Dev could assure Ishwari without bringing in Asha. Why does everyone has to be in competition with her? She needs to be assured that Dev loves her more than his sisters, more than his wife, more than his in-laws. Why?

Can't we love two different person differently?

Even people with two wives or husbands (one dead and then remarried) would tell you that they loved their dead spouse but now they love their current one. The love is different due to different phase of life, but that doesn't trivialise past relationships.

But Ishwari needs to be the Goddess and Dev the slave. Disgusting!!!

the writers have truly disappointed today. dev is character ka satyanaash kar di .koi growth hi nahi hai. it would have been sensible if dev said calling asha as maa doesnt mean he is sharing it with ishwari. she is much above all these things. but nope he still remains a hard core idiot. he decides not to call asha as MAA... disgusted

The point is not what triggered Ishwari's craziness. The point is how Dev dealt with it. He disrespected a woman who extended her love to him without asking anything else in return to keep his mother's unreasonable demand satisfied.

He failed as a husband long back when he kept watching Sona being insulted, he failed as brother when he aided in Neha's divorce because of his mother, today he also failed as a son-in-law. And the worst thing is that he made his mother a failure by being an example of her failed parenting.

What made Dev think calling sona's mother 'ma' is what Ishwari is sulking about? I think it was feeding with own hands and then sona stupidly bringing it up on the dining table made it worse

She has given you more love without asking anything in return than your own mother. He doesn't deserve anyone but Ishwari. They deserve each other.

Right.
About Sona's reaction to this, i think she will be kept unknown from this. In tomorrow' episode Ishwari may ask or give permission to Dev to call Asha as maa and Dev may do so, so this may go unnoticed by Sona. Letz see ho it unfolds.

Exactly... this is the damage mamaji's incomplete discussions do to Dev's thought process. He rushes into damage control and makes a total mess of things.

You know Dev needed a Keep. Someone who would live in his bachelor pad and where he would go and romance when he likes.

Sona isn't his wife at all. You see glimpses here and there but overall I don't think Dev was ready for a wife. And a lot of mamas boys face this. And I agree this is a show so there is some drama involved. But some bits are unacceptable.

We all have seen son-in-laws are behaving like a member of their in-laws family. There are also son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws who become a cherished member of their in-laws family. But I was saying for a long time that Dev doesn't deserve to get married for the same reason he doesn't have friends.

A friend calls out on your bull and teases the crap out of you if you behave like an abnormal person. Dev only had one friend, Sona who could tell the truth. But ever since he ended up marrying her, her respect fell so low that she was no longer worthy of being treated as equal anymore. Because a friend is independent person and can leave you anytime and a wife is a possession who can't escape or so Dev's attitude says.

He is attached like a fungus on wet wall with his mother. There's no room to breathe between them, let alone place for another person.

He should have remained a bachelor. But he decided to get married to Sona and ruin her life in the process.

But Sona ruined her own life partially by falling for Ishwari's fake drama while all this time she was just using her to get back her Goddess status in Dev's eyes.

Hi, I agree, this is very shocking and disturbing, I have a big family and have seen son-in-laws calling their mothers As "Maa" what are these female writers trying to show? Woman should suffer in silence and dance to their Husband and in-laws tunes, I know these things happen in real life but they should show that this behavior is wrong as this causes discords in marital relations, what kind is independent girl listens against her parents and is silent, she has to take permission to buy, to work and to even go to her own Parents house? No self-respect of a woman is shown, this show is giving very bad teaching to mother-in-laws who relate to Ishwari that their behavior towards their bahu is correct and where a bahu is expected to do everything a son-in-law should not treat his in-laws nicely or not allowed to call them as "Mummy" or "Daddy", looks like the writers are evil Saas who want to make sure these qualities of a Mother-in- law are justified, Shame on the writers.

I was thinking of that. But I doubt. I have a feeling Dev will just as a matter of fact tell this to Sona and asha in a room full of people one day and expect them to get on with it

Thought I wouldn't get agitated over a freaking daily soap and I even refrained from giving opinions after every episode trying to make sense of it all. But today Dev proved that he is truly "kutte ka bacha" and one can never straighten his tail. And "kutte ki maa" Eeshwari is such a manipulative witch. That mamaji, whenever he opens his mouth, he makes everything worse. He is a dumbass acting like a wise guy. All the girls in the house should leave the house so that Dev Eeshwari and mamaji can happily romance each other without any disturbance. May be mamaji can even plan a nice honeymoon for his kachori and his pyara bhanja.

Agreed. Which is why I am wondering why is he even assuming it's the way he addresses his mother in law that has caused an issue

He needs to understand the problem (and make ishwari spell it out) before solving it
