Can we really imagine Anil Ambani or Ratan Tata arranging their wardrobes ? 🤔
Can we really imagine the big business tycoons spending ample amount of time with their wives for romance ?
Can we really imagine the priorities of Ambani or Narayanmurthy's to match with the dreams of a middle-class fairy-tale believer woman ? 😕
Can we imagine for a big businessman anything or anyone would come before their business/money at all ? Be it for family reason or not. Dev has family reason but ultimately Money talks in Dixit house.

The enterpreneurs who made it big like Murthy's or G.D.Birla or J.R.T really had that much time to roam around doing vellagiri leading the dreams of middle-class lives ? By Vellagiri I meant these chores which are very insignificant things to them not to us 😆

Well for me what matters most is to have a husband for life, not an earning machine who has no time for me. Like said in Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara, a guy who has only 3 weeks of holiday in whole year is a slave 😛😆. As the character of Sonakshi was portrayed, she too seemed to have more or less similar type of fairy tales and ideas. Romanticism and falling for workaholics don't go hand in hand 😆 Also one more thing, the wives of such bigshots are always party-bees and big time socialites. Did Sona see herself fitting there as well?

Just a thought triggered from some posts that some people really need not have time to do their own chores and yes, it can happen with the above category people I think. What do you think ?

Please ignore this random useless topic this is just for open fun and discussion 😆 Good night for now and good day to all the people from the other half of the world 😃

Let me introduce an unique concept - Privacy.

A husband and wife shares their bedroom. Both of them have equal rights in there. It is an intimate and private space. Not a public place.

You won't walk into an office without knocking on the door and open their drawer where they keep private and confidential files.

You won't walk into a washroom while it is being used by someone.

You don't walk into someone's bedroom without knocking and asking for permission while it is in use.

It's called respect for someone's personal space because once a person gets married, it doesn't belong to only them. It belongs to BOTH of them.

Their spouse have complete right to their wardrobe where she may have kept her important files and private and intimate things which people keep in their bedroom not in neighbour's house. And while the guy might be perfectly comfortable with his mother handling his undergarments, but his wife may find that intrusive to her private space.

Would the mother like it if Sona walks in and starts handling her wardrobe? No. She won't.

Would Neha like it, if Sona walks in and opens her wardrobe? No she won't either.

Would Vicky like it, if Sona walks in and opens his wardrobe? Nope.

Then why would Sona have to put up with it?

What Ratan Tata or Birla does at their home, I don't know.

But I know this much asking someone to put away their own already laundered, folded and ironed clothes which takes 5 minutes or less is not too much to ask considering laundry doesn't happen every day whether they are Tata, Birla, a 10 year old kid. The only people who can't do even that if they are physically or mentally handicapped and don't have use of their head nor their hands..

Fellow members... Dev & Sonakshi are fictional characters...

Dev is a techno success... He seems to have just never had to leave home. His habits are pretty normal and endearing in many ways and of course unreasonable and almost mafia like in others. I don't know how Forbes top 500 man live. I know he is a high net worth individual who has been brought up with a strong sense of duty.

Sonakshi is your girl next door.

The catch is, at 28, Dev was well on his way to a heart attack at 45 thanks to his carb rich fatigued workout regime, 18-hour work days and no one who he could share his thoughts with. Had Natasha not happened, Sona would have been married to a Mr dependable doctor/banker who might have given her the fairy tale love story she yearned for. Luckily for devakshi fans, Natasha happened... because Sonakshi is so sensible she wasn't even going to confess her love to Dev because she knew it's so impractical in many ways.

What is interesting is, they are a very regular couple... They are making the same mistakes so many new couples make.

He has the time to fold his clothes. He does... He will do it (for Sonakshi like he said). The point is, he doesn't want to do it and Sonakshi went on to say "I am that type of a wife". She is trying to make a point here... I sound like a broken record... She is hurting her marriage by pushing him too much

When Ishwai sends ripples in Dev's calm-on-the-surface life, Sonakshi is there for him. If sonakshi isn't there, this man doesn't know what to do with the pain. Money, status and middle-classed-ness has nothing to do with this.

I am intrigued about tonight. Will he go and sleep in his mother's room? Will she read between the lines and try and mend a few things around while still making her point? Will Ishwari break her promise and tidy up his clothes? Will they make a step towards finding the right balance? Will Ishwari help Devakshi find that balance this time?

I have a song playing in my head for Sonakshi. "sau aasmano ko, aur do jahano ko"

I too feel that Sona who believes in fairy tales,is trying to make her and Dev's room, dreamy and romantic. This fairy tale princess, also believes in being independent and so wants Dev too to be independent.Being a business tycoon doesn't mean that that you shouldn't manage your cupboard yourself.I think ,the track is running on the rt.course; Dev's independency in managing his chores at home will wean him away from his obsessive mother.

While we are on the topic of business tycoons, when was the last time you saw Dev opening his car door for his mother or Sonakshi...

Now google and check how richest man in India treats his wife when they both are travelling together in same car... Almost always, he has opened door for her to get in and get out...
