It is not surprising that Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi enjoys a crazy following on social media. Rated as India's top show on IMBD, the love story of Dev and Sona is one of the most critically acclaimed shows this year. People love the sizzling chemistry of the lead pairs, identify with the conflict and can't stand it when the two are separated. Here is a look at why it is so relatable.
Love actually
Though the spark between Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sona (Erica Fernandes) was visible right from the start, the love story took time. From dislike to understanding and love, it went from strength to strength. There are many who can identify with the course of their journey. This is unlike the quintessential daily soaps where forced/mistaken marriage leads to love. Moreover, the characters had a maturity that is seen in folks around us.
Believable families
Yes, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has its villains but there are not the ones we are used to. The insecurity of Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) is something many mothers/daughter-in-laws and girlfriends will relate to. It is more relevant in today's times when nuclear families rule the roost. Mammi (Alka Mogha) is quite cunning and manipulative but such characters are found in every family. What say?
Expressions of love
The manner in which Dev and Sona express their affections is quite realistic. We are sure many girls had their partners dropping them home religiously in the initial days of courtship. From the cute snaps on social media to the tying of the gajra on Sona's hair, their romantic gestures are quite believable. The only thing out of the world was the confession, which TV viewers will remember for a long time.
Mix of emotions
Whether it is love, pain, betrayal, anguish or sorrow, the emotions touched on the show feel very raw. Also, the manner in which everyone reacts to developments is very natural. We loved how Sona chased away Dev after he tried to meet her after breaking their relationship. From the hurt in Sona's eyes to Dev's desperation, the colours of love are brought out well.
Focus on emotions/relationships
The fact that the makers avoid excessive melodrama makes Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi more relatable. There are no corny dialogues, litres of glycerine and loud background music used to enhance emotions.
Do you feel these are the reasons that make the show and DevAkshi a truly unique pair.
