I loved your post... Its exactly what i have always felt about Dev and his Mahan Mata... though i stopped watching the show once Sona was stupid enough to agree for the marriage without thinking, I keep following the written updates and today I'm glad I have stopped watching this crap...
I had loved this show so much initially but its all past now...

I don't think they can ever bring back the original flavour this show had...

Dev's character is butchered badly and Sona is been shown so dumb and stupid that she forgot everything in seconds and was happy with her dreamy fairytale which she thought is going to turn into reality after being married to Dumb Dev...

But Sona darling, now u know what have u landed in... I don't see Dev standing up for u in near future... So be ready to get insulted every day every minute in Dixit house... be ready to listen to your family being insulted in every opportunity Dixits would get... and im sure u r so dumb that as soon as u enter ur room and see Dev in romantic mood, u will forget all the insults and start dreaming about ur prince charming and his love ONLY... I wish u were not stupid to think ONLY Dev's love is what you need to survive in Dixit house...

Yes. Now that the rosy haze of love and romance have shifted, the truth is getting clearer for Sona now. But she can't win this battle in her straight forward way. She needs to win this game like a game of chess. Because unfortunately her King is under the influence of the Black Queen. Only a brilliant strategy will win her deserving place now.

I felt a sense of relief.. When Sona gave it to Dev...

👏

And to rewind.. I love the look she gave Ishwari,Sona is in ... And believe me she will be a winner here, it's a matter of understanding her MIL,and she hit the nail on the dot!!!
She will handle them both!I do see a change in Dev, it's going to happen!

Tia your post is bang on 👏 superbl:)))

That was a brilliant post Tia ... Loved it !!!!

"I hope someone answers Dadi Bua that you need to have brains to run a household, not a pallu over your head. "

hahaha so true , I always wondered where does these people comes from for these ceremonies like their sole intention is to insult the new bride !!! I have never attended such functions since I am from south , but I am curious to know if there is even 5% truth to what they show in TV !!!!

I dont think Sona is gonna take it all silently , she is surely not the damsel in distress who needs rescuing !!!! And she is also not one insensitive and immature person to do or talk something in the spur of moment which would have adverse effects later ... So lets wait and watch how she tackle these situations !!!! As much as his silence irritated me , I am willing to give Dev a chance , as its not easy to come out of trance which he had been in , like forever , let us see how hard he can try !!!!!

You see the same thing that attracted you to the show, brought all of us here.

I know CVs are showing reality but in real life no one calls a character like Dev an ideal husband.

You see in our society no one understands what a difficult task women have been doing for ages so effortlessly. They leave their parents's home where they are treated like princesses and go live in a new family where they come at the bottom of the priority list until they become older and already savrificed their entire youth living their life at someone else's whim...

If then their husbands say, "You have given up a lot so that I get to stay with my family, how can I share your pain? How can I make it up to you so that you feel welcomed into my family? How can I make you feel comfortable in our home?", all doubts, all pain would go away in an instant.

Women melt at the smallest gestures, in the littlest thoughtful behaviour. Like their husband saying , "Thank you, I appreciate everything that you do.", or sending a text saying, "I am thinking about you", making sure his family understands that disrespecting his wife is disrespecting him and he won't tolerate that from anyone in his house which is also hers.

There's a lot of things which a woman would put up with. But the person for whom she is tolerating everything, should understand a happy marriage does not prosper in a toxic environment.

This is an excellent post tia.o. 👏👏Its my first ever post here in this forum...I first watched KRPKAB when Dev was at Sona's place and they were having a beautiful conversation in her garden...I was literally mesmerized with the subtlety and pureness in that episode...not OTT just plain awesomeness was that episode...and it remains to be my favorite of all...anyways...

This sadly is the reality in the weddings(arranged or love)...my in-laws made a big mess during my brothers engagement...i was so pissed...i still get angry about that...but its true that there are many people like dadi bua and mamiji who gain happiness screwing things for others

Everything from the start regarding the wedding was a big mess. Every one was( and still are) in their la-la land...he is happy so I am happy...she is happy so I am happy...

I feel bad for Sona. Sona wake up and smell the coffee dear!! its not all rosy...but this is what she got into with all her senses...sigh......The situation in which Sona is currently now is very close to me...I have been there...and its not at all fun...though not quite insulted during my wedding...but even after 10 years of marriage, I am still an outsider at my in-laws home...Coming from a close knit family, initially I felt bad...now I give a damn about it...its always a two way street...you get what you give..now I tolerate them only because of my husband(he is the sweetest guy😳)...Dixits, you will be the ultimate losers if you dont realize that Sona is the real Sona

and Dev, where to start for him...he conveniently pushes everything under the rug to 'protect' his loved ones (rather puts a blanket on that so that no one notices it) but doesnt realize that he has been stuffing the rug from one side and things remain hidden until the rug can cover..once its too short...everything will come out ...i thought the breakup would be his wake-up call..alas..Dude you have to wake-up now before its too late...I know you love Sona...saying so is just not enough anymore you will have to prove it...which you havent done yet...please please stand up for your love..

Precisely. Those who say love is the only thing you need to have a happy life, has never lived in a toxic environment. When your dignity and self-respect get crushed every day with taunts and insults for no fault of your own, your heart and soul get damaged and a damaged heart can't sustain love.

I am from Kolkata. Muh dikhai doesn't happen in Bengali culture either.

But in North Indian culture it happens. The bride is covered with a large pally and the ladies get to peek under it and give gifts or nek or shagun...

Here's why I got pissed off at the precap. The purpose of the Muh Dikhai is to show off the bride. So everyone got to see the bride. Just because they did not get to lift the pallu so what? Dev didn't get to do that in his wedding night either.

Secondly, look at the round stairs. Can anyone walk with their face covered down those steps in silk saree which is slippery? Instead of Muh Dikhai it could have turned into neck tudvai.

But of course, that also has to be the indication of her ability to run a household.

I wish Sona answered, "Why don't you tell your Ishwari to hand over the reign and see if I can manage the household?"

Awesome ! Commenting in your posts seems like coming back at home 😃

Today's episode amazed me.

So the saga of Sona speaking out the bitter truth and Dev-Ishwari's living in Denial continues 😊
The saga of Dev and Ishwari eternal love-story continues when they keep proposing each other saying how much they love each other and what they mean to each other
Dev's romantic puppy face continues ignoring the concerns of Sona and her family 😊
Ishwari's insensitive words that she accepted Sona due to Dev's zid continues to hurt Sona 😊
Dixit's endless taunts and insults to Sona continues and so does Dev's amazing silence 😊
Sona's usual equation with the illiterate Dixits continues 😃

The only thing which does not continue is my rant and feeling sad about Sona. 😛 She has asked for this. She has ignored a perfect cultured family for a family like this - in her own word - Conservative, in my word - illiterate and uncultured along with regressive. A family which don't feel proud seeing the BP machine in newly wedded DIL's hand, a family which don't feel the courtesy to keep silence in fronta the guests, a family which don't feel the coutesy of NOT insulting the newly wedded DIL's family. Time for Baba's EACH AND EVERY word to be proven true 👏 What an insight this man has 😎. For Sona, all I can say is, soon is the day when she realizes her mistake and breaks down on her baba's shoulder 💔

Dev and Ishwari share a dangerous level of unhealthy relationship which no girl should be trapped into. Dev should have never married. Dev doesn't have the ability to understand anything from the girl's point of view but I can't blame him alone anymore. Sona never gave him the opportunity to learn that either 😃. Before he could come out of 'I, me, myself' he had Sona in his arms again. So of course today whatever Sona was saying, went above his head 😆. Not a word in Kanyadaan fiasco, and he had the audacity to point out Bose's mistakes in the wedding 😆.

Good luck to Sona in such unhealthy environment. Hope you make to it 😉😆

I think the reason Bijoy was against this marriage was because he noticed this strange fixation Dev and Ishwari have for each other and the fact that it never went away. That is precisely why he did not want to send his daughter to be the third wheel in their equation. But his insight did not help Sona because her love put the exact blindfold in her eyes that Dev has for his mother. All she thought about is her wedding and happily ever after. But what comes after that, she never bothered to figure out nor even bothered to clarify with Dev.

Dev also thinks everything in the same way Sona does. Dev + Sona = happiness. But he never considered Dev + Sona + his mother's possessiveness = What?

His mother running his life, answering his questions might be adorable to him, but that could be irritating for Sona. But he expected Sona to fall in gratitude for his mother accepting her for the sake of her son. Which dimension do you live in Dev?

P.S. I enjoy your posts as well. Keep them coming.
