DEV's POV

Everybody was seated at the dining table when I saw sona glaring at me!! I knew I was the one she was glaring at... she stepped close to me but only to serve mamaji and not me... "bhaiya aaj dev aur sona dono humare sath beth ke khana kha rahe hai babht aacha lag raha hai"maa said and I smiled looking at my sunshine moving around the table!! "bhaiya aaj agar bhabhi bhi..." I looked up at ma but she left the sentence hanging...

"aapko mamiji ko ghar le aana chahiye mamaji.. "suddenly sona completed the words that were left hanging!!

"han bhaiya, kya socha aapne??" ma asked..

getting up he said "mai kal subha ja raha hoon radha ko lene.."and everybody on the table started smiling and riya and nikki, ran up to him and gave him a hug!! Smiling I turned to face sona who just turned the other way round!!

I reached my room, it was dark and only the fairy lights that adorned the swing were switched on!! I flipped around to turn the lights on, and found a sulking sonakshi sitting on the stairs.. I moved towards her when my eyes fell on what she was wearing and my breath hitched in my throat... She stood up she was wearing a silk satin night wear, the shade was the color of wine!! it was long and fit her slender frame perfectly.. the back was only two strands that criss-crossed each other and the rest was bare... she was wearing a sheer cover over it, but that failed to hide the caramel skin which was beyond mesmerizing for any living man!! As she saw me advance, she glared at me and before I could hold her, she slipped from my hold and started moving towards the bed... I tried pulling her by her hand but she was smarted than that and evaded me with grace!! "sona yeh kya hai?" I called out behind her!!

"yeh toh aapko yeh sab bolne se pehle sochna chahiye tha na... sabke samne bhi aapko aisa dikhana hota hai na, ki mai toh aap pe itne zulm karti hoon, ki aapko toh bolne ka koi haq hi nahi hai.. ki aap toh bechare ho... toh bhugto phir!!" she huffed and sat on the bed...

I went and sat on the floor right infront of her I extended my hands and tried palcing it on her face but she just pushed them away... "aacha theek hai maine galti ki toh tum mujhe saza do.. tum jo bologi mai who karunga I promise!!"

she looked up and an evil smile formed her lips and I knew I was gonna regret saying that.. "theek hai aap 24 hrs tak mujhe touch nahi kr sakte..."

"kya" I said getting up "nahi this is not fair" I pulled her towards myself, she just pushed me away and went to the other side of the bed..

"han maine wahi kaha jo apne suna... Aap mujhe touch nahi krenge varna mai 24 dino ke liye mayike chali jaungi!!" she said folding her hands in a gesture that reminded me of a stubborn child!!

"you cant do this, pehle tumne aise kadpe pehne or phir yeh bol dia!! This is not fair!!" I whined

"mr dixit kissi mahan insaan ne mujhse kaha tha ki everthings fair in love and war... Toh ohir yeh toh true love hai na... " she smirked...

"fine" I said and she dimmed the light getting up she moved really close to me... her scent her touch everything was overwhelming, when she picked up the towel kept next to me and left and I stood there shaking my head... she would pay for this!!

I woke up next morning after a disturbed sleep... And saw her sleeping peacefully and just as I was going to touch her, the memories of our last encounter came flashing back... And I just rushed to change before she could find a way to move back to Bose house!! We were sitting on the dining table and she deliberately sat next to me wearing a baby pink anarkali and looking like a delicate angel, I kept throwing glances at her... and she kept ignoring me, when mamaji stood up and said "mai ishwari ke sath radha ko lene ja raha hoon, hum soch rahe hai aaj raat wahin ruk jae..."

I looked at him and in a clear voice said "ji mamaji... aap ruk jaeiye... mamiji ko lekar hi aaiye!!" I knew without them in the house I would have the perfect opportunity to extract my revenge!! Maa came down and stood next to us on the dining table... and began instructing sona about the various things she had to look into... I got up and touched maa and mamaji's feet and announced "sonakshi aaj sham ko meri ek diwali party hai and woh attend krna thoda important hai... " she looked at me and nodded!!

I picked up my laptop bag as she entered the room... "dev aaj choti diwali hai toh, ma baba ke ghar chalein thodi der ke liye... or baba ko humse kuch baat bhi krni hai!!"

"theek hai party jane se pehle unse mil lenge" I said as I moved towards her, we stood close to each other when breathing in her delicious scent I said "kal raat wali baat abhi bhi lagu hai?" I knew her answer

"hanji... ab jaeyi... sham mein jaldi aajana... or kal chutti le lena..." she said smiling her cocky smile

I huffed and said "meri toh tumhe padi nahi hai kal chutti leker mai kya karunga!!"

smiling she said "punishment toh aaj raat tak hi hai na..." I looked at my blushing wife and giving her a flying kiss I left!!

I came back to find nobody was in the living room!! "keechu bahiya" I called

"ji bhaiya ji" came his reply as he came to me with a glass of water...

"sab kahn h" I asked him taking the glass

"nikki, riya didi ke sath unke ghar gai hain kal aaengi or doctor bhabhi, upar apne kamre mein hai!!"

"thank you" I replied nonchalantly as he took the glass from me"keechu bhaiya aap bhi ghar chaele jaeye!!" perfect setting!! I moved towards my room the door was locked I knocked again and she opened the door, And there she stood, looking enchanting as ever!! She was wearing a deep blue lehenga... the skirt was plain and the blouse was covered with intricate silver roses!! She had pinned her duppatta simply in the front it came down to her waist her hairs were tied up... and to say she looked drop dead gorgeous was an understatement!! Her lips were moving but I was completely taken by the sight infront of me!!

She moved forward and waved a hand infront of me and said "earth to mr dixit, kahn kho gaye aap?" she said waving her hands and I noticed the deep blue bangles that adored her wrists!!

"aap mein" was all I could say...

"how cheesy " she turned around and I saw her back the blouse had a three strip pattren at the back...

" tum aise jaogi" I asked alarm seeping in my voice

"han!! Kyu mai aachi nahi lag rahi..." When I didn't answer she continued "aapko pata hai maine kitni mehnat ki hai ready hone mein..."

"wahi toh problem hai... tum itna ready kyu hui ho... Tumhe pata hai tum keher dha rahi ho... aisi halat mein agar mai tumhe party mein leke gaya or koi casualty ho gai toh, kya karunga mai!!!" she looked at me baffled at my logic

"shut up!!" she said irritated!!! "by the way aapke kapde wahan pade hai... she said pointing to a beige colored pathani... And I realised she had deliberately picked a complimenting color for me, without much ado I headed to change!!!

As per our plan we had to visit my in laws first but the main destination was the party where eminent business personalities flocked to celebrate diwali!! So I headed to the basement parking lot of the house where I parked my personal favourite Mercedes which apparently was a two seater!!! I took the wheel and drove out and parked outside the gates of the house waiting for her... I knew she was having trouble walking with the heavy garment but I was having way too fun watching her struggle as it was her idea to make me suffer as such!! She walked towards the car and I helped her get in, and we drove towards her house!!!

We walked in and stood before the glass doors of her house when I glanced at her and the effect was still the same!! Before I could say something maa opened the door and let us in" shona kito sundar lagchi!! ekdum doll, nahi maa..." And the conversation continued!!

"maa baba kahn hai" I broke their stream of praises for sona

"han beta woh apne room mein hai, woh patake phoot rahe the na toh unhe shor se problem ho rahi thi" so we went into the bedroom she had indicated and there he was the man of the house!! We touched his feet and he blessed us and we were all seated on the bed when maa and dadi also joined us!! " beta, woh humne tum dono ko saurav ki shaadi se related kuch batana hai... "

" han baba batao na" sonakshi said...

" humne saurav ki shaadi ki date fix kar di hai... bhai dooj ke din aashirwad hoga and uske next day ek simple si court marriage and sham ko mandir mein wedding!!" hearing these words I was taken aback...

why were my in laws planning such a meagre wedding... we were silent ... "baba lekin aap aisi shaadi kyu plan kr rahe ho.. agar kuch problem hai toh baat krke finish krte hai na.. shaadi toh pure mann se honi chahiye kyuki hum ek hi baari shaadi krte hai..." I finished and looked at him to justify his approach..

Baba looked at me and sona and then in a grave voice began "mostly, log shaadi ek hi baar krte hai... But yeh nupur ki dusri shaadi hai..." we were too stunned to continue so baba spared us the conversation and continued " 2 saal pehle nupur ki shaadi arijit chattergy ke sath hui thi... lekin 7 mahine pehle uska ek car accident hua and spot death ho gai... tabse nupur or uska ek saal ka beta robin delhi mein settled hai... or yeh jo ristey ki baat aai thi na, woh bhi football ki wajah se hua hai.. ussne hi nupur ko yeh arranged marriage ka idea dia tha... "

"toh baba aapko koi problem nahi hai na iss baat se..." sonakshi asked in a small voice

"problem kya hogi beta... bas yahi hai ki, unhe aage jake koi problem na ho... yeh baat ki, robin saurav ka beta nahi hai.. yeh kahin usse hi baad mein hurt na kare... humein aisa lag raha hai jaise woh sirf sabka bhala krne ke liye yeh shaadi kr raha hai... Issliye hum chahte hai ki who humein batae ki aisa toh kuch nahi h na..." baba paused...

" tum dono.mein se agar koi saurav se reson ke sakta hai toh karo na... mujhe toh bahut tension ho rahi hai..." ma said in a soft tone..

before sonakshi could interject I said "mai baat krta hoon" three pair of eyes turned towards me boring into my skin...
