Truly, is there any better husband than Dev?
I mean first he generously allows his wife to assume that she is his family and then when she crosses her limits, he very tenderly screams at her to let her know that, "Just kidding, I don't give a damn what you think nor care"...
Then he gives her one whole day to come to her senses and grovel at his feet for daring to ask her husband any question.
But Sona is such a bad wife that she doesn't even know what she is supposed to do.
A woman is there to apologise whether she is at fault or not. A man is NEVER wrong and if some overly modern types even bother to say a man is wrong, there are many other who will try to defend even a serial offender for any excuse under the sun.
I mean if a man makes mistake, it's the women's responsibility to whitewash it.
Anyway, moving on to the "Ode to the Ideal Husband"...
After a completely wasted day where any other wife would have grovelled already at her very handsome and rich husband's feet for crumbs of his approval, Dev comes home late to find his wife dared to go to bed while his mother is the only one at his service?
This is the limit... His Goddess taking care of him and his wife didn't even bother to stand in attention at late night? What the heck was she doing all day that she failed at her duty to her husband?
Seriously, epic fail in wifely responsibility and such a bad service standard.
So it stands to reason that he will sleep on the couch, so that his entire family can see him there and heap some more blame and insult on his wife.
After all she deserves it by not groveling while she still had the chance.
And could you believe her audacity? She actually cooked breakfast for his family after failing to be an ideal wife.
I mean that's just can't be forgiven.
So he showed her where she stands by walking out without eating breakfast just like his brother did. Well, his brother hates his wife and not even married to her and he claims to love his wife, not to mention her husband, but that doesn't matter. If he as a husband doesn't insult his wife, then how'd he show his husband status? If a husband can't drive the point in his wife's head how little she stands in his estimation, then what is the point to be a husband?
But OMG... did you see the true romantic scenes? I could just die!!! I practically melted in my seat. Now that's what I call standing up for someone's respect.
Did you see how Ishwari defended her daughter-in-law from Radha's taunts? It was so supportive and romantic and respectful... And why not? After all, this is what true love is...
Sona, may be increase your effort to grovel. If you learn to say sorry for everyone's mistake and start taking insults with a smiling face, you will have a very happy married life in Dixit's family.
After all, keeping head down and taking crap from others are women's reality, right?
