I loved it and wouldn't want to change anything...

So the purpose of the episode is

1. Tone down the hatred towards Dev and prepare for Monday episode.. Show us that dev is keeping his promise and CVS want us to root for devakshi

2. Show that even ritvik doesn't stand against his father even though he knew everything about sonas past

3. Make ritvik yell at dev for something that dev didn't do --- again sympathy for dev and anger for rithik

4. Set stage for maha episode. Now with news paper fiasco rithiks and his family know all about devakshi and when sona runs for dev on engagement day .. I don't think they will be very understanding this time... Atleast in reality that's how it should be

I think now Ishwari will also realize that his business is going down because he is depressed, once he faints at the engagement , it will be a turning point for Ishwari. She has ignored Dev's sadness till now but now she will understand the issue when the business is going down. Also, when Neha comes to visit him, she will say it to Ishwari because it is in the newspapers and TV. Plus it will set the stage for the Bose family to deny the rishta when Ishwari begs them and then we will get to see the initial promos.

Why do I have a feeling that this newspaper scene is going to play a important role in the coming episodes ...

Is this scene shown to justify the marriage between Sona and Ritvik ..maybe they will get married in a hurry after engagement fiasco. ..Sona will admit Dev in hospital and she might realise how Dev and his business is effected because of their breakup and will decide to go away from him for his good ..at the same time to stop the waging tongue and to protect her family's honour she will request Ritvik to marry her immediately ...they need a reason to show why Ritvik will agree for instant marriage ...they might have a simple marriage and by the time Dev recovers she will be married and would be gone ...Dev will be back to his normal life though he will be lifeless he willconcentrate on his business ...

Or there is another possibility ...after Dev faints and Sona by his side on her engagement day it would be clear to the whole world that they had an affair and there is still something going on between them and society will point fingers at Bose family and Sonakshi''s character. ... .this might force Dev to go against his mom and he will take a stand for Sonakshi as he was responsible for the engagement to break.. Ishwari might reluctantly agree seeing Dev's condition. ..

I am not sure if I made sense but I somehow feel this scene was not a filler scene...there was a reason to introduce this ..hope my second prediction comes true

No dear . Ishwari is not going to accept... She will let son rot and not care at all .. If u see the initial promos.. Ishwari will remain indifferent...
To mive story fwd dv and sona have to get married and be under sam roof to work on all the dixit clan..
I am thinking what else could trigger dev to marry sona against ishwari... I am thibking ishwari might start looking for a bride for dev .. Dev is going to be so pissed off and may go and get married to sona or some other ishwaris raaz will open and he qill take the step

Very remote chance of this happening.. Engagement will nt happen at all.: sona will not goahead with it.. Dev might tell her that ishwari sent the alliance and he is heart broken with this whole situation.. Sona will not leave him- remember aap mujhe chodenge tab bhi nahi chodungi...

Also from initial promos sona doesnt move on

a big hello to everyone..new to this forum ,have been watching the show for sometime now and catching up on the missed episodes...

coming to the post...i think this episode was a culmination of all the points mentioned...tilt the sympathy back to dev,intensify the grudge between the two families and show ritwick as more human and finally to make him realize that no matter what she still loves him and will always do ...

this journo fiasco i doubt is a filler...after this and the way sona reacts in her engagement ,this whole affair thing is going to intensify along with her alliance breaking...ishwari we know is not going to move a budge however broken dev is or will be...what is going to force her to accept this relationship is when her son's reputation and business takes a huge backlash ...along with being blamed for spoiling sona's life by the media and her family...she would have no option but to accept it...this is in sync with what supriyaji said about their love finally reaching its consequence but half heartedly accepted by her...

the actual story will start after that..marriage is definitely on cards...they have to get sona into the dixit asylum for her to interact with every other character...cannot go back to the mother's nutritionist route which has already been done with and only after their marriage can other characters be shown as part of this show...there is not any story in the bose household anymore...hence the focus has to completely shift to dixit asylum without much distraction...

bijoy and asha to would have to agree even with a heavy heart for their daughter's happiness and reputation but with the constant fear of the helll she has to endure

bijoy's rant in his anger is going to come true...ishwari will be at their doorstep for his reputation rather than happiness...

this comes from my decade long experience of watching Indian shows and am pretty sure the makers will not prove me wrong😆😆

the only thing am clueless i about dev sona's equation...i doubt it will be happily ever after atleast from sona's side...he may really have to prove his worth to her...how can they not go the i hate you like a love you marriage track 😆

I don't think sona should get married to hrithik. He shouting at Dev doesn't make him the bad guy and I still don't have any sympathy for Dev.
But I also don't think sona will get married to dec so easily.. He needs to make amends to a lot of hurt feelings in sona's family.. He needs to heal all of them. And then he needs to take a stand for sona in front of his mother and show her how important sona is in his life. That does not diminish his mother's importance or his love for his mother. Ishwari has to understand this and then probably go to sona's family and apologize for her nonsensical behavior.. And then accept sona with all her heart-- ONLY THEN SHOULD SONA THINK OF GETTING MARRIED TO DEV!!

Very well said I think Devakshi marriage is still far ,there are many issues going on between Sona and Dev,and I don't think Sona's family is going to accept Dev easily this time ,the fainting of Dev in sona's eangangement was just a reality check for Sona to make her realise how much she is invested in Dev and I have a strong feeling Sona will break the alliance and not DTKL😊

Excellent!

i also want to add one more observation. After the brief heart to heart conversation between Sona and Dev in their office, Dev has seen and has finally understood that Sona loves him but is putting up her love on the altar.. He has learnt and is determined to do the same. I think he wants to see how Sona manages to sacrifice her love and still attempt to be cheerful..

He will learn the hard, hard way that it is not at all easy and it comes at a huge price.. let us all stay tuned for the monday episode to learn what that price is.

Do i agree to all this? Not in one bit!
