Disappointed at how all is transpiring. I wanted Ishwari to honestly realize who she is and what she is doing to her children...
I don't think Ishwari has learned anything. the whole dialogue baazi with her two daughters... it was all taunts to me... maa mahan kaa jaap... i was sooo pissed at what she was telling them. today... she made it appear that mamaji and Dev made her do this. it wasnt' her fault at all. dev had built a high wall around him so she couldn't see his true feelings😡 she herself wanted to appear mahaan to her daughters so she gave all those surmons. she made it sound like because Dev and mamaji were at fault. mamaji becuase it was his job to guide her as a big brother and Dev didn't tell her right away.. she refused otherwise, she wouldn't have refused Sonakshi. it was all about how kids are selfish and grow up and make their own decisions.. maa just has to xpt because maa mahaan hoti hai.. and Ishwari, thinks of herself to be Mahanta ki devi🤢

Are there others who feel this way or you think ishwari has changed and has realized her insecurities and how they led to her losing her own son?

Ishwari is a selfish and insecure woman. A woman who is manipulating her own children to satisfy her insecurities, and i dont think she would ever change, neither do i want CVs to show her changing. She is in her old age. NO ONE changes in this age, thier children and younger ones learn to handle and adjust them, and this is what the story should have been about.

A story where a "MATURE" couple realises that the mother is insecure and how they remove her insecurities MUTUALLY through realistic and logical explanations.

What ishwari said today was true actually! Yes mamajee didnt tell her and Dev hid his feelings, so what does that prove? It was THIS simple to handle her! Yes you tell her plainly and assure her that she is not going to be sidelined and bam - there you go .. she will be on your side.

Ishwari will ALWAYS be an insecure woman, she will not learn, Dev and Sona need to handle ehr insecurity with assurance, so gradually her insecurity subdues and she starts trusting, because if they expect her to change and whole heatedly accept Sona, thats not going to happen - she will ALWAYS stay insecure for her son and accepting a fault as a parent, she needs to be handled.

Okay disclaimer - i am NOT defending ishwari's creepy behaviour but what i am saying that people dont change in this age, they need to be handled, like children are. Like parents handle thier babies in young age, children need to handle their parents in old age.

Infact Ishwari's rant shows how immature and dumb Dev and Sona had been, Dev more than Sona afcourse, if your mother is beahivng unreasonable, what do you do? Start acting like a drunkard retard? and Sona .. your love is not able to handle ehr mother and you quickly decide to get married and then call your ex to engagement and all ..

The track has been handled very very poorly, which makes the leads look weak characters that two mature people couldnt understand that all they needed to do was to talk and give time to thier mother.

Also, Handling Ishwari is a hurdle in Dev's life, YES people have difficult parents .. unreasonable parents ..
i didnt want Sona to stand on the opposite side and always wiegh Dev's love on scale k kab is ne meri side li aur kab maa ki side li! I hate CVs for giving it this shade .. Dev and Sona should have been together in handling ishwari .. like a couple, giving it this shade makes it another saas bahu serial ..

@fantasia

Thanks for your thoughtful tesponse. I agree people cant change inold change. And its upto people who care about pathetic seniors like Ishwari to handle them with gloves. And thats Dev's job, not Sona. She tried doing that but the manchild didnt listen to her. Sona appears to be all in for workkng on Ishwari and we have seen she tried... despite the taunt attacks, games and manipulation Ishwari did. Dev, on the other hand, is a product of Ishwari.:: he hasnt been raised to think on his own. And even now, he is blindly following mahan Mata's order without looking at the situation from Sonakshi's POV!!! Sona also had famoly pressures... her dad started talking marraige day 2 of breakup. Acha rishta appeared magically day 3 and daddy was all over it.. hey.. remember ahe walked in the house.. and here is groom and his family staring at her! Where was the choice? She was so heartbroken and vulnerable she allowed herself to believe.. parents can fix me.

But my issue lies in glorying mothers like these and showing her to be all sacrificing and not at fault because she is Maa.

@vibg - Well it can sound very practical on paper to NOT handle such individuals with gloves but if you do have a parent like ishwari than what do you do? .. . You HAVE to handle them because you dont have a choice, what you do have a choice is to handle them in a way that you are able to give proper respect and love to your partner as well..

I completely agree that more than Sona it is Dev's job to realise what evil his mother is and then approach Sona for her help, because uptil now he thinks his mother is mahaan and has agreed to the marriage which is pissing Sona off (i also dont agree with her new found feminism but well lets leave it) .. but CVs showed BOTH of the leads behaving PATHETICALLY throughout this fiasco .. no one realised what the problem was and became cry babies themselves.

as for Sona, yes she had family pressure but at the same time she had an equally supportive mother who kept on asking her that is she happy or not .. and what is the use of such pressure if you are going to run away from your engagement? Poor behaviour!

Ishwaris realisation is not important, Dev and Sona's realisation is IMPORTANT that Ishwari is a psychological patient and she needs to be handled.

Dev to throw away his meri maa mahaan chant and SEE that his mother is a mental patient and so does Sona.

EDIT - Also i feel that they are not glorifying ishwari, infact painting her negative and the villan

Nice response.
Couldn't agree with you more. It is very difficult to change the behavior of the elderly. Either you will get used to it or ignore or be more emphatic, but don't treat them like a glass vase that's fifty years old

Even in real life, girls sometimes have to handle Iswari kind of MIL's. Either they will ignore them or became smart to handle their insecurities.

I hoping, after Dev and Sona's marriage, we will get to see maturity in Dev and sona. Already they have gone through so many tests, so it will be interesting to see how CV's will handle this track.

In today's episode Irshwari was genuinely felt bad for actions and accepted Sona for Dev. She saw her son suffering and also saw the same love in Sona for Dev. But all these for few days.

Her insecurity trait will not go away so easily. I don't think Ishwari realized her insecurities yet. Her insecurity will arise as soon as she sees her son giving more importance to Sona than her 😕

That whole dialogues between ishwari and her daughters gave us the preview of what's to come. She is never going to accept Sona, only did the whole i am Mahaan natak, even her Daughters look scared for what's tO come. My advise to Sona is still the same, Runnn faar far awayyy !!! These mother-son duo is good for nothing, and you won't get any happiness in life living with them.

She being alone and insecure with so many people to feed... She has learned the art of emotional blackmailing and manipulation very well all her life..

No matter what she will turn a bad situation around and make herself the innocent one and will try everything to retain her position in the house(a dictator)

She very well knows that she lost this battle and eventually dev will get sona .. So she is doing all this drama so that she gets the credit of bringing sona into devs life.. It was beaucee of her command he is going to do it..

Just want sona not to yield soon and teach dev how important she is in his life before acceptance

Very good post..

I don't want Sona to just run away! I want Dev to fight, realize his mistake, and win Sona's trust back.. If he truly loves and cares for her, Dev and Sona will be able to handle Ishwari together! Yes at this age Ishwari is definitely not going to change, but as a couple DevAkshi can make her feel imp and give her the respect,,love a mother needs!

Ishwari is very insecure and selfish! But with time she will come to love and respect his wife, I believe it's in DevAskshi's hand to deal with Ishwari together!
