Amongst so many posts about yesterday, I have one more but I simply couldn't stop myself from writing this one.😳
For those who liked the episode - pls read, you might relate to my feelings 😃
For those who didn't like - pls read, maybe you can understand the perspective and POV of those who did 😛
Sorry for the longest post ever. Hope you read it till the end...
Guess this is the repercussion of having too much in one episode, so don't blame me, blame the writers for this one, for they filled this episode with too many emotions and shades of love in different relationships. 😉😳
Before I start my dissection, I just wanna say I sooo loved the episode. 🤗
Yes I am not content as it didn't give me time to absorb all emotions it had but then whatever I saw got a smile to my face that is still on. So I would like to concentrate on the positives and give the not so positive things a little rest. 😎
The episode was full of surprises for me, to many, it was more of a shock.
Part 1
Elena and Sona coversation
Elena - Elena analysed things from a point where she is not herself in the situation. Belonging to the younger generation she couldn't relate much to Ishwari's emotional act.
To many of us who are from her generation, these emotional talks are more of lecture simply coz we might understand the emotions but to us the words spoken have too much of melodrama (for instance the jholi feylao act here), hence, we don't feel connected. But at the same time, we understand people from our age more and so she knows that whatever she was saying about Ishwari was only been heard and not listened upon coz Sonakshi's love for Dev is overpowering other practical aspects.
Her line "Sona just say that I love Dev and I wanna marry him, it's that simple".
Yes, it is that simple for someone who is not in love coz they know at the back of their mind that whatever you tell a person in love, ultimately they will decide to take the path of love.
That common dialogue - "iski aankhon pe pyaar ki patti bandhi hui hai" not literally but still holds so true.
You feel all this while What I was saying has gone down the drain, it was actually chapad chapad for this person and nothing more.
Love is so strong an emotion, if all other emotions come together vs. Love and decision is in the hands of the person in love
RESULT - all other emotions along with the person himself will lose and Love will win hands down.
Sonakshi - I could relate to Sonakshi so well. She's so much in love that her doubts are coming and going but her love for Dev is constantly staying with her throughout.
For anyone who has been in love and wanted to marry that person, this feeling would have been something they would have experienced in their life's atleast once.
So Sonakshi wants to marry Dev, no second thoughts on that. But when you are in such situation, things really are not that simple.
Your mind somewhere knows that you want to go with love, but it is aware of the fear that problems will arise.
She is confused coz her definiton of loving someone and showing that love is very different from that of Dev.
Her love is sensible and has some balance. It says person you love is more important than your feeling of love for him.
But Dev's love is not mediocre or simple or balanced. It's more of an attachment.
Sonakshi is scared of jumping, that fear of problems erupting is there but Love is telling her, jump jump for there is no other way, rest all will be seen later.
Her mind finally is going to make a decision, get married, whatever problems will come, we will see.
Just say Aal is Well beta and kud ja. Kal ki kal dekhenge, abhi shaadi kar le.
And just what she wanted at this moment arrives.
Assurance and that too from a mother.
Asha - Asha is too sweet. Just like mothers of daughter's are. A big hug to her.
Yesterday, she reminded me of lajo ji from DDLJ. 😳
She's a perfect example of how easily a woman can forgive others. How few emotional words and acts make them Sure that the person saying them is a good soul (Ishwari here). How they put behind their doubts, gain that confidence and make that statement true that
Life Goes on no matter what. 😃
Many of you might not agree with me here, but I feel mother's rather woman of that generation do not have a pre-defined opinion to situations. They take points from others opinions and form their own opinions out of them. Also, they first make up their mind of what they are in favour of and they back it by reasoning unlike many other who have reasons to make up their mind for something. That's how even though their lives might not be perfect and they might not be happy but somehow they live through it all.
That's what Asha also did. Ishwari hit that cord rightly, Asha understood it just the way Ishwari wanted to make her understand, she got so moved and convinced that she knew what she wanted out of things now and helped others in the family reach that conclusion.
Not that I think she's wrong, but I felt she was perfect to what I see around in my mom and many other woman. Her dialogues and seemed real to me. Her concern was genuine, her words made things move forward.
In simple words - Mitti Pao aur aage badho.😆
Part 2
Bijoy - He's just like my father. Too strict..uff ye aapke usool aapke adarsh. But when it comes to their daughter, their doting love can do anything to bring that smile to her daughters face. He can be upset with her but can never stop loving her.
So he gives her her happiness, keeping all the fears to himself only to share it with his wife. That's what fathers do right?
Let my daughter be happy and feel happiness in her life, I'll think and do something about those fear, problem areas and tensions simultaneously in the background. Let her have a good night sleep, I am there to protect her. I know these problems will come no matter how much I try to eradicate them, But she is strong enough to face them and she will never be alone in facing them.
And his concern are very genuine. They talk about CHANGE. The changes that will come into his daughter's life to which all girls have to adapt. It is always expected of girls to be perfect in adapting to that change from Day 1 in the new house. The new family won't give her time, and here the changes are big and small. They are not just minor deviations from her current life. They are going to be 360 degree changes.
In Simple words - Main meri beti to manaa nahi kar saka, kamzor padh gaya. I know she has chosen life full of difficulties for something that is giving her happiness now.
Sorab - he's a brother all girls would want. Always with her sister to minimize her sorrows and double her happiness.
That phone call simply showed how he couldn't control his happiness and how he knew his sister would immediately want to meet Dev coz only then her happy moment will become complete.
Part 3
Dev - I can never hate him and so I know why Sona can't hate him after all that he did ❤️
- Just a phone call and he was there. 😳
- He saw her come out running, he got that assurance what Sorab said was true. ☺️
- She ran towards him and stopped. They looked at each other, his eyes said it all. How he missed that face, iss chehre pe mera sab kuchh hai. ☺️
- Kept looking at each other - Coz they have looked at each other with those love in their eyes after long. Coz they wanted their eyes to communicate that feeling before their words could say it. Coz they might have looked at each other before, but this time there was some newness in the way they felt for each other.❤️
- Just when he finally realised it's happening for real - He instantly held her hand..Can't let you go anywhere now. Last time on engagement day when he held her hand, he had to let go of it but today he'll hold it tightly, he's got his haq back. 😳
- Next step ..always a hug, an impactful one.🤗
- Starts walking towards car realising she's not following, there she came running again, how can you forget, our hugs and happiness can never be complete without me running into you like that. Most of the things in love are cliched but Some things between two lovers are their own, their love's signature, patent - this hug is one of them. The feeling this one gives is something they want to feel again and again. That happiness just overflowed this time too. 🥳
- Aap rote hue bilkul achhe nahi lagte Mr. Dixit, Another signature - Mr. Dixit, Mr. Obhodro, Ms. Bose, Ms. Khargosh..we all do that..giving names.. Apna sa lagta hai..😳
- Aur aap har tarah se achhi lagti hai..sirf durr jaate hue achhi nahi lagti, isliye aaj ke baad mujhse kabhi durr mat jana - Coz even all this while I never went away from u..You were there in me throughout.
They have always been those old time lovers, their love has that old school feeling, traditional kind of love where all these words are considered romantic and not funny/ awkward. 😳
- I love the way he puts his hand on her head, his love has that care, just like you do to a baby. He has too many ladies around him for whom he cares and has to take care of them, so his love for the new lady is also that caring type of love. ☺️
- The proposal - It was subtle, not over the top. Like I said, traditional type of love so cliched words will always do the magic. Something hopeless romantics like me will love.
No new clothes, no getting ready, no date, no thoughts of how I should be looking, whether the rose are fresh or not. Just simple and plain, a sudden one which takes you by surprise. 😳
Simple things touch you more and make it more unique ..
Again full of signature moments and dailogues - Kya tum Mrs. Obhodro banogi. ☺️❤️
(Those preparations can have no logic coz when I tried to put logic..all I could say was..look at your confidence man..you knew Ishu will do it, everyone will get convinced and so you were busy preparing for that proposal 😆)
Part 4
Ishwari -Finally I have achieved what I wanted to. As a tradition, kangan has to be there. My role can't end without that. Thankfully she remembered that it can't be Dev's dadi's considering their financial history, so no such dialogue atleast.
Sona called her Maa. Oh, it hurt, reality. Can't run now..just smile and try to accept the change. See I am Happy.
Riya, Nikki - Obvious reactions. They were always fond of Sona.
GKB - Couldn't say anything good coz she can't pretend but had to say something so why not something I actually feel
Mamaji - Obvious reactions again. Say thanks to your mom dad for accepting us. Genuine happiness to see Dev happy.
Vicky -Obvious reaction but in open this time, a little strange but then he couldn't control his anger.
Sona knows how to handle such cases. If she has to handle Ishwari, she has to start that with small random people like Vicky and GKB. And how she will do it? She'll make them explain in their own language.
Neha - We all saw. She had something going on in her mind which showed on her face.
To me, I thought it was because
1. She has been kept out of the entire Dev Sona episode. It's only after something significant has happened in her family's life that she gets to know about it, rather just informed about it. No involvement. That feeling a daughter gets of being treated as "parayi" after her marriage.
2. She knows her mom too much. And more than that she knows her mom when it comes to Dev. So somewhere its not easy for her to accept the fact that her mother has agreed for the wedding and on top of that she was the one to go to Bose family and talk about it herself.
I won't be surprised if she has an intuition of the difficult road ahead of Sonakshi. She knows the mother son duo out and out.
If you ask me, I feel of all the people in Dixit family, she's the only one who has grown up in all respects, matured both emotionally and practically.
