@Tia
A strong man can handle a strong woman. A weak man will say she has an attitude.

Who is a strong woman here? Sonakshi? I beg to differ.

Correct. Sonakshi was a strong woman before marriage. But she seems to have forgotten herself. That's why she needed Elena to remind her who she is.

agree. no more sonakshi is a strong woman. the moment she xpted the marraige proposal without resolving issues with Dev and without giving that broken relation time to heal... she lost it! maa/beta have really dona a number on her.. ek din bhi bechari ko chain nahin. ive been there where she is.. so know her pain. but through all my MIL's drama, my husband didnt behave the way Dev does. but then again.. he is a complicated man created by his lovely maatajee. matajee who claims to love her children but her actions prove otherwise.

it takes time for MILs to warm up but what is here.. is something else!

😆I wait for your posts and @doctor's! I am so glad that I've stopped watching the show and I come here only for the written updates and your posts. What are the cvs exactly trying to show? A realistic portrayal of the dynamics of a dysfunctional family?😲 Agreed that a lot of mothers are like ishwari in terms of being possessive about their sons but what about this sick mentality of trying to take away all off dev's free time and not allowing the newly wedded couple to spend time with each other. Do the cvs even know what message they are conveying! It's almost like ishwari suffers from Jocasta complex.(shudders) Ridiculous. Dev is completely hopeless. I mean where is all that lauu that he showed during ritik and Sona's engagement! And I guess the insults and taunts hurled at Sona in the ishwari mansion is her karma of toying with ritik' life! You don't have to be highly educated or exceptionally erudite to understand that YOU DO NOT CALL YOUR EX ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT and you do not keep looking at the door expecting him to come any moment! So yes Sona inflicted this upon herself. So I have no sympathy for her either!
Love your posts though! Keep them coming😊

Wanted to post one thing here. Just learned that the MIL of a friend who is Ishwari part 2 (the MIL not the friend) but tragically (for her) doesn't have a son like Dev cries everyday while watching the show.
So see the show is striking the correct emotional chords at least with some audience. 😆

There is no doubt that Sona has made her bed and have to lie on it because of the choices she made.

I said in one of my comments before.

She put everything at risk for this relationship. Her parents' respect, her own respect, her family's honour in society etc. Not to mention she even convinced her dad that she will only be happy with Dev in spite of his wise advice to wait for sometime before jumping into another bad decision.

Being a middle class woman, she also probably thinks how much her family has spent on her wedding after a broken engagement.

Going back to her family and revealing what she has been going through since wedding day will be admitting defeat of her belief in her love.

And that she is not prepared to do.

But one thing I know, staying silent and not protesting injustice has never made anyone get their due respect.

So if Sona is prepared to live her life without respect and like an outsider, then she has made the right decision.

Yestready, I started to type a response here, but couldn't do it. That's how disappointing Dev's character has turned out. What was that with sleeping on the couch for the whole family to see?! So he would punish Sona like this for I don't know what mistake she committed! Such an insensitive prick! I can understand anger and wanting to brood, but humiliating your wife in front of the whole family is beyond my understanding!
Nope. Accepting Sona with her health condition doesn't absolve him of what he did. With or without her womb, Sona is precious.

That's the excuse people are giving to defend Dev's action. That's ridiculous. A woman is not just her womb or her ability to give birth. She is a human being. Dev married her knowing her condition, but that was no favour. That was the right thing to do.

No one is saying that Sona married Dev in spite of his psychotic mother and his weakness is doing him a favour.

If Sona can't bear children, there is an option for surrogacy or adoption (besides when she would get a chance to conceive anyway).

But there's no solution for weak personality that only becomes strong when it comes to showing attitude to wife and employees (Not Vicky though, Dev has no personality there as well).

I read almost all the replies on this post. Yay me!
So I discovered that people tag our replies as bakwaas and we are really negative because we find faults in all the episodes 😆 I hope all those "positive" people get a husband like Dev and a MIL like Ishwari.

P.S.- Just had to say this. Sorry Tia!
