Just wanted to add that sona did wear something from her inlaws side as well - that lojjo vastra !!
As it was agreed that wedding will be bengali style , i dont see any issues with her wearing her maika ka saree and sasural ka dupatta... Its not hypocracy

Wonderful post. Loved every bit of it.
I so agree with almost everything you mentioned. For me, overall the wedding was more of social drama than the love story of Dev and Sonakshi. Realistic, but left me asking for more!

Ever since the confession, there has been a constant cry about lack of enough romance/ passion/ love between the leads, but the makers don't seem to pay much heed to it - I don't know why! Even Devakshi moments being edited in the wedding was disappointing.

Anyway, I am excited about how the story unfolds now on... So looking forward to it!

Lovely post. I watched the ME through Devakshi's and mamji's eyes, so i am very much happy with it 😆
I will slightly disagree with few things here. As far as lehenga issue is concerned sona and her family should have at least talked to Dixits. They cannot expect dixits to understand everything on their own. And specially when sona knows them before hand. Ishwari gave her lehenga n i guess it was understood for sona that it was her wedding dress. I loved how beautifully Asha explained about bengali culture but this should have been done earlier. But considering the fact how bose and dixits were behaving before wedding, it was almost impossible for any of them to talk sensibly without throwing verbal daggers at each other 😆

Agree with you, non veg issue was too much and we will see its repercussions on the first night only. They could have kept both veg and non veg food in different areas. My main concern is Ishwari, she is like a silent bomb. She was hurt during wedding but agreed to everything for her son's happiness. She did the same earlier also, faking her happiness in front of others and landed up in hospital shaking everyone else. I hope this time Dev and Sonakshi manage this silent bomb together without any break up.

Great post once again Deeps:)))

Everything said and done .. It felt like a grandeur wedding, which did have its share of joy and sadness ..yes there are things that are overlooked by the families! But the lehenga piece and the non -veg was something one could have been avoided! Purely due to a lot miscommunication .. And transparency!!!

Purely an assumption was made by both ... Especially the Dixit's!!
Ishwari could have warned Buaji about the non-vej! She should have made arrangements, I fact told Dev to explain the Sona that they will carry food for Buaji as she will not able able to eat there! During the wedding the couple is already so in their own bubble.. It will only create more problems !!!

Seriously Ishwari is selfish, she only wants Dev to be happy as she wants to be best in his eyes...and will do anything to achieve that goal!!her insecurities are deep rooted, Dev will have to understand this and then balance accordingly

Well I did enjoy watching the happy couple as they finally did get married!

Looking forward to watching this new journey of there's .. Hopefully Sona is the mature and patient one here 👏

Sorry . I disagree . Sona knows the importance of wearing the Lehenga

To me Iswari wholeheartedly gave that lehenga to Sona. She doesn't need to explain anything.

Sona left her engagement because she never really wished to move over with Ritwik. She took the opportunity to take Dev home. She knew the outcome.

Every member in bride's house especially in love marriages take part in discussing the food.
Sona deliberately overlooked the non veg issue.

Finally for you Sona is pure gold and for me she is not.

I am against the way Dev broke up but not with his decision to break up. So I don't feel he needs redemption.

Since our basic outlook at the way the FL behaved differ better to leave it there.

So here I am with the detailed analysis of the Maha wedding of our beloved Devakshi as promised. As I stated in my prev post, I really liked the episode for its realistic approach and for the sheer hardwork the makers have put to create really what is called a "Mahaepisode" and not a mere filler one as it usually happens.

You fulfilled your promise and here I am, to fulfill my ritual of replying to your post. 😳

I'll start with the subject as always...😉

My take on the subject:

I like how you gave that hint that whatever they have gone through till now was just a small battle but now they have to fight a big war for major changes and challenged lie ahead for both of them.😲

Yes it was the most realistic wedding for me, I was soo tired by the end of it as if I did all arrangements and so I also felt bad somewhere when some people didn't like it 😆. Everything to do with KRPKAB is very personal these days 😉😆

Thankfully I am not over Possessive like Ishu mummy 😆

I had a special post for the makers to Thank them as their efforts made were commendable ☺️👏👏

The Grandeur Entrance !👏

Must say this has to be one of the magnanimous entry for a serial groom I have seen. Such grand scale with a majestically royal looking Dev is a definite breathtaking eye catchy scene. The drones were used wonderfully capturing the beauty of the wedding hall and the crowd! No wonder the groom side was awestruck including the loud mouth Buaji taunting GKB 😆.

Ofcourse bride's brother take care of the guests and here our Cute Saurab takes charge much to the delight of the Dixit sisters who adore him as Dada as well😳

The makers spent huge and displayed it ..also giving us a hint that a lot has been spent on wedding so no budget left for honeymoon 😆

On a serious note, It was Grand and it was really well shot. Dev looked royal. Set looked like a palace and camera made feel, I am inside the television having a look at the decor for real.

And to add, I forgave Saurab dada after the wedding for that mediocre sangeet dress he gifted to Sonakshi 😆 😉

Legenga - Hypocrisy or Oblivious ? :

I am glad makers showed Sona had to visit the groom family for a "Shagun rasam" (I was wondering why she had to stride through to see them before the wedding ceremony) with a quick "Tilaki bengali rasam" for Dev. As expected every Dixit member is shocked to see a gorgeous looking Sona but not in their legenga . I will blame both Ishwari and Sona a bit here and not Buaji or Bose family. According to Bose family, Dixit's had agreed for a wedding with Bengali rituals and they are ought to follow that. And according to Bua its a disrespect because she is oblivious of such promise.

Whereas Ishwari should have communicated clearly to the Bose family about the legenga if she had intended Sona to wear that inspite of agreeing to Bengali tradition and Sona though not fully aware of the other tradition should have known about the legenga and its importance from Neha's marriage being a matured one! But I can't blame Sona here for hypocrisy because she is simply oblivious about the legenga and have no intention of hurting her in-laws family with her choice but inturn respected her family's which is not the case in Neha's!!

I agree till the bold part. But I also mentioned in some other posts. Because Sona already knew how important the lehnga sent by the groom's side is, she should have communicated or discussed this with Dev or Ishwari. She already knew how small issues were coming up on everything and lehnga could have been one more given the history of Neha's wedding.

Sona is also a human and can make mistakes, she was at fault for me. She could have easily worn the saree given by her baba for phera and Ishwari's gifted lehnga for varmala or other way round. Yes it would have been tiring but the smile it would have got on both the families face and that assurance that she respected them would have been worth it. When you care too much for people, you try to find solutions even if they are not easy. She sent pick of her sangeet dress to Dev, what about wedding? There had to be some communication. I felt bad for Ishwari, for the fact that you know I don't hate her. 😉

But I give it to Sona, mistake happened, she can apologise and promise to wear it on Riya's wedding 😆😆

15 Lakh saved, Ishu maiya happy 😉😆

As usual our smart Mamaji saves the embarrassment by showing the Dixit ladies what really matters is not alta or mehendi or legenga or Banarasi saree but the happiness on their kids faces !! I also loved the fact how Buaji accepted this and blessed Sona whole heartedly (This is exactly how the elders behave ! )👏

Mamaji is gem of a person. I just loved how the makers made it even more real for me. I have seen issues coming up on all weddings, but in the end someone sane jumps in and makes people stop by telling them that its all for the kids happiness to which everyone agrees and matter closes for that moment and things continue. Same happened in this wedding too.

Mama ji ne Bose's ka maan rakha aur Bijoy bana ne mama ji ka by saying he wont discuss abt this with Dev😳

Sometimes I feel, a person like mamaji should have been blessed with a daughter, he could have valued her like a father dotes his daughter. And maybe a mother like GKB would get some etiquette on how to treat girls and so maybe Vicky would have been a lil better if not good.

The makers were brilliant showing the side stories of Ranveer and Saurabh not happy with the costly gifts opening up future tracks nicely.

I wanna clap for the makers.. how they captured Ranveer just for a second with those expressions and we could easily understand what he was feeling. They didn't skip minute details. Blinking an eye, viewers could have missed important things.

The Magical Varmala :

Two pretty watchman or rather watchwoman 😆 waiting for "Joota chupai" was a cute scene, who were startled to hear the "ulu" sound and so is the entire Dixit clan. How realistic that scene was !!👏

Just like above, minute details kept in mind and shown in a light manner. They even took his shoes to the mandap for varmala and didn't leave them 😉😆

We might have seen numerous movies and series to know a bit about different rituals but when it happens in reality we are tend to be surprised and so aptly shown with the Dixits . (Heck I myself get surprised to some of our own rituals even after attending so many marriages let alone intercultural one😆 )

And enters our gorgeous bride Sonakshi with her face hidden in "paan pathra" much to the delight and amusement of Dev. His expressions when Sona goes around him was praiseworthy😳 ! And my my , my heart skipped a beat when I heard "Kuch rang" track played when Sona shows her face to Dev..Such bliss to watch .. (can't ignore Ishwari's content here when she Dev all smiley..touchwood)

When she entered, Dev's expression were as if some dream is coming running towards him.

That Song played just at the right moment, there was not even a skip of a micro millisecond 😳
and that tune makes one filled with joy. The expression on Dev's face just went with that joy song and the moment of seeing Sona as a bride. He sees her everyday but that moment was special and he'll remember it throughout his life.

Ishu and everyone's expression just showed how happy they all are..bunty too 😉😆

Sab expressions k beech..I was jumping..maaro goli baakiyo ko..focus.. focus on Devakshi only 😆😆 but I am glad this show doesn't still the camera on each face for 5 seconds each 😆...Just like that Nah - 1 Nahi - 2 Nahi-3 ...😆

The varmala is definitely "Unique Devakshi" style which is the highlight of the entire episode undoubtedly. So much joy, so much naughtiness, so much love, so much respect all in one package. The entire sequence indicated no matter how much ever Dev's "Sena" tries to provoke him , he will always bow down to his queen's love and no matter how much ever his queen is demanding, he will for sure go out of his way to get her even by crook or hook😉 !! That little flick from Sona after Dev tricking her is a definite "Sharica" moment for me. (You guys won't believe how many offscreen bytes I watched after the episode where Erica hits him like that in his tummy, hand, etc etc, etc) 🤣

@bold: I ditto. and that "...get her by crook or hook" made you earn some points 😆☺️

That tummy moment has like uff...

Devakshi Vermala got out the Hopeless Romantic in me again right from Sona's entry till the end. 😳

Now Vicky's "Mehnet" dialog to Elena had got me intrigued .. What is he intending, a mere crush or a committed marriage?🤔 If it is indeed marriage am all for it as it will be super dhamaka one with a comical twist for both GKB and us because Elena will be a right fit to straighten his dogtails without compromising her values!

No comments on Vicky after I saw a mother like Radha Rani at Sangeet Ceremony. 😡

Elena ...R u listening...?? Pls do something abt it...
I think they intentionally showed Elena as someone who very easily chats with any stranger or is too much into random dating indicating that for guys like Vicky she's that "easy" catch. But the girl clearly understands the difference between boys and creepy boys. She's yet to fall for a man and Vicky cannot be man enough for me.

An eyeopening Kanyadhaan:

A pride father at his best when he told his daughter is not a thing to give as "Dhaan" but his pride during "Kanyadhaan"!! Also loved how Bijoy demanded Dev "the same respect" for his daughter while Sona will shower "the same love and happiness" in their house.👏

I liked how he had a dialogue there.. knowing he was Bijoy I expected him to say something unlike many father's who don't speak about their feelings openly and just perform that ritual while their heart says those words to themselves.

Buaji and Mamiji mouthed vocally what in reality every in-law family would think except it won't be this vocal. But the way Mamaji opened their spiteful eyes for degrading DIL by comparing to their won daughter (Neha) was heartwarming. No wonder Ishwari and others caved in because he was indeed correct !!

Bua ji dialogue was not required but I understand both her and GKB, they are those elders who want to speak and make their importance felt no matter whether the moment requires them to speak or not.

Mamji again jumped in and said those beautiful words which made Baba content that atleast there is someone in Dixit's house who will be there to support Sona in her battles.

Someone Sona can have as her support system apart from Dev, a father figure.

Though we all wish that Dev voiced out something to soothe Bijoy, we should understand that in reality, no groom has the guts to open their mouth to their inlaws especially on their wedding day let alone Dev who just managed to get a "Yes" for marriage from his grumbling FIL😆 . He has all the time in the world to talk and console his family members after Sona is his rightfully.

Like always I support Dev here too 😉😳😆. The kind of man he is, I didn't expect him to say anything 😳

Food fiasco:

I agree the entire sequence was overdone but as I stated in reality this is a much much bigger issue than portrayed onscreen. For a pure vegetarian to be sharing the same space is a very sensitive issue to their belief and I applaud makers for handling this as real as they can. If we watch closely Ishwari was fine feeding her guests till Buaji pointed out her "Dharm" of following their beliefs rather than blindly following her Son's requests. Even Buaji didn't snort at Asha the first time but rather strongly pointed that they should have considered others' feelings and avoided the non-veg food when Asha requested the second time. Ishwari handled the situation so well not wanting to hurt any soul there be it Buaji or Bose family, but of course she decided to give respect to her elder's word and avoided having the wedding meal despite mamaji's effort. I can't blame anyone here because everyone was right in their own stands !

It wasn't overdone for me ..I said it in another post also. I have faced this issue at my sis mehndi/ Cocktail event. I know what big issue it was. All relatives noticing this between those celebrations and questioning my parents of the issue. We had no clue and were never informed of her being so fussy over this topic.

Ishwari acted just like an elder should. I just cannot hate her Deeps..I can't. She's never made me hate her except the forged signature. I always understand her behaviour and tghe reasons behind it.. I soo feel her heart and mind need to support each other.

And the rituals galore:

I loved the fact that inspite of having some displeasures , none of the members were against the union of Devakshi and all the rituals went ahead with smiles !

Same Here 😳 Even if they were..they cooperated after some fuss and tamasha 😆

The "Gaudbaddhan" followed by the pheras to the seven vacchans to the "khoi -offering to Fire God to the Sindhoor ceremony to the "lojja bostro" , every minute details (be it Sona breaking something during the last phera or Dev holding Sona so lovingly while performing Khoi ) is a bliss to watch for a non-follower of both cultures like me.

Bliss!!

I also came to know from wiki from "Mangalsutra" is not part of bengali wedding, so was not surprised the makers decided to edit it out. Even though it was not a 100% accurate rituals, am amazed with the amount of details they managed to show us as close to reality. Hats off to you CVs !!👏

Kitta hats off karu ..ab to count bhi nahi hai...but they deserve it 👏👏👏

Yes I never wanted this moment to end but what to do the reality strikes and the wedding is never over here and what difference it would have made from other serials if KRPKAB followed the same style 😉😆?!

Finally I didnt get to see another wedding going on for weeks and finally a real wedding it was.

Vidaai:

Frankly a very well done, composed , not over the top Vidaai. We are all so used to watching the dramatic crying scenes of Vidaai in movies and serials that we except a non-stop crying from entire family but in reality thats not the case. A family is just sad to see their daughter leave carrying a different identity whose love will be shared by one more family from now on and it comes out in the form of happy tears laced with inevitable truth of sadness.

I loved that they didnt have any babul ki dua type of song.

Bijoy -Sona scene was heart touching , a father who says her to be strong as her home and her support system is still intact here even though she is married now. Every girl will be lucky if she have a family like Sona😳 !! Dev's final goodbye was whisked away 😡maybe CVs were wiping their tears and camera moved..😆

I loved how he stood in a corner..how thats what I see father's doing in this moment. They try to hide themselves as they can't see their daughter leaving, can't see her crying and don't want to show they emotional side which they have shielded till date.

And what he said were just those lines fathers say in real life 😳

But that handhold of comfort from Dev to Sona in the car spoke more than million words of comfort. These small gestures steal our hearts!! (How the hell can this couple convey so many emotions with single handhold every time ?! Be it lust, love, care, comfort, pain..no wonder the makers are not thinking beyond a handhold )

Dev is a true gentleman ..he again proved it today with that way he made her sit in the car 😳

I wasn't expecting him to say anything here also for his hand over Sona's hand in the form of assurance, consoling her was enough for Sona to understand. And a girl doesnt need words in such instances, all they need is someone to be with them. That is an assurance in itself.

Grahapravesh:

A lovely entry to hell for Sona with a visually pleased Ishwari , a snarky Mami, cutesy giggling Ria and Nikki and a lovely Neha hug. Very warming to watch except for Mamiji part of course .

GKB dialogue could have been avoided but again like I said such people don't think of the occasion, the time, anything and just do all type of nonsense. I can expect that from her so no complaints.

Neha Nikki Riya were nice. Neha recently married and so she understands Sona's feeling. Nikki Riya were there to tell, we are friends and there to make you smile in those hard times.

Sona also made them feel with those gifts that you were thought of even on my happiest and busiest day.. I didnt forget you.

If Sona- Nanad's bonding in future is going to be like what I watched in the episode , I am going to be delighted !!

Dev babu whether you like it or not . you will become "Joru ka ghulam" .. See even the game implied !

Hehe..and he has no problems with that.😉😳

Frankly I would have loved the episode ending here and most of the disappointments would have been avoided but makers have decided to spice up things too fast that we got to see the fish drama.

I give it to the makers for they explained why they gave that fish issue to us. Ishu clearly mentioned and differentiated that she's still ok with such things outside but not at home. She is ready to adjust with outside situations and not complain much but if its in her house, she will not make any adjustments.

Fish slipped from or to Hell?

Even after Saurab and Elena watching so closely, this fish managed to get caught and packaged beautifully to show some colors of Dixit family.

* Ishwari can never accept Sona for what she is or from where she is and she will always be Dev's toy.

* Dev can man up when he sees his love's sad face but at the same time can never reason his Maa when she is on "My house My way control mode ON"

* Mami can never stop sneaking into other's stuffs

* Mamaji can never stop trying fixing this madhouse's loosed brain nets.

* Sona will never be keeping quite to prove her innocence if fingers are pointed

* Saurab and Elena will bow down to any extreme to make Sona's life easier if the mistake is theirs even if it is done unknowingly.!!

@ bold: A kiss and a big tight hug for writing this. These are my words ..did you enter into my mind to take a sneak peak😳😉😆?

Precap:

Devakshi: Ab to mera dil , Jaage na sota hai,, Kya karoon hayee, Kuch kuch hota hai ☺️

Ishwari : Hai qubool to aaja jaana, Daawat-e-Ishq hai, Ishq Hai😒

Mamiji : Aji jao ji jao ji galiyo mein dolo, Aji darwaja to kholo😡

Audience: Kuch tum socche, kuch hum socche, magar sabko mile Babaji ka thullu 😭😆

P.S:

* The episode can be a major disappointment if we watch with Buaji's eyes but will be a blissful experience if watched with Mamaji's eyes. I took the latter and its upto you whose eyes to take on to enjoy or to regret !!

@Bold: haha...Good one ...I watched it with mamaji's eyes 😆

* CVs you have won the battle with choosing an extremely talented cast and a unique storyline with a dedicated fandom but will loose the war in the race to TRP if you can't sustain these Victories. But I still trust you !!

My take on Battle and War is above 😉

P.P.S

Diksha darling as promised this post is dedicated to you for your undying open love. Hope the post justifies your waiting and reading time and lived up to your expectation😆.

Hello Deeps,
its been heck of a last few days for me. I actually managed to finish thursday, friday and monday episode on a marathon today. But I did read all your posts, the quick one and this one.

Let the war begin, we are ready for it. Devakshi will surely conquer every battle post on their way.

I just focused on the bright spots and lol it was not bad. I appreciate the makers for not taking the path taken by all, but making a path of their own.

I may not rejoice and awww at what I saw during the shadi now, but just wait for another serial to pop up, and have another lead pair have their onscreen shadi...then I will genuinely applaud what was shown in KRPKAB.

Sometimes some things are just left untold, coz when time unfolds it in a better way than my words would describe. Thats what KRPKAB is now, would wanna use words which I need to take back later.

KRPKAB, is in the 5th phase ( my own creation ) .

Phase 1: Dev and Sona meet
Phase 2: Sona works under Dev
Phase 3: they fall in love
Phase 4: they break up
Phase 5: they are married.

Each phase had its up and down, and phase 5 began with a eventful marriage and now to a phase when they spill all the venom out( Devs family ) . Let it settle, Sona will handle every sword with a sword, and GKB will not even realize what hit her.
We need to wait and watch.

KRPKAB makers have always been vouchig for subtlety and that's what was shown in the Mahaepisode as well. Loved every bit of it. Because, let us face it, however happy the people getting married are, they can't keep on smiling throughout the wedding, right? Very naturally done by both the lead actors. Their comfort just makes me go aaah! The CVs shoud seriously do something and exploit thisnatural chemistry that the leads share.

The only thing I hope for now is they do not turn it into a Saas-Bahu OTT drama. I still want Sona to work. To speak for herself. Have her own opinios. Dress up the way she wants and demand of Dev the support she needs. That would really e something new to watch on TV.

And Dev and Sona would remain with each other through thick and thin. About this I have no doubts.

Thanks for such a wonderful post. Keep coming up with more!

Thank you so much for taking your time to appreciate dear and so sorry for the late reply..Iam juggling with lot of stuffs and couldn't finish on time😆 Yes it was a very realistic marriage and as you said CVs can exploit the magial chemistry the leads share atleast a little bit more if not fully😆

We all wish the same though today's episode proving otherwise😆 Lets wait and watch how this lovebirds journey go from here😳
