Hello Rose,
you actually have opened up something new for me. I have not been regular here, since 3-4 days, missed a few episodes. But what I saw today was a very smooth transition from lovers to newly weds and a little more accommodative Ishwari.

I may be wrong, but for some one who skipped a few episodes, the episode was very subtley done.

The one statement from you struck me: I don't think the CVs are taking the route of showing simple insecurity.I think they are moving the track towards a mental disorder.

you may be right but I beg to differ. I wouldnt want to give it any name. But I think this is insecurity which is dramatised to suit the audience . I dont think it has gone to the extreme to be called mental disorder. Just my thinking, but then I may be wrong.

Ishwari had three blows today:

* Dev skipping his breakfast with mother and taking breakfast for his wife
* Dev waiting to meet his wife before going to work
* Dev sending parcel to MRS Sonakshi Dixit.

the return gift from Ishwari was
* locking the cupboard
* sending Dev to Haridwar.

your next point: She doesn't understand the concept of 2 different relationships right now.All she believes is that if Sona's value in Dev's life increases then her would automatically reduce.

100% true. This is the fear every mother has and IShwari has it 100 multiplied with infinity.

So from now on, it will be a Tom and Jerry race between both Sona and Ishwari. Both wont be wrong and neither right. But just as Sona and Dev though different, have managed to co-exists and love each other dearly, Sona needs to be the first to identify this and learn to out her relationship with IShwari.

As a audience I would love to see Neha help Sona, but its left upto the makers to handle it. I will take any crap, as long as I get daily dose of Devakshi...

your next point: The consummation or intimacy - Ishwari feels like Sona can provide Dev with something that she can't in this aspect and that would lead to Sona gaining importance over her.

Valid and true. But the first night they did sleep together and how can Ishwari know that 'its' not over yet? You still think she is trying to avoid them sleeping together on purpose? May be I am not able to see it, but I think the situations where created such that they dont get time together???

I am convinced that it is moving towards Ishwari suffering from a mental disorder. I had predicted weeks ago. I also predict there will be a separation again! How, when, at what time we all know... too obviously done... my BP keeps rising watching Ishwari as I just cannot believe there are such over possessive moms, unless it is a serious mental illness! Looks like I must visit a psychiatrist specially for decoding characters like Ishwari!

@ ashakd

I really hope that they are going the mental disorder route because that makes for pathbreaking TV but I also have a doubt about dramatizing to suit the audience and if they are doing this then what they are showing may rub the viewers the wrong way.

Either way I think the makers have to tread softly here:

Mental illness of a Mom's unhealthy dependence on the son..maybe unexplored but dangerous especially to a large Indian audience- this is just my view

Dramatic portraayl of insecurity of a mother which is bordering on creepiness and the personal space of a Man and his wife again a slippery slope because not many audiences will understand it

Seriously, I just can't imagine any other reason for this level of obsession. Her character really does make us ponder ,question and analyse so much.Plus,I really think that Indians don't consider or accept the possibility of mental illness even if all signs are pointing towards it because its never openly discussed and taught(other than those who specialise in it)It is such a taboo topic and misunderstood by so many.

In Indian scenario, if you give this situation a term called mental illness, then I think it wont go down well. I know this is not ' normal' nor ' sane' in any civilized society, but the term Mental illness will not go down well is what I think

Ishwari type MILS are closet MIL, hidden in the small streets of India, Are ladies/MILS/ out there willing to see this brought out on TV?

I am sure MIL like Ishwari, in real must be stooping much lower than this. I would be happy if this is now addressed. But have my reservations about acceptance.

Ish insecurities or whatever it is are way out of control now. She plays the victim card so well. Even after insults, Sona is more worried that Ish has to bear the brunt from Dadi. Ish has excelled in the art of making everyone around her feel guilty and hence comply by her whims and fancies.
Sona wud realise it and finally it wud be her who wud help Ish to understand and manage her insecurities but till then we are going to witness extreme obsessive behavior and manipulations by Ish. Like many said Neha wud be pivotal in this track and soon we will see Neha back in Dixit house.

I don't think it wud go mental disorder way (it shud but it won't) but then the writers have really gone to the extreme with Ish character specially this track of devoiding Dev n Sona to consummate their marriage. Its disturbing to the core. No one can now relate with Ish or has any sympathy left for her. The more she see Dev's love and concern for Sona, the harsher she wud get with Sona.

The only way Dev wud accept it wud be when he witnesses Ish behavior with Sona firsthand.

For me it doesnt , look like simple insecurity , its a psychological issue..which needs to be treated...I just replied to another post...I am going to copy paste the same...
Cant believe CV team is taking Ishwari's insecurity to the level of sexual jealousy...I hope they have done enough research on this one ...though most of us had guessed that Ishu - Dev's relationship isnt normal.

All our guesses on one aspect was spot on. Ishwari depends on Dev's emotional support. After she lost her husband that emotional vacuum that she faced was filled by Dev's emotional backing ...and that is why she has a sexual jealousy with Sona...Sexual Jealousy among females mostly happens because of fear of loosing the emotional support (related to emotional infidelity )...psychologically proven theory !!

She doesnt want Sona and Dev to get physically close because she feels if that happens then she will loose Dev 's emotional support and care..Now when Sona try's to reason with Dev, he will support his mom...because for him she is god and always true...

Regarding her curiosity abt the gift... Let her open the box...probably she will faint..I think it might be some night wear ...let her know what her son's intentions are 😳😆...on a serious note ..I really want her to open and see ...seriously I want her to know what her son's intentions are and this is going to be her first realisation... the fact that she cant fulfill all the needs of her Son...mom has her limitations!!

She needs help this is a huge psychological issue...its not normal...I hope the cv team realises this aspect and not show it as like a Sas Bahu track...because this aspect cannot be sorted with out proper counseling...

Not sure how they are going to redeem Ishwari after this...😡

👏 To the lines in Bold..now let us see if the makers will go the Mental illness route and address this..I think ashad termed a word for this closet MIL so apt.. we have such amazing thinkers in this forum
