It was so beautifully highlighted that d Dixits r Brahmin BT y sideline d Bose who r Kayasth

No offence to d Brahmin bt I was very angry wen Dadi buaa said humaari biraadri ki ladki

Common on I don't think I need to tell d status of Kayasth and Brahmin

I did nt like d CV s showed Kayasth as a lower caste

And d Brahmin r not like d way CV s portrayed

Yes they don't like non veg neither support it BT they do not make d one eating non veg bad

They don't do such a Ott drama

M really sorry for bringing this castism rant BT being a Kayasth cud nt stop my self

Just wanted to ask if any Up Srivastav and Up brahmin here to b specific from Kanpur if possible

Actually I wanted to know whether d marriage rituals r same or what

If diff then how

My sis who s a kayasth is in love with a brahmin boy

And just wanted to know what rituals can one expect from both sides

Is marriage between these to community possible in real?

And last BT not d least

Dear Priya,
I think its not the makers but you who got this thing up.

Dadi bua talked abt their family being brahmin family and never ever uttered a word abt Sona's family barring the non- veg eating family that they are. Kayastha or any caste was not even brought into the scene.

Sorry I didn't like how you mentioned such a sensitive point in your post.

As for the rituals, Indont knw the details.. mayb someone on the forum can help.

Yes, marriage is very much "possible".
It really happens or not totally depends on if those two people are seen and treated as 2 individuals and as 2 humans first and from different communities later.

No dear..dont say sorry. I am a human and I am full of flaws jst like anyone else.
Even I didnt want to make you feel bad.
I jst wanted to convey to u that its better if we take things how they are given to us and not add or give our extended interpretations to it.
They mentioned abt Brahmins who have issues with Non-veg, that was the point they wanted to bring and nothing beyond that was said..then why go into thinking or talking abt them getting into upper lower caste type of things.
We have enuf stuff out there who feed these thoughts in different minds. If somewhere its kept aside, let it stay there.

Lets treat human as a human before anything else. 😳

Abt rituals, someone will help u.

I too m a North India kayastha ..just to clarify ..Kayasthas are the descendants of Chitra Gupta who are known to keep records of every individual as Chitra Gupta Ji was first noticed by Brahma Ji with a notepad,ink and ink pot in his hands.Primarly a well educated caste!!

To answer your question..a kayastha can b married to other caste and community.There is no restriction as such .I am not much aware of Bengali kayastha.

I am kayastha, shaadi se pehle Srivastava, now m Kulshreshtha. I m supporting here Brahmins .Agar kabhi kissi Brahmin se Milo toh unke way of living se hi pahchaan sakte hain.woh bhi hamare tarah hi western clothes pehente hain but I think woh sort of vegans hote hain.

I am also Kayatha and basically from UP,Johri before marriage,Shrivastava after marriage and I heard there are Bangali Kayatha's also but not sure about it! I think, CVs just wanted to show that what kind of problem arises when two persons from different culture wants to marry as marriage is not only about girl/boy but also about whole family.I am from hard core non veg family and my hubby from veg but my in laws never forced me to stop eating same and I understand veg people can not even smell non veg so never bring same at my home,its about respecting their sentiments. I feel,every cultural their traditions are different but no way anyone is less then other and we should respect all the cultures.Just my POV 😊

Marriage in two communities are possible,I have seen with my friends but both the families should sit together,discuss about what need to be done,what not,how the rituals will be followed and proper communication is very much required so that on the wedding day everyone is happy.

If I am not wrong Priya,you were also in Reporters forum,right?

Yaah ,some bengoli's r also kayasthas.One of my friend who's bengoli is also kayasth.Her surname is Dey .And I know v much about bengoli culture..My parents are from Allahabad ,tho I have never been to Allahabad.
Good to see few kayasthas here.hum log toh studies and music ke liye hi jaane hate hain.
Ab discovery channel se Sony channel pe shift ho rahe hain.
