I don't know whether to laugh or cry after watching yesterday's episode. The most annoying thing about yesterday's episode, apart from Shaheer's hair, was the pace.
This has always been the problem... The confession to Ishwari episdoe actually prompted me to write my first OS ever.
Too much happened all at once. Before I got time to process what Sonakshi's issue with Dev really is we had her worrying about bijoy. Then suddenly, Bijoy agreed. Before we know it, Dev is here honking away merrily. Then she runs out and we get the patch up. Which was weird. I dont have any other word for it. It was stupidly choreographed. They hug for one second then Dev suddenly rushes away God knows where, then stops and turns and kind of wonders what the hell just happened, before he has a chance to process, here comes the flying hug. Which also lasts all of one second.
The background sound added to the ambiance.. .If only they had hung on a minute longer the overall effect would have been something else itself.
Then came the proposal. Something the makers have been building up for quite some time. It seemed like an anti-climax to me. It was simple and sweet. A cliche. Which is fine. But after the amazing confession scene, I expected better. By better, I don't mean grand. I would've much rather preferred a heartfelt apology, sincere conversation, pouring out their heart's content to each other and mostly - just a really really passionate hug. It wasn't needed for frills. It is critical to the story line. They JUST got back together. If I was Dev/Sona I would not want to let go of my partner even for a second. Especially after all they've been through.
People think we complain about the grandeur of the proposal.. In front of Sona's house itself had he gotten on one knee and told her, he has been to hell and back and he cannot imagine his life without her and she sat on his knee and hugged him with tears flowing from both their eyes like no tomorrow would have been the best proposal ever
Coming to the Dixits, the whole scene at Dixit house could have been saved for today, instead concentrating on giving us a little more intimacy between two people who have been through an emotional rollercoaster recently, just got back together, and the guy just proposed.
Vicky-RR scene was unnecessary. Neha's expressions - unfathomable. Ishwari's - unfathomable again.
Well at least if Dev hears Vicky misbehaving there is some sense to the nonsense but when even that is not slated to happen why did this scene have to happen why then why there?
Like you said, I had a smile on my face while watching the episode, but as soon as I shut the laptop, I had an uncomfortable feeling. Something just didn't sit right.
